The art of the game is really cute and the theme of it is funny too.I think the humans should move faster since with their current max speed you can just run around and eat the cookies without trying to hide at all.And a circle around us that gets bigger the more we make noise to see from how far away we can be detected would be a good addition i think.

How does the game fit the theme?
The theme is “Risk it for the biscuit” and that’s exactly what the game is about! You play as Kobi the dog, sneaking around the house to eat biscuits from the jar. Each time you finish a jar, you have a choice: risk it by going for another heist, or bank what you’ve earned by going to bed. Push your luck too far and the humans will catch you... but the bigger the risk, the more biscuits you can grab!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Sound Effects: Freesound community, Shiden Beats Music, Universfield (Pixabay)
Music: HeatleyBros
All game code, art, animation, and design were made from scratch during the jam.

Thanks so much, glad you liked the art and theme! Haha yeah the humans definitely need to step up their game... right now Kobi can outsmart them way too easily. I love your idea about the noise circle, that would be such a fun way to make the stealth feel clearer and more tense. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!
You'd think they'd learn to put the biscuits in the cupboard.
This is really good! The art style in particular is very well done.
Art style is adorable, Kobi is the man. I found the core mechanic pretty engaging; it was fun to bait the enemies movement and then scamper around them to safety, and the addition of the rogue lite elements was a really nice touch. It was super cool to unlock new perks as I played, and feels like a really nice bet of polish in a jam game. I thought the music you chose worked really well with the overall vibe of everything and I found myself bobbing my head quite a bit. A couple minor pieces of constructive criticism: I wish instead of using "e" key as the interact button, it was something I could press with my right hand (say idk "L"), that way it would be possible to continue moving while eating biscuits, allowing for more comlex gameplay to emerge, especially at some of the later levels. Another minor nitpick is that in the perk menu in between levels it would be nice to be able to press something like "1", "2", or "3" in order to select the upgrade you wanted to use rather than having to swap between keyboard and mouse (minor QOL thing). That being said this game is oozing with charm, and has a core gameplay mechanic that is fun enough to make for a really enjoyable experience! Oh and having a leaderboard system is awesome too. Nice entry!!
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback and the kind words. I’m really glad you enjoyed the art style, vibe, and core mechanic. It means a lot to hear you found it fun and charming.
I actually thought I had the 1/2/3 keyboard keys set up for perk selection, but I must have forgotten to hook it up properly, so I appreciate you pointing that out. The note about moving the interact button to something like “L” is really helpful too. I definitely want to give players more flexibility in how they play, especially in the later levels.
I’m really happy you enjoyed the rogue-lite elements, perks, and leaderboard. Thanks again for playing and for always taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It’s been great trading feedback with you across jams.
Super fun! I felt so mischievous running up and just scarfing down biscuits. Reminds me of the time my dog made an impressive vertical leap to steal the deli meat I was going to put on my sandwich straight out of my hand. I didn't even know she could jump that high to be honest...
Haha I love that! Dogs never stop surprising us 😅 Kobi (our 12-year-old pup) actually inspired this game after pulling off a sneaky real-life heist of his own. I even wrote up the story in my dev log if you’d like to see the inspiration behind it . Thanks so much for playing! I'm looking forward to trying your game too!
Oh I love that story! I love that he argued with himself for a full five minutes before committing to his life of crime! My dog used to sneak off with scraps of food that fell to the ground during cooking. She'd eat what she liked, and leave things like uncooked broccoli florets on the corner of the living room carpet for us to clean up after lunch! She's much older now (16 this year!!) so she's retired from her heists to be fed pieces of chicken and ham as treats by her humans. She thankfully hasn't figured out that the ham and chicken have her medicine stuffed inside!
I really liked the way you incorporated the theme of this jam, the idea of having a dog sneak in and steal cookies is hilarious, makes me wonder if my dog takes inspiration from this game... one thing I would revise is how the humans catch the dog, sometimes stealing the cookies felt a little too easy cuz you could just outrun the humans and loop them around the couch to avoid getting caught, so it kind of broke the aspect of sneaking to get the cookies. Overall an incredible game, very well polished and well-designed, congrats!
Haha I love the thought of your dog taking notes from this game 😅 Thank you so much for the kind words! You’re totally right about being able to outrun the humans... I leaned a bit toward making it forgiving so my younger niece and nephew could play, but that does make it easier to cheese the sneaking part. Definitely something I’d like to polish or even address with difficulty options after the jam. Really appreciate the feedback! I'm looking forward to trying your game too.
A really fun, polished game, and a great fit for the theme. I found myself genuinely considering whether I had another run in me each time, certainly got me risking it for the (dog) biscuits!
This is really fantastic! It's a simple premise, but executed really well. The controls feel a little floaty, but after eating 30 biscuits, I probably would be too :P
Great game, love the artstyle. Ver cute boio. The hitboxes for the humans feel very generous, you don't get caught even when it looks like you should.
Thanks so much! The generous ‘hitboxes’ are actually a grace timer I added. You don’t get caught instantly, it gives you a short moment before the hooman stomps. I did that on purpose so my younger niece and nephew could enjoy the game without it feeling too punishing. You’re right though, that’s a great note for polishing. I'm a hobbist game dev and starting to see why most games have difficulty modes. It’s tough to balance one size fits all and something I must consider from the start for my next jam! I appreciate your thoughts 🙏
This was a really fun experience. Although I found the toy and sock a bit lackluster, so I usually went with the extra biscuit upgrade
This was extremely fun and also challenging. I had a blast! And I love the theme of this game. Overall, 8/10 foxes 🦊
It's so cute! I was going risky each time for the x2 biscuits and only did 6 or so heists. But got a whole lotta dough.
There were a few sticky collisions that nearly got me on the coffee table, and pupper and hoomans are a bit sluggish, but very enjoyable overall. I unlocked a few of the permanent perks, which was a good change of pace from the single heist only perks.
Haha, going for the x2 biscuits is the real high-risk, high-reward strat 🍪💪. Glad you got a whole lotta dough out of it! Thanks for pointing out the coffee table collisions and the pacing, those are great notes for polishing. I’m really happy you got to unlock some of the permanent perks, too, that was one of my favourite bits to sneak in (though not with much time left) . Thanks for playing and sharing your experience!
Super cute! I think I got up to my 14th heist, before I decided to be a good boi and go to bed. I liked the feeling of risking it all for one more heist near the end. Really upped the tension. Cute art, very easy to understand, and fits the theme well. Congrats on getting all this done in a week!
Loved the art style of this game. Id wait for the people to be gone then immediately run over and scarf down all the biscuits. Nice job with the game loved it!
amazing little game! was lots of fun doing heists as the 'bestest boy'. a very cute and thought out game, very well done, congrats! :)
So I had a pleasant surprise today... I went to Twitch and looked up Brackey's to see if I could find anyone streaming playing the jam games, and I saw a thumbnail with my game. I clicked it and you streamed my game! I don't speak French, so I tried to use a translator to see what you were saying, but it was really fun to watch you play it. Thanks so much for streaming it!
