You must rewind time and use your previous knowledge of the guards' route to sneak though all 9 levels completely undetected.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?

Great game! I liked pretty much everything about it. Maybe a fast forward would have been a nice touch not to wait so long, but I really enjoyed this game!

Just curious, how did you make the line follow the mouse drag? Anyway, very good entry and I would highly appreciate if you could rate mine as well :)

Thanks for playing!

a simplified rundown of the process would be:

  1. break if the player is not holding down the mouse
  2. get the mouse world position then floor it to an int get tile coords
  3. break out of the function If the player is hovering over a square that is blocked by a collision tile
  4. break out of the function if the player is hovering over a tile that is already in the list
  5. break out of the function if the player is hovering over a tile that isn't adjacent to an existing list entry
  6.  Add the position to the list
  7. redraw arrow path

So basically take that process and sprinkle in 2 AM spaghetti coding to taste and you got my script

Very good game, and the use of the rewind mechanic is really fun!

Very cool stealth game, the characters moved kind of slow but I guess it added to the suspense :)

Great game! some feedbacks:

  1. Cool implementation of the rewind concept!
  2. Gameplay wise, it is about memorizing guards' movements, then rewinding, fixing your path based on your memory of the paths.
    1. I feel that the number of possible paths to finish a level is quite broad, which makes it kinda less challenging as I may expected & makes the game feel less puzzle-y. I think 1 way to improve the puzzle element of the game is to limit the no. of movement that the player can make, so that he not only has to think about avoiding guards, but has to also think about optimizing your path to reach the goal\

Overall, good job on the game!

ooh that's actually a pretty cool idea, it would also prevent the cheese strat on the levels without looping guards of simply wasting time at the start on purpose.

Very well made! The transitions between the blueprint screen and other screen felt seamless. I'm a big fan of stealth games and I really enjoyed playing this! It had a lot of polish and felt very good to play. Nothing bad I can say!

If you have time please consider playing my game!

Nicely made. Played well once I figured out the Q and 'space' mechanics. Fun and left me wanting more levels (or buildings to sneak through.

The rewind mechanic is not useful, It looks like I could beat the game without using it.

But it is a nice concept, I really liked planning the path but the thing is that is just a trail and error based game.

unfortunately i have to agree, as i made the planning screen more user friendly (automatically rewinding) it made the manual rewind less and less necessary, I was hopping it would still provide a way to see the guard's path to choose a better one (to hopefully avoid pure trial and error). But some of the levels have such specific required paths that it does become a trial and error.

Did have an issue with the webGL player not showing the complete level sometimes, but its whatever. Good job!

This game felt just right, everything was on point. Nice polishing on the levels , early levels are really easy but they progressively get harder. I can tell you play tested this game close to perfection  as some of the later levels need you to make much more adjustments in your plan. I'm not a huge puzzle game fan but this is game is 5 stars for me. Thanks for making it bro! Hope your game gets featured on Brackeys channel.
