In what way does your game fit the theme?
The player rewinds the cogs to reverse the direction of platforms, and another reason that won't be revealed until the end.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and made all the art myself. Some sound effects were used from Freesound under the Creative Commons licence.

Really nice! I love that death effect haha. The level design is really simple but good, and it adds unique mechanics! I think the biggest thing for me was that the music was a bit simple and  (it sounded like) it looped pretty quickly (Although thats the same with my game).

Overall, really nice job!

Nice one! I loved the idea, the art and the gameplay, even though I would have liked the old guy to move a little faster. Also, sometimes he would get stuck on the sides of the platforms or the wooden blocks.

Nicely done. I love the death sound. And jumping feels great.

Amazing game. Controls feel amazing. Art fits the theme perfectly. I loved that fall effect.

The game was really cool and i learned a lot on how to make the controls feel better because i made a lot of mistake in my platformer game

Super nice little game. Amazing graphics and a really cool idea. Clever use of the theme. Hope you continue working on it!

Amazing game! so cool concept. I just wish there were more levels though :(

What a lovely game! Wish you add more level after the Jam. Very well and clean design. The difficult ramp is perfect. The puzzle design fair. Not to easy, not to hard, just perfect.
Also love the effect when the poor old man falls. IMHO that's the kind of small details that makes a great game.
Congratulations!

Please if you have time, try mine :)

The artsyle is really good. I really liked the puzzles, not really difficult but not that easy either. I'll say it really hurt me everytime I fell, hearing the old man fall was painful lol

Developer

Thanks! The falling was meant to be more comedic than painful haha

Not sure what to tell you what a million other people propably haven't allready.

The game impresses in both quality and quantity right now, its nuts that all of this was achieved in about a week.

The sprites are great, the impact on land satisfying [though i feel the sound is a bit too ear ringing on short drops / hops], the death sequence is eery, the ending just wonderfully timed.

Though I have to wonder why a clocktower would have so much water running through, or is it rainwater leaking in?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Oh, and don't question the water...I obviously didn't when I made it haha

Amazing art, unconventional approach to theme. Great work!

The puzzle design was great and the art is stunning both visually and aurally. I really liked the decisions in colours and design. I also liked your double approach to the theme, didn't expect the ending. Great job!

P.S: Had a great time playing Souls of the Grumpps with you! It was nice to meet you!

Developer(+2)

Hey, it's you! That was a fun time playing with you earlier :)

and thanks for playing! That double approach in the ending was actually a last-day decision haha, but I'm super happy I thought of it.

Lovely atmosphere. I really liked the sound effects and the old man falling was hilarious. The player movement was also very satisfactory, great job!

Love the pixel art style, the music and the original take on the theme. When I first started I felt like the player character moved a bit slow, but over time I felt that it fit with the tone of the game and come to like the pace it set. Great game!

This is such a lovely game! The sound effects are awesome. The graphics work really well with the theme as well. Overall it's really polished and a fantastic game. Great job!

I like this take on using the theme for a platformer! The visuals were good, and I really liked the death screen shake haha. The water mechanic was also a lot of fun. I think it would be cool to see this with some more puzzle elements, like having multiple cranks and you have to figure out which ones to wind and stuff! The only thing I noticed was your character made his landing "oof" even if you didn't fall at all (like if you jump onto a platform above you and don't fall). Great game! Really enjoyed playing :)

If you have time please consider playing my game!
