How does the game fit the theme?
In this game, your health is both your lifeline and your currency. Every card you play, every upgrade you buy, and every risk you take brings you closer to death. The lower your HP, the stronger you become.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The music is from HolisnaCC0. The chromatic aberration shader is from an old project. And a small part of the card hand behaviour is from an old code test.

Did you even sleep while making this?! 😄
The art is absolutely stunning seriously, it’s next-level and gives the whole game such a strong identity.
Gameplay took me a couple of runs to fully grasp, but once I did, it all clicked beautifully. Super well-designed and thoughtfully executed.
Also, huge thanks for the tooltips!
And this was made solo?! That’s just incredible.
Massive respect and a huge well done!
yeah.. no sleep hahahah You are right, without a proper in-game tutorial the first couple of turns are a little hard, but I didn’t left any spare time for that. Thank you so much for playing
5/5 no notes
(only one note, sometimes the cards would be hard to click because they overlapped weirdly)
thank you so much! I am trying to polish card hover and mouse interaction after the jam, it’s very tricky to make it 100% responsive
Brilliant mechanic! Very polished, especially the art. This should be into top 30 games. Great job!
It's a very enjoyable game, I liked that the cards have 2 states. Nicely done that health plays a key role in the gameplay and is inextricably linked with it Overall, a very well-made and interesting game
Took me a minute to figure out why I was taking so much damage, going rot built is very risky 😅 This is fantastic, especially for a game jam. Love the art you have for it!
Thank you! I had to snap a quick tutorial due to not having much time and should make card conditions more obvious. I will take notes on this for the future 🙏
I totally feel you there! It's hard to prioritize a proper tutorial and tooltips when you have a whole-ass game to make XD
Damn I always wanted to make a card game and this was just so perfectly done, new mechanics. Loved.
Catch idea, rich art, hp managment is interesting, but I feel so frustrated because of clippy...
Didn't had much time to balance the last encounter and after playing a lot, the recovery condition feels indeed a bit frustrating, yes
I had a lot of fun with this one, such an interesting idea! Definitely fits the theme!
Great work! Super great visuals, the gameplay’s interesting in theory, though it’s such a struggle to even beat clippy once much less loop multiple times. With some tweaks this could be really really great though, nice work!
Yeah! the intend was to put a "Boss" fight where Clippy is, but I run out of time and put clippy visuals there. Also the loop was not balanced at all. If you beat clippy even once that's amazing, because I never though someone could put the time to do that LOL. Thanks for playing!
Yeah I’m a bit of a sicko for deckbuilders and like to make sure I’m actually giving useful feedback 😅
Great game! Did not manage to beat it but I had fun. Visuals are great and in general very impressive to make a deckbuilder type of game in a week!
Such a fun game. I loved fighting enemies while trying to balance my damage and health. I think this really perfectly fit the theme along with strong audio and art design. It gave off a really unique strategy game feel where you were walking a thin tightrope. such a great submission
wow! Thank you so much 🙏
Amazing game. I love the artstyle. So polished for a game made in one week by one person. Congrats!
really amazing game, unfortunately I couldnt get very but I think I'll come back to it. Really like gore/body horror themes and different mechanics compliment each other very well.
This game was crazy ! I need a fully finished version on my steam account RIGHT NOW
Thank you so much! Strongly thinking on expanding the game due to all the nice comments ❤️
Hell yeah !!!!
This game is sick! There was a lot to learn, but it slowly started clicking into place for me with each run. Fantastic interpretation of the theme, probably the best I've seen so far. Everything, down to individual cards becoming more powerful with less health, reinforced the theme. The art is phenomenal, so impressed you managed to do this yourself in just 1 week. I loved the deep combat system, having a split deck, and needing to think about the value of a bone card in advance, which led to some really fun decision-making moment to moment. The difficulty curve is pretty steep, and I think a card's type could be clearer, but there are always things to improve in a game jam project. I would love to see this game expanded and further polished in the future.
Thank you so much for the review and for you to play more than one run! I am currently changing how enemies appear to the player letting me polish the difficulty on that aspect. What do you mean with card's type? the condition icons on top of the cards or the description that I had to put on the bottom of the screen because I run out of space inside the cards LOL
lol, I meant the conditions on the top. I assume they relate to rot, meat, etc, but it wasn't instantly clear to me.
Cool
hey, that's a good art, nice game !!
Thats a very sick art style! Probably the best i've seen in this jam. Somehow feels very 90s. I'm not the biggest fan of deck building games, but this hit the right spot. System with 2 sided cards and rot system feels very unique. Also game is very polished for a solo dev during a jam, awesome job. I think you should keep developing this.
Thank you so much! 🙏
This game looks amazing! The gameplay is also pretty fluid and challenging. I kept retrying to see if there was more. Good job!
thanks so much! There are currently 3 enemies and 3 cards that could appear in the shop that are not in the main deck
Probably one of the best art styles in the whole competition
and I think health is your only resource is a brilliant idea
