Love the concept! The retro vibe of the game is really interesting too! I think maybe the sound when the player hits an enemy is a little too jarring, but overall a great entry! Really enjoyed it!

The concept is interesting, but the game feeling and the art makes it not enjoyable to play :/

The music loop gets quickly irritating, the UI is not clear and takes the right side in terms of vision space and the gameplay isn't very clear.

Overall I liked the concept but the art makes it a bit unplayable.

This is definitely an interesting concept! As others have said, I think it could use some bug fixes with the rewind along with some general polishing. I also think the theme could have been integrated a little more than it was. Otherwise though, it was a really cool game! :)

Good job doing this all solo!

Interesting game! It would be super nice if we could restart at a given level. I got myself stupidly stuck at some point and had to restart the game all over.

The control panel is a really good idea but where it is positioned you're losing screen space and it's not very easy to read. I would make it more concise and move it where it does not use valuable space.

I think these small additions would greatly improve the game's lifetime! Keep up the good work!

Edit: If you could rate my game, that would be super nice too!

It was a good concept and could have been better. It was really good. The camera could have been better. Apart from that, some post processing would have been better. apart from that, awesome job.

Could you please rate ,my game too? It would mean a lot to me if you rate it too.

Developer

I already rated your game, it was great!

The game looks good. I like your idea. I think the camera movement could be smoother, but I still had some fun playing it. Good job :)

I really like the art of this game, and the idea isn't bad either. If I had some suggestions for improvements, I'd recommend looking into some more smooth camera movement- it can feel a bit jerky right not because the camera hard cuts whenever you get off the edge of the screen. I'd also try bugfixing the code that rewinds your character when you get hit- there was a point at which I got hit by an enemy and got rewinded into and through a wall, at which point the level became impossible to beat. Still though, I like the art, and especially for a jam game, this isn't bad at all. Nice work.

This is a really neat game! Great work!

I'd appreciate if you could also rate my game!

The game is good for a jam game :D of course there are some issues that can solved to improve the experience, one of which is the controls. Good job :) Hope you try mine too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968

lol nice game a bit unknown tho...

the Game is good overall, the text at the start hurts my eyes, and the art is cute, the game has some weird controls, and the rewind mechanic is a bit hard.

Submitted

Is there a way of just restarting the level without going through the intro each time?

Developer

No, I didn't have enough time to add that.

Please rate my game as well : https://bluemerlegames.itch.io/orbi
