In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game requires teamplay in order to pass the game. Being together makes them stronger.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
No, but we were using only no copyright assets.

The concept is great but there were some bugs. Good job overall!

Has some bugs playing but the general gameplay is great, great concept!

I like the game!

just a tad buggy and glitchy at times, but I understand the limitations of a game jam.

The core of the game is fun and I had a good time nonetheless.

Good job.

I just question myself if the ball like knight is useful for something?
and didnt noticed the spikes the first times and died 3 times because of them and didnt know why (i thought both the characters were apart too far) maybe make them look a bit more dangerous.

I liked the game but I think it needs some small bugfixes like the shooting sound or... weird glitches when i move? or is this just me?
Still good job.

The artstyle of this was pretty cool, very simple and cartoony in a good way, and the idea of a ranged character and a character that rolls around was a pretty neat dynamic. In terms of design and polish I did have some issues however, with the biggest one being the fact that I never felt like I really needed to use the ball guy at all, with the gun practically doing all the work, taking away from the whole teamwork dynamic that you're trying to push. I also has a lot of instances where the screen would tear while moving, which made things look quite unpleasant at points. I personally also think that the gun doesn't really fit the aesthetic of anything else in the game,. from the setting to the artstyle, which took me out of it a bit. In any case, there's a solid foundation here that could definitely be improved with some more attention to level design, along with ironing out the bugs.

Nice short game. Could be more fun if Ball was useful for something.
It's not a bad game, but need lots of fixes, like glitches with the tiles when moving or jumping, or the gun sfx that doesn't stop when you stop shooting. Maybe adding some extra levels and some useful function to Ball would make it more fun to play.
The boss fight was interesting. Not very hard but at least was fun to play.

Good work! Congratulations!

Similar feedback to the other comments, and also I don't think an assault rifle really fit with this art style, but fun either way

Nice game with good graphics and audio, but the gameplay felt kinda unbalanced. Most notably I didn't even use the ball character much.

Cute little game, I really like the art style, my only advice is a little balancing between the two characters would go distances, all in all, solid game!

Really liked the aesthetic of the game (especially the combination of cartoony characters and the realistic gun)! The only thing that felt a bit weird was, that if you stand on top of another character, you can't jump. But other than that a really solid platformer.

Unfortunately I feel like there is no need for me to use the ball character.

I'm not entirely sure if you forgot to remove the 'Ctrl' mechanic where you shoot extremely fast, but even without that mechanic the boss dies too fast, he has time for around 1 attack total, I feel like the boss should be more tanky.

I think that the boss being more "bossy" and giving a need to the ball character would be a nice thing to change!

I also fell under the ground with the ball guy.

Great game though!

I think the switching mechanic is great but I didn't really have a reason to use the round guy as the gun guy did all the work. Also I think the duck and shoot mechanic is broken, I killed the boss in like 0.5 Seconds. My Jam entry also has a similar switching mechanic.

Hey I like a lot the switching players mechanic you implemented it so well!

Cool platformer! The character with the gun felt a little stronger than the other though. Boss fight was very cool!

Nice game i love the art style, the mechanics are well implemented, good job well done. Its also funny that i had the same idea about the swap character system if you have some time you could take a look at it, feedbacks are welcome https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/929212

pretty nice game, liked how you made the character switching by giving both players a defined position in space and when you switch back to one of them they will be where you last left them. One thing I'd add is more feedback when player is getting shot, and also an animation when the player dies. But overall you did a good job!

Thank you for your feedback. Actually, we have the die animations for both players, it's just that the game stops immidiately after death. We will definitely change it.

yeah something like Invoke("functionName"); should do the job
