nice concept and good design :)
I love it. 8-bit version of Portal. So cool. So fun.
I did think the shooting through portals was a cool mechanic at first, but after a while I found it more frustrating because I would come out of a portal and then just insta-die. I got caught in a cycle of dying a few times. Not a deal breaker, but less fun the more I played.
Loved the general idea though. A well executed little game.
D
Really good and fun game, it was maybe a bit to hard find the right path to follow, i was constantly going back.
If you have time, check out my game.
That was wild, I think it bugged out on me at (what I hope was) the end but I had a great time. My only suggestion would be to give players the option to use the arrow keys for movement as it makes the controls a lot more comfortable for some of us.
Excellent game and level design! I really want to keep playing this game. A great combination of skill challenges and puzzles. And a fun minimalist style. I liked it very much!
Thank you!
Really cool, the story was nice but it froze when "Friend" wanted a refund, is there any more after this? The projectile launchers were annoying.
That's the end. I was going to add a "The End" text, but I forgot.
This was so much fun! Really like the design, the controls. It's got a metroidvanina touch to it. Love it!
Thanks!
Nice little game! The graphics are cute, the humor is on point, and the controls are quite nice, even if the player acceleration in the air took me by surprise ^^'. The fact that you had the time to add a little story with dialogs and a moving NPC is absolutely amazing, congratulations on that ^^.
The level design is... Weird ^^'. The mecanics in the levels are nice, but it's really difficult to understand where I'm supposed to go. Having multiple portals on screen at a time is very missleading and I got lost many times. Also, it took me waaaaay to much time to understand what the green portals did (I realized when I reach the end of the level while upside-down, and the little narrator guy was standing on the ceiling ^^').
Overall, it's a good game with a lot of polish! Congratulations ^^
Thanks! I understand the confusion with finding where to go and knowing what the green portals do. I should've used more icons to make things clearer.
Oh wow, I got through the whole thing without ever realising what the green ones do!
I liked the game. Simple graphics but they work out pretty good for you game.
I really liked the reversed sound of the portal if going back in :D
Unfortunately I got stuck at the end in the dialog with the kid. I probably locked the flow by accidentally jumping which resulted in E not working anymore to progress through the dialog.
Controls were good for me :D Well done
I got stuck there too :(
Thanks for playing! You got the ending; I just didn't make it clear in the game.
I'm really impressed with the portal representation of the door!
Personally, I'm not good with controls, so I find this very difficult...
But I've had a lot of fun with it!
Thanks! I think I might have made some parts too difficult, but I'm glad you had fun.
Fun puzzle game, I enjoyed it
Didn't expect to see dialogues, it was a nice touch :)
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic story setup to the game, and a pretty good level design! Thought it would be just another platformer with portals, but i loved the execution and incorporation of the mechanic! Polish the controller, and tune up the visuals, and this can be shippable.
Do check out our game!
Fun platformer with different interesting uses of the portal mechanic! Got a little confusing for me as the amount of portals grew and I was craving slightly tighter controls, but overall fun and I liked the story as well :)
Thanks for the feedback, I can see what you mean about tighter controls. Also, I probably should have added a visual connecting the portals so it would be less confusing.
