How does the game fit the theme?
This game is centered around a "press your luck" style of risk. The player has one weapon with a lengthy cooldown. Deciding when to fire is key to both survival and scoring big. As you wait for the right moment to act, both the danger and the rewards grow exponentially.

This was a lot of fun, the default speed felt a bit too slow, but overall I enjoyed this game!

This was lowkey addicting! I liked the concept of your power up getting more powerful if you waited and it was nice to get a huge clearing!

This is a really great entry, very unique and good use of the theme, with some genuinely addicting gameplay. My point of feedback would be that the game feels a bit too slow, and that having some kind of meaningful permanent (as in permanent per run) upgrades would be super dope. However, this is really cool either way and I really enjoyed it!

Thank you! I’m glad you liked it. I agree with the slowness. I’m going to work on the pacing of the game.

I had some ideas for upgrades/abilities but decided to shelve them due to time and just went with the blast-radius, speed, and armor stat boosts instead. I’ll be thinking about the best way to add upgrades.

Very cool game! The risk mechanic is implemented very well and can be really rewarding. Power-ups keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. My only criticism here would be that the game feels a bit slow. Other than that, I really like it! Well done!

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you liked it. I agree with the slowness. The enemies do get faster over time, but the rate isn’t very high and their starting speed is also quite slow. I’ll be tinkering with the pacing after the jam.

Really like this so far. Still having fun with it.  Probably wish the characters moved a little faster (or does it speed up as a difficulty spike?) but still super fun and the characters are so adobobo haha. The mechanic and risk is perfect.

Thank you! The enemies do speed up over time to increase the difficulty. It is a little hard to notice, especially if you are picking up speed-boosts yourself. Likely something I will address after the jam.
