How does your game fit the theme?
You have to go through a door to beat a level, when you go through the door you go to a different environment. you can't see what is through the door until the player enters the door.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code but not visual and audio assets, they are credited in the game. To access the credits list, go to the main menu, then click on the credits button.

Very fun game, loved the gravity mechanics, the graphics are amazing. Haven't seen UE used for a game engine but I think it paid off. Unfortunately performance could be a bit better. other then that amazing

8/10 :)

The graphics and the textures are amazing! Also I like that you used unreal for game jam which is nice!

Can you see my game?

My 2060 was a jet but it run smooth after a half a minute. Guess things were loading. That lava level tho was quite the experience XD. Good game

The gravity mechanics introduced in this game are a blast to explore! I found the game ran smoothly on my setup, enhancing the overall fun. Excellent work on creating such an engaging experience !

this is a really cool concept! a lot of people have already mentioned performance issues, which i've had unfortunately but i enjoyed the puzzles even if it felt like my brain was a little too smooth for some of them

I like the concept with the gravity and it had good performance atleast for me it was fun very good job

This game is beautiful! I like it and would love to play it a bit more.

Sadly, I'm unable to enjoy it on Nvidia 1060, framerate is extremely low. It needs a better GPU. What are your target hardware requirements?

Also, motion blur is too distracting.

I think blurry UI icons can be fixed by changing texture filtering to the nearest neighbor:

I like the concept of the gravity shift. Like others had mentioned there were performance issues but the game still worked and was playable.

I like the puzzles! Though there were performance issues in the game, the game itself is fun!

The game is really good, except the performance suffers a bit.

This could be a really fun experience if the performance was better, but apart from that, this is a really good foundation!

I really enjoyed solving the puzzles and it fit the theme quite well! I was having some severe performance issues though, maybe unity or godot would help you to achieve your vision better :)

It's quite interesting, but it lags terribly

Firstly, as a fellow gamer and as someone who knows some things about making games, not much, I have to say there's potential but performance really struggles and makes some puzzles harder than they are. That's the main problem with Unreal in my opinion, making your games run good. Next time or if you want try to detect when player sees the game object and if they don't hide that object. This trick will especially really help on a 'bushy' level.

Levels weren't bad, I enjoyed solving them but I think you could add more detail to each level. Almost every level has some unused space which could be either blocked or used as a part of the puzzle. For example you could hide some hints or gameplay element behind some walls.

I really disliked how opening doors works. You wanted to show that player unlocked the door but I believe forcing player to not move AND switching to another camera will look better. If you want to stay with your idea, you could rotate the player character and leave it. It may be just me and my impatience but changing the angle where I see and not adjusting movement to it made me fail the level.

But I see here some creative ideas like playing with gravity. The way it launches player character in the space is funny and I have spent like good 5 min just flying around. Best 5 minutes of this week for sure.

To wrap things up. Cool premise, if you spent more time on small details and on performance your game surely would be one of the best games this jam. Next time making a game just before you do anything even create new project sit down, take a notebook and write down your ideas and what you want to do. Now you know that Unreal needs really beefy pc so design and make an options tab with quality presets. Ask your friends or even fellow game devs to test your game. Remember to plan and gather as much feedback as possible. Nontheless, good job on creating this game in time!

Interesting puzzle game.

Here's my feedback:

  • Performance issues. The game really struggles to barely reach 60 fps (and its not my PC)
  • You can still move while the "zoom at door open" thing is going on, which I kinda dislike. You could disable movement or make it so that the player's camera moves toward it, but not change the point of view.
  • Puzzles were fairly easy in my opinion.
  • There was this one room in the woods where you just go up some "gravity things", but there was also a ball which I don't know what it did. To me it looked that it did nothing.

Great work! The performance could be improved, but the puzzles are creative!

Great job on the entry. Had a lot of loading time whenever I would reset, and the physics would sometimes act a bit funky. Also, I'd probably turn down the audio effect on the torches. They were quite loud when I got next to them. But you did a great job, and always keep improving.

It looked really great with a very great idea, but it was very straining on my performance.

Awesome submission tho!

Hey man strong entry and a lot of work done for one person, I think the gameplay needed more focus than the visual assets in this case it was quite laggy for me cause of all the detail you put into the scenes and don't get me wrong they look great but led to some stuttering when playing and I also found the ball quite hard to control in the indoor and out door levels, it would often build up a lot of speed from a little knock and fly off the map aha. That being said the puzzles were fun when I got through them but very challenging the use of the gravity stuff was really cool though! Good submission :)
