In what way does your game fit the theme?
Commands are played backwards as if the command queue is rewinding what you submitted.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code, graphics, and sounds are my creation. Fonts via various free font sites. Textures via free texture sites.

I have always loved exploration games and you have implemented the theme in a really innovative way. Although some more dynamic camera movement would be much better.  Loved the game and waiting to see the updated version !!

Thanks for trying it. Since you enjoy exploring, did you find the easter egg? Hint, with good driving (commands) it takes about 25% of your battery to get to it.

Nope ... but now I'm going to try it again !!

Hey can you check mine !!

Very nice idea. I agree with other comments below, text is too slow. Having it run faster or instead of skipping if, show it first. Really like the sounds and graphics.

Not being able to move the camera felt very limiting. Maybe having the camera rotate with the Rover would be a good middle ground between the static camera and a full gimbal.
Overall, I liked the idea a lot. Let me know if you move forward with it!!

Developer

I appreciate the feedback. Most likely I'll incorporate some form of the suggestions I receive. Also want more rocks strewn about and to randomize (to some degree) the base placement so each run is different. Longer term goal is to do a series of devlog/tutorial videos on the making of it.

Very cool idea, I was eager to see how it turns out, but in the current state, it's hard to play. The introduction text fades in sooo slow, that I had to get some tea while waiting. Also, I can't rotate the camera and it's hard to see where should I drive the Rover (maybe it's a bug or something). Despite that, the idea is great. Indirect control in reverse order can lead to very cool puzzles, I hope you'll get a chance to make it more playable after the jam is over. Please let me know when it's done, I want to play that game in full glory.

Thanks for trying it. Funny thing, earlier on I had a full gimbal  camera setup with zoom in out, rotate and tilt. At first I was going to go with that, then changed to the more static camera to make the game a bit more challenging... should have stuck with my first instincts. :) Literally I just need to uncomment a few lines of code and the full blown camera rig is back in action

This was quite challenging, especially trying to determine the proper amount of time for each move.

Thanks for trying it out. The thing I found interesting when I was coding was that 9 moves of 1 second each do not cover the same distance as 1 move of 9 seconds. It's part of the wheel spin up to speed and then getting traction and finally moving the rover.  You lose part of the first second while physics kicks in to make it go.

Nice work and solid and i like introduction also, is good to put the player in a situation and that was a good way to do it, I actually did kinda the same. Thanks, rating done!

I would appreciate feedback on mine if you want, cheers!

Thanks for the feedback. I enjoyed your puzzle game too. Clever use of the vcr buttons

I love the idea and it is interesting thinking about command structures in a backwards fashion. Better camera controls would be desirable tho.
It also skipped the introduction text halfway because I clicked accidentally, having to sit through the entire text again to get some missing information is really tedious.

Thanks for your feedback. I have to agree the text is a bit tedious... thus the "skip" feature. Perhaps a better implementation would have been first click/key to just display all, and then continue on with the second. Of course with some more time.... :)
