Thank you so much! I'm glad you had fun!

Very well done I can't lie, the graphics are great, the sound effects and music are well chosen, the game is well polished, and the gameplay loop is simple for people to understand and get into quickly! The only thing I felt like was a miss is having the resources drop from the enemies instead of having them spawn in randomly; but I still appreciate the alternative route you chose. I also wished I had a music slider option to adjust the sounds and stuff, since it was a little too loud at first. Overall, this was a really good game, congrats!

I loved the art and polish that you made for the game a lot, when it came to that, I think you nailed it, but the game had a pretty steep learning curve. There was a few hints from the book and the description about how to play but it was much too complicated to get a handle on what my goal in the game was, and how I was supposed to achieve it. Another thing is that when I did figure out that I was supposed to corrupt other crops, I tried to hold space (I didn't know if that's how I was supposed to do it) and it wouldn't work. I eventually figured out I was just supposed to press the button, but even then the duration for the spell was too long so I would get chased away easily and lose all my progress. I still found the art absolutely phenominal though, good luck with the jam!

Woah what an actualy amazing use of the theme, genuienely. This game is nothing short of amazing dude, I found some of the puzzles with the boxes kind of challenging, but overall it was still pretty good. The whole concept really reminded of "No, I'm Not A Human" (sun/light hurts meta), not sure if that's what you were inspired by, but regardless, congrats!

Honestly I'm super glad I played this, the theme implementation was actually incredible. I also adored the music and the art-style. Overall, one of my favourite submissions in the jam for sure; congrats!

This was a short, sweet experience, and I actually really enjoyed the game. It felt extremely well polished, and the soundtrack and art are actually incredible. Super well done man, this is a fantastic game; congrats!

thank you so much! I really appreciate your feedback, good luck with the jam!

that's a really interesting idea actually, thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it, I'll make sure to include a next level button if I ever make another game like this

Ohh I see, thank you so much for your feedback! I'll make sure to keep it in mind for next time, good luck with the jam!

The story was actually really interesting tbh, and the art was GORGEOUS, absolutely fantastic work guys! Congrats!

I LOVED the art-style and music I can't lie. It also has a suprising amount of content for the game jam duration. I didn't get to try out every character, but it was still a really enjoyable experience, congrats!

Yeah bro you guys deserve it man, clearly a lot of work was put into this. Seriously, congrats to you both!

I found the graphics amazing honestly, I found the music a little too loud, and I was confused for a while looking what to do, but overall it was pretty fun! Congrats!

This game is genuinely fantastic, super cool use of the theme. I could not stop playing this game for the longest time I swear, congrats dude, this was an awesome experience

My mycelium kingdom:

Yo I really liked the music guys, and the tower defence thing was fun to figure out. Although, I would have liked to see a tutorial or something where I could learn what the towers did, for me they mostly did the same thing but at different fire-rates. Overall, pretty solid, great work!

I found the concept pretty interesting actually, it reminds me of snake but with more freedom. I also found the head-budding attack pretty creative. Congrats!

I found it pretty fun actually, I loved the art and animations! I thought that the tutorial was too much reading though, it made it kind of hard to get into. Overall, though, good job!

Dude I really loved that walking animation lmao, it was so whimsical. I thought the later recepies are a little too difficult though, cuz I had to gather like so many ingredients and make sure they didn't expire. Overall really good though, congrats!

Yo thanks I appreciate it! I was planning on adding something indicating it at the top but I eventually forgot to add it lol

Thanks for your feedback! I'll keep it in mind for next time

I found the idea very creative tbh, the fact that it also has a story that supports it is really nice! Most of my feedback will come from the difficulty though.

The image in the attachment bellow was the first  challenge that really confused me, I felt like I had to Mario jump my way up while switching masks but the timing would always be off; eventually I did it but I stopped playing in a later level cuz it had a similar puzzle that was wayy to difficult.

Congrats on your first GWJ though, overall it was really interesting!

Super fun game! I loved the art-style and music most tbh, both of them really reminded me of deadcells (and the prisoner thing too lol). Here's some feedback for ya:
1. The jump height felt a little too high, like if I'm trying to jump to platforms I can't even see I would consider that a little too high honestly.
2. Another thing about the jump, is that pressing the space bar really quickly to dodge an incoming enemy felt really difficult cuz the default height was so low, so try to have a default height that the player will go to that is higher than enemies, and if the player wants to jump higher, allow them to keep holding the space bar to get a little bit more jump (this is pretty minor but I felt like it was important to mention).
3. Lastly, there might be a bug with enemy spawns where after a few attempts enemies just stop spawning completely when you press a new run. After I restarted the whole game I was able to continue though (and I beat it, awesome ending btw lmao).
Overall really good man, congrats on your first GWJ!

I really enjoyed the artstyle for the game, I especially liked the background in the opening scene with the guy staring at your mouse position lol. I was honestly a bit confused at first, there was a lot on the screen and I had to read the tutorial text you placed while having to fight off other enemies; eventually I figured out the game loop though. Here's some other feedback:
1. You ignore all enemies by just going straight up. Since there is no enemy that can catch up to the player (especially in higher player speeds), it was possible for me to follow one direction and not take any damage. What I'd recommend is either placing boudaries or punishing the player somehow from going too far from the center.
2. Another thing to do with enemies and their speed, when you play for a while, enemies will get in a big group that is easy to loop; essentially, I just circled around the mob until I could kill them all.
3. Lastly, I kinda wished I could manually shoot the projectiles; I feel as if that change would make the player feel a little bit more in control of the player and overall improve game feel.
Overall, really good game, especially for your first GWJ, congrats!

This game was honestly nothing short of phenomenal. The theme was portrayed really well in this entry, the graphics were amazing, and the music was absolutely divine. I was able to play through the whole thing and I really appreciated the end cutscene. The only issue I had was that the character would get a little stuck on door frames sometimes and that would get annoying sometimes. This might have been an issue since I was using the web version, but even then it wasn't anything major tbh. Very good game, deserves a 5/5 stars on pretty much every catergory ngl.

This was a really nice game tbh, I really liked the art-style of the game and how you played a little animation at the start displaying the lore. Here's a bit of feedback though:

1. You might wanna improve the sound effect for the card selection. It sounds a little too sharp (I know that lowering the sfx volume kind of fixes  this but I felt like I would mention it anyway in case you wanted to take a look at it).

2. The cursor logic for selecting the cards felt a little inconsistant sometimes. Sometimes when I would select something and it either wouldn't activate or it would glitch out a bit.

3. Making the projectiles for those shooty villains slower, either that or making it so you can hide behind objects to avoid taking damage.

Overall very solid game though, I'm surprised it doesn't have as many rating, it honestly deserves more. Congrats!

I thought the pixel art and sound design was amazing honestly, and the gameplay felt pretty good too. The only thing that annoyed me is the enemies being summoned from the broken items. It felt like they were impeeding my progress for no apparent reason, and that the game would have been way more enjoyable without them. Congrats though!

This game is truly phenomenal, I absolutely adored the pixel art and music, they both worked SO well together to make a trully peaceful and charming experience. The idea itself was also very good and creative. The gameplay also felt really nice! Here's a bit of feedback:

1. The mouse button felt a little confusing at first, since I didn't know where I would actually click every time I clicked the mouse, if that makes sense. At first, I thought it would be in the center, so I was clicking on a tree I wanted to expand to and it wouldn't work, after some trial and error I figured out that the click was positioned at the tip of the mouse, and that made the experience much better.

2. Consider implementing a drag mode for the endless mode. Sometimes I just felt like dragging the leaves all across the map and spread leaves to my heart's content, but I couldn't really create that effect all the way without a way to drag the autumn vibes to all the trees (maybe I should have mushroom spammed more to be honest).

3. Lastly, the zoom felt a little delayed. Whenever I would zoom in, it would take a while for it to actually react to my input, so it felt a little slow compared to the other feedback I was receiving from the other buttons and actions.

Overall this was a really great experience, congrats on greating a fantastic game!

The title really attracted me to the game, I really like how you got inspired by fat bear week lmao. The game itself was also really good, I think that the theme for expansion was very well done in this entry to be honest, congrats!

Pretty well made game, the graphics were very unique, the music is very calming and relaxing, and the gameplay felt pretty relaxing too. Here's some things I had trouble with though:

1. When I entered the shop to sell my items, it wasn't really clear where I was supposed to click to exit out of the shop, so that left me a little confused for a while (but then I figured it out dw).

2. It felt a little redundant having to click for each individual seed I wanted to place; instead, you should add a drag feature so that players can place seeds faster and smoother.

Overall though, I'm very glad I played this game, it was well made! Here's how far I extended my farm (yes, I see the tile I missed, lol):

Hey man, thanks for taking the time to play my game! There was a feature that I wasn't able to get in the mini-tutorial on the itch page that allowed you to pick up/destroy blocks with right click; this system allows you to sell any extra grass you could find to earn some extra cash, and prevent you from soft-locking yourself. Thanks for the kind words, good luck with the jam!

This was honestly an amazing jam submission, I loved the art-style, the music, the polish, everything felt really great about this game. Given a bit more content and I could definitely see something like this being sold on steam. The only thing I wanna mention is that the game felt a little too easy to be honest, it's cool if that's what you were going for, but I didn't really have to put that much brain power into it and I beat the whole game. Still one of the best games I've seen in this jam so far, congrats to you both!

PS: here's my build if you guys wanna see it

This was a really creative entry imo. I loved how expanding without purpose was punished in this game, it always made me think of an end goal. I loved the pixel art and music too; they worked incredibly well together to bring in the atmosphere you were looking for. One of the best games in the jam for sure, congrats dude!

I liked the tutorial and how you instructed well the player on what to do, it made me feel a little less confused for the following parts of the game. One thing I'd go over again is how cluttered the cards felt sometimes when you had a lot of them. After I got used to the filter though, it was a little easier to navigate. Great game! Congrats!

I liked the music and the art behind the game. It also felt very nice that the elements of the game were slowly getting introduced! One major thing that didn't sit quite right with me was the fact that I wasn't able to shoot upwards. Instead, the camera would switch sides in an awkward way and it would break my emersion a little. Still pretty good though congrats!

I really liked the artstyle and the music, it made it feel very soothing and calming to play. The only complaint I have is that there was no other way to gain any seeds, like from what I could tell the only way to actually gain seeds was by killing spiders, but that was also difficult since I couldn't heal any of my plants. Still pretty good game, congrats!

I loved the way you implemented the theme, it's a very creative way of going about it. The music was catchy and absolutely superb aswell. However, the only critique I have is that the game was too hard. Like at first I felt as if I was a baby bird being thrown off a tree without properly knowing how to fly yet, so if you're willing to expand the game, maybe add a difficulty system like most other rhythm games have. This jam entry was pretty much perfect imo (other than the difficulty, overall though, I had a really great time! Good luck with the jam!

I really liked the overall concept of the game, at first it was a little bit slow but then it picked up the pace and I got more used to the actual game. And I can't lie, the game had me hooked for a really long time lol. Although I would add a screen to see what the abilities of the buildings did. I didn't really find one in game and it made me have to guess as to what the abilities acutally did. Some were obvious like the laundry machine one where it would lower your suspicion, and the crime rate one also from the pizzaria, but I had no clue what "The house always wins" does. Overall, very good jam submission, congrats guys!

Thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed it

Thanks so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
