In what way does your game fit the theme?
There is an option where the player can move in the present, however the enemy units are moving back in time for approximately 5 seconds.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Only for the character sprite and animation and the music I used premade assets due to lack of time.

pretty nice graphics and background music. perfect fit for theme. it's quite hard tho sometimes enemy spawns next to the side and instantly losing health. other than that fun game! good job!

Congrats on the game! Like the character art! Some feedback:

  • The idea that you will get damaged if you let enemy pass beyond the edge of the map feels pretty challenging. However, it would definitely be better if visual feedback was provided when player is damaged. Sometimes I did not even realise that i was damaged & "suddenly" dies
  • Key bindings are a little weird. I had to use all the keys, including movement, attack & rewind with my left hand. Why not utilize other keys that I can use with my right hand too?

Good game with really fluid animations! The player character feels really good to control too. One thing to be aware of is that enemies can spawn really close to the sides of the screen and then walk off, guaranteeing you take damage. Maybe allow them to only spawn in the middle third of the stage, or always walk towards the middle first?

I haven't beaten it fully yet, but I like what I'm seeing so far a lot.  There are a few things that might need some reworking, but this is just nitpicking:  

- the bosses seem kind of weird as it seems that you'll take damage no matter what you do, so if you have low health already you are guaranteed to lose.

- as others have mentioned, some sound effects for when you hit something could be a good addition, same goes for when you rewind and jump.

- the platforms don't seem to have much use as the enemies only spawn on the ground and you take damage if you don't kill them.

-Bosses need rework for sure, with the whole combat system

-Sound effects I started to record but never got the chance to implement, but is a good point!

-yes platforms I also drew a few more also water and such but also did not have any chance to implement or make some difference between those. 


Also the playthrough might not even be possible :D I did not have a proper playtest on lvl4 and lvl5. If anyone completes though that is nice and pls let me know! :)

Played a good bit of games here with bad jumping mechanics but you really nailed yours. I will say though I wasn't really sure what was triggering my health loss once the boss spawned I just seemed to lose most of my health regardless of what I was doing at the time.

Well, the bosses might be a bit too strong at this point and prolly the combat system also something that may need to be reworked a bit! 

You can lose health 2 ways though: if the small enemies reach one of the sides, or if you are in the attack range of the boss an it hits you.

Nice style! A few notable bugs:

  • The player can move slightly beyond the left & right screen edges
  • The [Restart] button sometimes doesn’t restart but just makes the screen darker

A tutorial would be nice as well, didn’t figure out what to :) Nonetheless - great job!

Hitting the enemies doesn't really fell good. A little feedback on the hits would go a long way.  Good game though, I enjoyed what I played.

The concept is really cool and i like how i need to switch between attacking and collecting.

i couldn't get passed level since it got too hard. first of all some enemies spawn too close to the wall and so the rewind won't help you.. and boom -40 hp :) throw a boss on top of it and you got an impossible level to beat

i would considering adding a ranged attack to help you attack the boss and get to far away enemies as an alternative to the rewind ability because of its programmed limitations.

artwork is great and gamplay is fund but needs balancing :)

Thanks a lot for this great review! Idea was exactly like that to have a ranged "ultimate" ability but unfotunately no time for implementation. 

Also on the last day I didnt have anyone to playtest for me and I had too many bugs to fix (some still remained). Thus I understand it is too hard I tried since then and I realised as well :)

Thank you :) I was most afraid of the artwork and after all I think it may be the best in the game :D After all maybe I should have focused more on some gameplay items.
