How does your game fit the theme?
The player fights zombies in a literal stormy night. Between stormy nights there is a calm section where players can select perks to improve their character before entering the next storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and created the visual assets, but heavily leveraged third party assets for sound effects and music, and fonts.

Very Cool!
Cool little game. The gun shooting seems to be a useless, I survived without shooting any bullet. I think that it could be better if you can do more damage with a shoot
really nice simple controls, satisfying kills, one little audio sfx thing was that the "put away gun" sound effect sounded like a reload, so sometimes id think i was auto reloading when it was just the gun being put away. really nice overall, thanks for entering!
This game is fun to play! Nice shooting mechanic and sound effects! Overall, well done!
I don't usually like games like this, but I liked this one. I liked that with a lot of dexterity you can not shoot at all, but just run away from the zombies XD But the shooting is nice too. Good game.
I really liked the atmosphere of the game.
This game is phenomenal! The attention to detail and level of creativity are absolutely top-tier.
I really liked the audio! and combat is good too from reload to shoot to enemy feedback is on point! ambient sound track is my favorite!
Hey!
The shooting has this satisfying weight to it, so does the roundhouse kicks! The rate of fire doesn't seem to be affected by the rate of clicks, which I appreciate. Usually shooter games in their prototype phase have that problem.
The systems overall interact well with each other. Normally I like to play games defense-focused, but the glass cannon perk caught my eye and I should say I really like the way it combos with some stun upgrades.
Tiiiiiiny little problem, when the player dies, the death animation seems to repeat after every zombie attack. Maybe it only happened to me? I don't know.
Quite a polished game overall. Kudos!
Haha, I knew someone would come and try to use a turbo mouse button to get a crazy rate of fire. Thanks for noting the death animation thing, it's a left over side effect where I wasn't handling player death properly which meant that the zombies kept eating you after you die, I liked that so much I wanted to keep it in but guess I didn't patch all the holes. Thanks for playing!
Great game! The roundhouse kick mechanic is super satisfying, especially when clearing out crowds. The different upgrade paths add a lot of replay value, and I enjoyed experimenting with different builds. I went for x2 damage and breezed through, but I also tried a stun-heavy run for a more tactical approach. Loved the pixel font and the overall vibe—it definitely gives off some Hotline Miami energy. Fantastic work!
Thank you!
Actually very-very cool.
Completed the game 3 times: with x8 damage, with ~100% stun and speed/hp only
1) x2 damage is OP when you have a gun
2) Roundhouse kick is a really fun mechanic to take out crowds, some invul during it would come in handy.
3) Speed/HP only was the pacifist run. +50HP sounds cool but really you never drop below 50%.
I would say stun duration is the least useful one there
Morning visual effect + music gives off hotline miami vibes tbh. Pixel italic font looks PERFECT
Great job!
Thanks for playing! I'm pretty sure you should actually hve i-frames during the roundhouse kick, but maybe it goes away too quickly and it needs a bit of a grace period. Or I have a bug to look into. Either way, appreciate the feedback!
Really solid entry. The upgrade system's a particular standout, designed well to the concept and lets the player to find their own approach to surviving (I picked up a bunch of double damage upgrades on my first run-through). There definitely needs to be a few tweaks to the game balance and mechanics but otherwise, nicely done
Thanks! Yeah -- not all perks are created equal. I actually had an economy feature in mind to try to help balance the perks but cut it for time to reduce scope. Glad you enjoyed the game!
Loved the roundhouse kick mechanic! Maybe more types of enemies would make the game even better.
Thanks! I really wanted it to be a satisfying mechanic, happy to hear you enjoyed it. I was hoping to add some more enemy types but they ended up being cut for time, but it's definitely something I'd like to add if I choose to continue developing.
Hee-ho. Nice game (maybe too easy). Good vibe
Thanks! I want to make sure being able to progress through the game isn't too difficult, but in hindsight I think I could have added some ways to allow players to customize the difficulty to their own skill level. Appreciate the kind words!
Took a while to get the hang of but was fun. Tried to kick the zombie using E but couldn't get it work.
Thanks for the feedback! When trying to kick, were you near a stunned enemy, with stars circling their heads? You can only kick when close to a stunned enemy. I'm not all that surprised about the reload noise, the way it's coded is kind of janky but I think should work most of the time. Thanks for taking the time to play!
well-done, it is quite easy (though tense) and simple, i wish it had more levels and proggression, but overall good job for a beginer, i had fun!
Thanks for playing! I've been trying to work on tuning difficulty, tried to swing the pendulum a bit more to the easy side for this submission. I'd like to add some more content but I wanted to focus a bit more on polish for this attempt. I'll take you wanting more levels as an encouraging sign!
Really neat little game, not very original but very well executed, and I like the theme and the thunder is very atmospheric
Thanks for playing!
This game was tough! I’m not good at action though, so factor that in while processing this feedback.
Well done overall :)
Thanks for the detailed feedback! For the aiming, the idea was to replicate an aim-down-the-sights mechanic in third person shooters, there's also speed differences since you move faster when you're not aiming. Thanks for playing!
Unfortunately the game does not start at all for me, it crashes right after I hit the play button D: FYI, I get a WebGL context lost error.
Oh no! What OS/browser are you using? If you're on Windows, there's a Windows build as well that can be downloaded that should be smoother anyway.
