In what way does your game fit the theme?
The main mechanic is tied to the destruction of enemies by rewinding in time the device that the player throws.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I did all code models, arts, sounds and music myself.

Lots of ways to interact with the rewind box makes for a thorough exploration of the theme. It takes some getting used to, but I think it is a very good idea and with some more polishing can lend itself to very interesting levels. Congratulations!

Needed to check the page to see how to play, but otherwise very cool!

I particularly liked that you utilised the rewind mechanic for multiple things: games are always better when one action has multiple uses, I found it cool you used it as the attack as well as for repositioning the cube.

I finally got to the end, but I found the last bit quite hard, having to get the timing of making a new paused box mid-air was quite hard, I ended up making a ladder of sorts by jumping on a paused cube, jumping, pressing R, spawning a new cube, pausing it and jumping on it. I'm not sure if that's how it was meant to be done, but I found that quite hard tbh haha. Perhaps being able to throw multiple cubes (you could pick up additional cubes along the way which let you throw 2, then 3 cubes at a time for example) and having them all controlled by the same rewind/pause/remove button would make for some interesting puzzle platforming.

Well done! :)

Wow, thanks for such an extensive answer! Sorry for not implementing tutorial, that was my first jam so next time I will immediately allocate time for this :)
Yeah, i had in mind that idea at the start, that you can jump and recreate cube in air, but with current movement system it felt clamsy for me and i deside to make level just for one jumps for now. Thanks again for your feedback

You're welcome. I also didn't leave any time for a tutorial, which I think made my game a bit hard to understand too; hopefully we both learn :) Well done on your first jam game!

Took me a while to figure out how to play but checked the game page to find the controls. The atmosphere is great, you did a good job with all the animations, sounds and models!

Developer

Thank you! Yes, game is bad in explaining how to play in it :D (didn't have enough time to add tutorial), but i am really glad you enjoyed the  game

Music was awesome ! Maybe you should have added colors to the 3d model like for example the ground or even the background. But it was a fun game to play !

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, you right, i just tried to get the effect of mystery from nondescript colors. Im glad you liked it :)

gets kinda tricky in the end but i did it! well done!
the general system is pretty solid,
some more general polish would have been nice too(jump acc/deceleration, speed of the box)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! Yeah, I agree, there is still more to polish and thanks for a comment :)
