In what way does your game fit the theme?
Ideally planned for 6 levels, the story was to return the stolen items you took before without getting caught ("rewinding the crime")

The theme is a stretch, but after 2 days of brainstorming, it was time to settle on an idea either way.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all of the code myself, and my friend made all of the art by himself.

oh man or women, this game became m fab

visuals are on another level you really set the bars too high for this jam man that's looks and feels so amazing !!!!!

dude gives us a chance to shine out!!!!

Wow!  The visuals for this are really, really good.  And I love the flavor text at the beginning.  One thing is I would say the post processing is a bit too strong.  The distortion on the edges of the screen honestly made me a bit nauseous while moving, thought I have a bit of a weak stomach ha.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, If we release a fix for all the issues after the jam, ill be sure to tweak the post processing (there were a lot of effects) your criticism is justified!

I really like the little intro story to the game. It really ties up what the game is about.

Submitted

I love the graphics. The game is simple and fun. But I dont think that this game fits the theme rewind

all in all good game

Developer

Thank you, and i think i somewhat agree with you.

The visuals are absolutly stunning for a 7 day job!

Unfortunatly I didn't really got the hang of the game, but I definitly see a good potential for a stealth game. I think if you would give this thing a bit more time it could become a pretty solid game :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, i think its a little too hard because of the lack of "direction", it just throws you in. Something i would have definitely worked on if i hadnt spent so much time deciding on an idea! thank you for playing

I really liked the postprocessing effects and the artwork!

Beautiful visuals. I really liked the post processing making it look like camera footage and the written labels outside the level like in a cliche robbery plan.

I found it more fun to not wait for cameras/guards to look away but just run around from the guards who will have no idea where I went the moment I go behind a box. Unfortunetly I couldn't find the keys in reception.

Developer

Yeah, i had a friend mention the issue with the keys. They are on the far left, on the desk itself. They're hard to see as-is, but with post processing it becomes even more difficult. Thanks for giving it a try!

The game is cool. I actually played it for a long time. i really like how the game looks, and the concept( the game reminds me of robbery bob. Even though the game had some bugs(i can hide on the most walls and the hitboxes weren't properly placed on the player and on the guards) i still enjoyed it.Good job!

*maybe you would also like to play my submission*

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah, lots of clipping issues but im glad you enjoyed it. I'll be sure to check yours out in return ;)

Nice Idea, sometimes the robot goes inside the walls.. after the jam you can polish it and will be great.

Good job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

Love the art style!

Submitted

Tried to play it but unfortunately I cannot enter fullscreen. Next time try setting the "UI Scale Mode" in the "Canvas Scalar" in the canvas game object to "Scale with Screen Size" as that has helped me with my projects, so it doesn't have to be in fullscreen :)

Thank you for this tip! Sorry about the issues.

Same problem here

Developer

My friend is a good artist ;)

Liked the graphics and liked the gameplay, but there were issues with the window size.

Developer

Yeah, I really am not sure why, Fullscreen is the only way i think. I'll get it right next time :)

Submitted

The graphics look really awesome! The concept is really interesting, it sucks that you didn't got to implement the 6 levels you planned.

Developer

Yeah, there are a lot of features we didnt get in:

  •  More levels
  •  Sound
  • Clear location indicators
  • Clipping issues (office has no collision)
  • Obvious items to pickup and a sound or event to show you did it
  • Clear path for what to do next

The game is a bit too difficult with the items being clearer. Finding paper in the office is pretty much spamming "E".

Thanks for trying!

Really liked graphics. There was some z-indexing issues though, i think some object were clipping over others

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, In the office especially, i noticed but didn't quite have time to fix them! Thanks for checking it out and playing through. I'll give yours a shot :) wait, i already have haha
