Hey,
I don't really do horror games. But it looks interesting so I tried it. I love what you've done with the Synty Space pack. Nice job. The mist is very good. The audio was absolutely spot on.
The creature may need a tiny bit of work :P
Overall, fun game! nice job.

Please can you vote my game on the last day before the jam ends? Thank you :D

That's a beautiful game ! I would recommend some more SFX for the monster when he walks near the player to insist a bit more on the "horror" aspect and make the player stress a bit more when the monster is near. This would also help to predict the monster's arrival, which is, for now, pretty hard sometimes.

Great job !

Well polished game

Good Job :)

Really high quality! Can confirm scary

Wow guys your game is fabulous, I love horror games but they make me nervous and this one especially, mainly thanks to the sounds it has.

Although I like it, I didn't know what the objective was and I was going around the ship for a long time and with my tail between my legs haha.

It is a suggestion, but maybe a bar to know when the flashlight is ready to light would be useful. Also, I felt that each room had something to hide so I explored a lot and in every corner, but I didn't find anything. So more objects would be cool.

One last thing, I don't know how this game fits with the theme, because I didn't feel like the fog made me hallucinate, I mean, I died a lot and the alien seemed very real for me haha. Maybe the hallucination is that person in yellow who disappears when you get a little closer? Idk.

An interesting game for sure. And hope to see the v1.1 :)

I hate scary games :( I had a tough time :D But it looks and plays really well, well done!

Alien isolation meets .Dead space . really great game but I can't do horror games any more love the sound effects, the ambient sounds, the art, the menu is really well done.  Sorry I can't play more but I will get my son to play it  so I can see how it ends,   not really sure what is my objective. can I kill the Alien Monster?

Developer(+1)

No. Most horror games create their horror with also being completely disarmed. The only thing you can do is run away and use doors to cut off your stalker. But thanks for the comment! And make sure to revisit after the jam ends. We have a lot of bugfixes, adjustments and improvements ready for version 1.1 :)

I will for sure

Really great entry! The graphics and audio were both well-developed, making for a thrilling experience. The spaceship felt expansive, yet the alien never felt far away enough to take away the tension. I also appreciate that you added a mouse sensitivity option; that alone probably makes this my favorite game with mouse-controlled camera. The only thing I would change about the game is that I think it would be nice if there were more tools and interactive objects. But for a week-long jam game, I think this is a great one!

Developer

Thanks man! I am glad you like it that much :) Yes of course, adding more content/intractables would surely benefit the game. But we limited ourselves to the doors but tried to polish them as much as possible.

Hey!

First of all, congrats for finishing the game! I love the atmosphere, really great audio  work. The visuals are amazing. One thing that I would add is a resolution or graphics settings because (my PC is not the best so I had some lag and I wish I could change the resolution or something).

Nonetheless, the game is  fun and you did a really great job! Congrats!

This game is TOP NOTCH. I was genuinely terrified at a couple points in the playthrough. You guys have done a really good job in setting the atmosphere and the tone. The monster also looks great btw.

While I enjoyed the experience there were some things I thought could be improved:

  •  For one the Green objective dot would sometimes not show up on the scanner probably due to the scanner having a specific range. It is easy to get lost in the ship and without a waypoint I found myself running in circles trying to find the green dot until I randomly found the passageway to the hangar.
  • The objectives are kind of hard to see and I found myself scrambling to find them even when I was standing on top of the green dot in the minimap. I know they have a blue glow attached to them but many other things on the ship have the same. Maybe you could implement a system where if you shine a bright enough flashlight on the objective it has some halo appear around it.

I Also have 2 questions:

  •  I may have missed it in my playthrough but how did this game fit the theme?
  • Did you guys make this in 1 week from scratch? What is your process for getting so much done?

Anyways awesome job!

Developer(+1)

Hey. Thanks for the big comment! I am glad your had fun - or - a good chill ;)

Yes, we are currently working on all of the rest that didnt make it into the game, or need to be polished/adjusted. We will take your criticism in account!

Regarding your questions: You could learn from the audiologs, that the monster is emitting that greenish neurotoxin. That's why the whole spacestation is covered with it. This neurotoxin induces vision and audio related halluzinations, which aren't real.

No no, we didn't make it from scratch. We were 2 guys, where I did most of the gameplay. And the other person did most of the UI. The spacestation is an asset by Synty Studios. The monster also comes from another assetpack but got adjusted to look low-poly. Same with the UI stuff, it's a modular assetpack. We also used some other script-related tools to speed up processes or make them more efficient. But all of the rest came from scratch and was made in one week.

It's really just a matter of experience. At a certain point, you did a lot of stuff and can easily code out any feature or mechanic. So that's just a matter of time.

Thanks again and you might look at this project again, after we're allowed to upload new builds. As I already stated, there is a big patch coming :D

Awesome. Thanks for the insight! As for the hallucinations are you saying at some points the monster isn't real and I can run right through it?

Submitted(+1)

Loved the graphics and sounds ! Really felt like being in that ship.

Great game !

Submitted(+1)

The graphics and sounds are spectacular, you really achieved a very good immersion, I really liked your work, but I didn't quite understand what the objective was inside the ship, but I still had a lot of fun!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, we missed out on a small tutorial, but we are looking forward to polish up the few missing features!

Great job on the game - is really spooky for me :)
The first time i met the monster, i did not want to come out of the room.

Great job on the audio and graphics with the level desing. You managed to really create an atmosphere with your game

Developer

Thanks! I am glad you liked the spooky trip >:)

Very atmospheric! Did you make the art yourself?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

No, its an assetpack from Synty. Working with these was super easy!

Submitted(+2)

This game is incredible. The art style is amazing! Good job!

Developer

I am glad you liked it :)

Wow I really like the whole atmosphere, you really managed to achieve those ALIEN vibes I presume you were going for. Wandering the corridors felt truly claustrophobic (which is good), and the view from the bridge was a cool touch, good for immersion.

The only improvement areas I could think of is adding some instructions in-game (I thought "sensor" stands for the door openers until I checked the game page) and the voice recordings are sometimes hard to hear especially when the monster is nearby. Subtitles could fix that.

Overall, an authentic horror experience and a game that feels consistent and well polished.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed! :) Definitely will polish up the rest, after the voting stage!
