How does your game fit the theme?
The game is centered around death. The ultimate end. But for the Hero, a new beginning when he is resurrected by Death itself.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code except for the text scripts which were a game maker extension. The art and story were done by my team of 4 that are all credited in the game and the page. The music was commissioned for the project. The composer is also credited.

Fun metroidvania and puzzle platformer which you get to control your physical and astral bodies to advance in varying areas! The concept is solid in my opinion, and the theme was included well with its game controls and lore.

Each area's layout has their purpose for the player to switch back and forth with their form. Also, the background music rocks! It was a really fun experience in my case.

For a game done in a week, this is pretty solid!

The graphics and music were great! Even if a little bit light on sound effects.

The dying temporarily mechanic was pretty unique and fun to use!

Main issue lies in the controls. It was interesting to see the traditional WASD format ditched with A to run, D to use your current "special" thing (idk the name of it) and S to attack, however while D felt pretty natural, A and S felt a bit weird.

I got stuck on the first boss because I couldn't really get the hang of jumping and grappling at the same time. It felt weird at first but on a second playthrough it didn't feel as bad, however I didn't have time to progress back to the original boss.

Even with these negative points, the mechanics were creative, the graphics were awesome, the music was cool, solid entry!

I really love the art and music! My main gripe with the game is that the combat is a little basic at the moment. You go up to the enemies and click but since you have to be close to hit them and if you touch them you take damage  you end up just trading hits. The controls are also a little weird but that might just be me. Other than this the game is great! The ghost mechanic is solid and once again the art and the music are really good! I think if you just flesh out the combat a bit more this game could do great! This is really good for a game jam!

This was very fun! The ghost mechanic was cool, and while the character's swing animation was a little awkward the boss fights were pretty fun. The only main criticism I had was with the second boss, the laser pillars hitboxes came on a bit too fast to reasonably get out of and they lingered a bit longer than is intuitive, so I found myself walking forward into empty space and still taking damage a few times.

I absolutely loved the game, and the fact that you could go back into the level and use the new items that you found to find health and stuff

Thanks for the feedback :) . Tried to give movement options with the grappling hook and you do unlock double jump after the first boss, but that doesn't help during the first boss fight haha.

Really creative ideas with the game mechanics! It made for interesting puzzles for sure. One piece of feedback is that I got stuck on the boss because it felt like a lot of buttons to press to have to switch back and forth between the sword and grapple hook. Otherwise great job!

I love the way this knight uses death!! and boss fight is really challenging! If I could save and load my data, I would do it every day.

Nice game! The attack animation and sound felt like I was petting the enemies. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but made me chuckle. Ghost mechanic was really cool and a nice variety of ways to interact with the world, great job!

It was not, but that is funny. The attack noise actually is a compound of the sound played more than once and I just didn't notice it until I uploaded lol.

Really fun little platformer. The music and art were both great and the mechanics of using your ghost made for some nice puzzles with the addition of the stuff like the levers, boxes, etc. Unfortunately got softlocked in the room where you get the grapple since I accidentally hit e and then walked forward through the door and couldn't find a way to get out or damage myself but the enemies were fun to fight against / avoid and the story in the gameplay was nice
