I was at stage 63 before I died.
The gameplay is unique but
- I have no idea what shifting does. some sort of explanation or tutorial would be great.
- The game is very small it might be harder to read for some people.
- Some kind of change in palette color or the background after a certain stage so it's not too repetitive.
Thanks for playing, these are definitely good suggestions to implement after the gamejam.
This game has potential, I love the graphics and sound, however the shield is OP. I can just spam click the shield and then just wham all the enemies. Besides some glitched campfires without the fire saying Continue for both buttons. But besides it being to easy (thanks to the shield), this game is pretty good!
Thanks for playing, i haven't really tried playing through shield stacking.
Interesting game! Had not seen something like that yet in this jam! Definetly unique
Thanks for playing!
The game design is very creatinve and unique. The ambience is also very immersive!
nice game, the pixel art is very effective.
Clever idea, had fun but the shield is too overpowered!
This game is pure brilliance! The creativity, attention to detail, and immersive design make it a joy to play. It’s obvious how much effort went into this. Congratulations on crafting such a great game!
Nice art and sfx! congrats
Simple and cool. Add character upgrades and difficulty scaling, and it will be a great little roguelike. Also, fix the issue with armor disappearing after a fight, and consider giving enemies an enrage mechanic after about 10 turns for better balance.
Simple but cute. Fun little game!
This is a really cool proof of concept. There's some real strategy with shifting the storm, but there's not much stopping the player from spamming shield and amp early and then it's just clicking whatever buttons the rest of the time. With a bit more time put in this could become something really good!
The concept is interesting, and the visuals are good. It was fun but could definitely use more mechanics.
I like the 1-bit art style and minimal aesthetic. The idea of manipulating the storm to either pass or be prolonged or strengthened is a cool idea, but I had a bit of a hard time figuring out how my decisions were reflected in the UI. Nice work!
Shift to the left, shift to the right, cha cha real smooth!
1. I had no idea how to predict shifting, i just hit buttons randomly lol
2. I was able to shield forever with only costing a turn but no real detriment so i just did that and plowed through the enemies
3. I could see there wa sa guide telling me what was coming up and I was able to decipher it mostly by the end except the storm shifting
4. storms gave me more damage and fires let me heal
5. I went for quite a bit and encountered some knights, with my maxxed out shield no one could touch me mwahhaha
Hee-ho. Nice game. Cure art
I think it was pretty fun! The graphics were pleasant and the system has a lot of potential. There were a couple bugs and it wasn't super super balanced, but even despite that I still liked it enough to play over 40 stages!
Great idea but it needs some more work to fit it all together, good job :)
Thank you
The idea is pretty unique. The art and sounds fit good together. But I didn't really understand why I should amplify the storm. Also, for me, the red and green colors were a bit confusing because at first I didn't really understand what they are supposed to indicate. (except maybe red- evil and green - nice). But really nice game overall. :)
The point is, you always take the first action in turn and you can cancel enemy attack if you just oneshot the enemy
Thank you for the feedback
