Cookie go zoom!
What a great sense of speed and action. it feels very well polished. I also like how the biscuit behaves when it is just about to stop. Biscuit physics?
Very fun game. The controls are nice and its like cutting up in cookie traffic lol. I didnt get any audio on the webgl version I believe its a bug. Fun either way and a great entry for a fellow solo jammer.
Impressive game! I really enjoyed how the controls feel
It's great to play with the Wipeout soundtrack :) It really captures the feeling of speed.
Charming game, looks magnificent! I also really loved the main character's design with those buff arms :). Good luck!
So sad there's no audio, it would really add something to the game, especially this type of game.
The gameplay is nice, maybe making the risk/reward easier to understand would help but there's something, it would work well on mobile as others said.
Cool visuals and gameplay, but low risk feeling. Although there needs to be a limitation on the impact boost mechanic since I was able to do it multiple times to the point I not only reached the millions instantly, but dashing off the map. Great game overall
Great work Milqz69!!!!! Keep up the hustle
xD
This really feels like a mobile game done right, and I love it. The speed-based momentum really reminds me of the 3D Sonic games and indie 3D platformers that do the same thing, and the fact that you also have to balance the biscuit while speeding through your average sugar bowl twirlyland is really the sprinkles on the cookie. Also, I think I got the highest score in the game, because I encountered a glitch in your game where I clipped into the wall, and my biscuit just kept going, never tipping over, while the score keeps racking up. Here's a screenshot for when I stopped playing:
I hope you can fix this glitch in the future. Anyways, aside from that, awesome game right here! 4.5/5 stars! You deserve more views, Milqz69. 😁🙌
Wow thank you for taking the time to play the game, seeing someone honestly set a highscore makes my day. I will for sure fix the bug thank you for the feedback!
You're very much welcome. Also, I think you could take the time (If you want) to play my game, Owlet and the Biscuit Tower, and see how it is. Owlet and the Biscuit Tower is a 2D platformer game that's designed to be VERY challenging but fair (Nintendo Hard), as you take control of a character named Owlet, who must venture up a tower made out of biscuits (The Biscuit Tower) to retrieve The Legendary Biscuit, so that Owlet can eat it. However, The Biscuit Tower is filled to the absolute brim with deadly spikes. Luckily, Owlet can safely traverse through them by passing through them without jumping, but if Owlet jumps on the spikes, he instantly dies, and the player restarts at the bottom of the tower where they last started, thus creating a gameplay loop about dying -> retrying -> dying -> rinse and repeat. Oh, and there's no checkpoints. So, have you got what it takes to risk it for the biscuit?
Also, I think I could work on Owlet and the Biscuit Tower by adding in more features, but I think I'll sometime do that in the future.
But anyway, you can try out my game if you want, and you can give your feedback, and my apologies if you think the game is too hard. Thanks a lot for any feedback you give!❤️
No worries you dont look like your seeking attention, this is a gamejam afterall and I love to play and test these new games. It was very fun but hard good job on it!
cool concept and well executed!
as a point of feedback, I'd suggest trying to find a way to make the cookie bounce around less. It feels like it's difficult to get speed to smoothly jump between ramps since it bounces on itself so much.
other then that the game is pretty neat! :>
This is so fun
This is the most polished game I've played in the jam so far, a little audio would've made it even better. My only concern is how well it fits the theme.
What a rush! I love the parkour-like experience, and it feels so satisfying to crash through things. However, you slow down after impact, so it's still best to avoid it. The vertical health bar wasn't intuitive for me at first; it took me a few deaths to finally understand how it works lol.
Thank you for playing the game, I get how the healthbar could be confuzing. I will definatly look into it!
I really liked the graphics and gameplay! I also suggest adding sounds to the game to add more immersion. Other than that, your game is very good, congratulations!
Good job! It would be nice to have some music, but I had fun the first few rounds I played.
Great Work. The feel of the game is very good. A little audio on top and it would rock even more.
Otherwise nicely done.
Small info: The game can not be installed via the itch.io app atm. I think your game files should not be in nested in another folder. Just zip the files directly and it should work.
Thank you for the tip!
You did a great job at creating a feeling of speed and risk, you could still add some sounds now. Awesome game !
<3
I REALLY liked the fast paced feel of the game. However gameplay did not have too much variety but for a couple of rounds it was really fun to play!
