How does the game fit the theme?
You are driving the wrong way down a one way street - inspired by the Limmy comedy sketch.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Vehicle physics is my modified version of the amazing arcade physics by Ash Devs. The tilt and tyre marks he gets full credit!
All models are from Unity Asset store (free, or already owned).
The radio station recordings and other character voices are all by the BAFTA award winning comedian, Limmy (permission given!)
Code is all mine.

Super fun controls! The visuals, the feel of the car, being able to stop on a dime, it all just feels really great. The only small thing I'd say (and maybe this is a skill issue on my part) is that it's a bit too punishing. I feel like a slight tap costing $5 feels a bit too much, and if I drive a little carefully I run out of money. But that might just be a me problem haha, really nice job on this!
Love this take on the theme! Reminds me of Snakeybus, if you've played that. I wish you had a little more money at the start to get going, but still a lot of fun
The feel of that car. Mmmm. That's good. You nailed the car movement. Specifically turning. The goofy over exaggerated turn really works. Just all solid.
really fun once you get a hang of the driving haha, also love the audio and general vibe of the game!!
Wow, the driving feel is excellent and really fun! The camera changes and challenges along the way are also well thought out.
The control is surprisingly easy to grok and the drift is nicely done. Very fun arcadey gameplay, love it!
Ayyyy, great minds think alike ;)
Took me a bit to get used to the controls and make it past the first section (before the first drop off). But once I got a hang of it I had a great time playing and trying to improve my score.
It's absolutely crazy to me that you got to have Limmy in this game!
Well done, the physics felt really nice!
Cool game ! I was scared at first that there might not be an ending. But overall, it made me laugh, i absolutely love it ! <3
Was I supposed to play this 1000 times in a row and make little skill progress? Because I did. I need to stop playing it now. Love Limmy, love Crazy Taxi, love this game. (EDIT: I now read in the comments that there's an end! Will have to come back to it later then! Kept getting round the corner where two cars are heading towards you and that was it for me.)
hahah that’s exactly what I wanted to hear! Yes there is an end! But the idea of having to play it over and over to master the corners / obstacles was the plan!
Please get to the end and submit a score, it’s only a few more streets after the double car street! Thanks for the comment, and I’ll give your game a go asap!
There’s a YouTube video on the main page which might give you some tips!
Thanks, I have to give Ash Devs credit for most of the physics. I've added it to my submission now so I don't take full credit. But I've been playing with their arcade physics for a few months and managed to get it tweaked just right, then by coincidence I'm making a taxi themed game, so I already had a good basis to work off!
Will be a little bug patch coming in the next hour, will hopefully make the driving / pick up / drop off feel a bit more intuitive. The hit boxes were a little bit off!
Thanks for your comment, it was meant to be challenging, the whole course only takes 1min30s if you manage to avoid obstacles - but I've had a lot of feedback about it being difficult. I think it's the curse of being a solo jammer and getting too good at my own game!
