In what way does your game fit the theme?
A mentor character demonstrates the correct fate to the player, and then rewinds the thread to see if the player can match it.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code myself, and did almost all of the game art, with the exception of one background image. The music and sound fx are licensed assets.

Hmmm...I didn't quite 100% understood it while playing bit think about it afterwards, it sounds like I just need to what the hand above to see what they create and then I control the hand bellow to duplicate the work? Like a game of simon says or something like that?

This game was really interesting. Definitely unique. I like that audio and aesthetics on this one. I would only have one suggestion. I was able to skip the intro... but afterwards I was like, "Oh that might have been important". So maybe forcing the player to wait for the audio to finish first.

Other than that. Enjoyed it. Great entry!

Could you also play and rate my game too?

Interesting concept. The art is good, the music and audio decent. My feedback would be the controls. Pressing Left Arrow after completing a round feels counter-intuitive. Like I'm going to undo my selection. I think Enter would be a better option. Also the first couple levels I got the blue card a lot. Level 1: blue, green; Level 2: blue, blue; Level 3: Blue blue green; Level 4: blue, blue, blue, green blue, but maybe that's on purpose.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's a 33% chance to get any of the colors, so statistically it can happen that one appears a lot.

Well done! I like the concept. It's simple but it's also an evergreen in the gaming world. I encountered some bugs after the level 2. But for a 1 week game it's not so bad ;) good luck!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice little memory game! It would definitely benefit from a faster pace, though. Dimming the colors of the fates when picking them leads to confusion in some cases (teal and blue), so it would be great if you could go back and re-pick a previous fate.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I will definitely implement those suggestions after the jam. Your game is next in my queue.

Very nice. I like graphics. Good job.

Loved this game. I like the art and the concept, trying to keep it simple and a fun game to play while making the player keep paying attention. I found a bug where the card stacked together when you're pressing to fast. Another thing to consider might be the pace, it felt a bit too slow and make the fun run out after a few minutes. But overall it's a great game, definitely should keep developing this game !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the pacing and the placement glitch are common themes in the critiques. Gotta get on those! Thanks again.

A good memory game, very easy to confuse the images, which requires a little more attention from the player. I liked the art and the music too, very well worked and chosen! I only had one problem, when I opened the credit, when opening it was on the Unity background screen. Congratulations!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. I will try to track down that bug. I keep thinking about your game and that cute character, well done once again.

hahaha cool, follow me that when i launch for mobile, u will know!

I love the art style of the game. Music also matches well. I wish memorizing phase is a little faster.

I really like the concept! <3

Developer

Thanks for giving my game a try! Everyone seems to agree that the memorizing phase is way too long. The next version will streamline all of that. I appreciate your time and feedback!

I like how you went for a memory game, it's a very unique genre and one that is very hard to do right, because it is often way too easy or way too hard and I think this one was on the easier side. The music and the visuals were suited for the game, and i like the premise you invented to give the game some context. What I'd change are the controls, it's good that you have a list of possible actions on the left, but i feel like the buttons were a bit too far apart for no reason. And lastly, i encountered a bug, but i don't know exactly how i caused it. I think it had something to do with pressing e at the wrong time

Developer

Thank you for the bug report. Yeah, I need to disable new token placement until the animation finishes. I appreciate the screenshot. This is my first game jam, and all the advice I got (from YouTubers like Vimlark) was to keep the game really simple and easy, but I think I might have gone too far in that direction. I will put your game next in my queue. Thanks again!

Interesting memory game. The graphics are really good! It does seem kind of slow, but that's just preference.

Nice job!

Developer

Yeah, that seems to everyone's feedback. I guess I over-compensated thinking that people needed time to memorize. I always needed to do a little chant when I played it: "dark blue card...purple spill...star coin..." Video game players are sharper than that. Thanks for taking the time to look at my game, I really appreciate it. Yours will be next in my queue.

Nicely done memory game. I think that the animations could be sped up a bit and there is no need for so much button presses (like confirming fate once you cannot change it anyway).

I liked the random mortal fates you get at the end. Now I feel bad for the guy who wanted a reliable car but got vegan life instead :C

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the random outcomes at the end!

Amazing game, concept and music! I loved the main menu (it was not just me who was hearing that godly voice, right?). And I liked that the controls were on the side of the screen, so I never forgot what to press. Very well done :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! That godly voice, though, maybe it <was> really all in your head. Time to go check out your game!

I really liked the game so much it is really fun.You took the theme to another dimension . Congratz On this game. One thing to notice i'd loved to see the game with a little faster pace .

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I totally agree. Fewer button presses and snappier motion.

Hi, some feedback:

  • Having to give input to show the "fate", going to the next level and such, slows down the pace.
  • You could do the same thing with less different buttons, if you keep the sequence of the game in memory, like "create fate", "next level" and "place token" could be the same button I think
  • I like that you add multiple fates on top of each other to increase difficulty
  • The visuals and music create a certain atmosphere from the get go, well done :)
Developer

Thank you for the great feedback.
