I almost gave up on the 3D one then I was spamming different things, and then it clicked and I was like AHHHH I love it.

Also....I may of slightly inflated the Solved on the last level as you can click play again and do Dev command over and over.... SORRY  ;)

Interesting game, I wasnt 100% sure what everything was doing but I think I was getting there.

Thank you, Hoping to make it a little clearer after the jam.

I played the whole game and did the crafting upgrades. I liked that if I pushed and didn't keep track, I lose my inventory because, well its my fault. I thought the inventory stacking up at your den was great, it was like an auto save my stuff here. You could go out and collect then save, collect save then mass craft, or you could try to optimise your trips and craft up while you were out.

Transition sound was bugged for me.

Ending screen being Game over I was liek what? I won! A congrats or well done would be rewarding :)

Ive seen a few anomaly games and it always feels good to get to the end and be like Yes, my memory is still good!

Also tacocat, Tacocat is a good card game, just don't play it with watches or rings on....Drew blood too many times.

Cute Pink Platformer. I liked the Jello platform that you have to hit to work. Made it a little more skill than just a jump up here.
A few parts, when dropping down to a lower level, I couldn't see the monster and would land on it, which would make me lose HP. It felt punishing because I had no way to know it was there or a way to avoid it once dropping down.

Well done.

The Art style is surreal and fitting. Running into objects while flying caused a bit of issues with the ship.  A bit more direction on where we were meant to go might be needed. Felt like I was spiining around for a while to find the next place.

Well Done it was nice to play

Nice and calm to play, I didn't find any bugs, which is awesome. Well done.

Took a minute to figure out what was going on with the rooms. But well done.

I liked the visual change from Nightclub vibes to Hellscape. It was a lot of enemies to begin with, and I kept feeling like there was always something behind me. Nicely done, though.

We want to create an in-game tutorial and slowly introduce the plants and planets. This was a test to see if the idea was something to continue.  Thank you for the feedback.

Yeah we didnt do an ingame tutorial, so I wrote a how to play in the page text

(1 edit)

Sorry, it has an end, thats when you stop maintaining the planets.

Oh, that reminds me, I also lost the orb at the beginning because it was ther ethen disappeared, so deciding to follow it wasn't easy, I found the water, I found a map edge, ran along trees, then found a path. before finding the orb again. I think having it in sight a little longer would encourage me to take after it straight away, but I tend to break things, my first instinct is to do what the game doesn't want me to do, haha.

Yeah, I think at the moment they are 20seconds apart. We wanted the timer to get worse as you played cause in the end, you shouldn't "win". In previous games, we have had timers that give you scores, so we didn't focus on that mechanic, but it probably wouldn't be bad for this game.

I was at it for a good 30 minutes, though. Partner was laughing at me. Just cause Im bad doesn't mean it's the game. I know others would definitely beat it.

I liked the increase in new things in the puzzle. Some felt eaiser than others but it was still good to work out.

That makes sense. I liked what I played so far :)

Thank you for playing. Once we add a playable tutorial I think it will be easier to understand.

I like games where the opposite of what you expect is what happens. This was a fun game to play with a cool mechanic indeed. Well done.

Thank you for the feedback. Each planet will have stats and a set of seeds they will reject in the future, but at this stage, it was us learning how to make the growth times and events work. We ticked a lot off on what we wanted to learn in this game jam.  Hopefully we can improve the management aspect in the next update.

I was enjoying the game and set on finishing it, but I suck at jumping in any game; I just couldn't outjump the lava in time. Managed to get to the otherside of the bridge but died there over and over again.

Nice job though.

Yes, we want to be able to step through the stages and teach what the plants do rather than have everything unlocked at the start, but we compromised this for the sake of getting a workable game done for the jam.

However, there is a level of play to find out what plants do what that we also wanted to explore, because when a researcher first discovers something, they don't know what it will do, but then we want them to know (which we didn't get to implement)

I have uploaded a few stats on the plants in the screenshots and written a spoiler section on the page.

Thank you so much for the feedback.
I know it still has some work to get the management balanced, but at the moment it was testing the idea and if people liked it.

I cant wait to make unique assets for each plant. I went with just 3 and colour changed for the jam to keep it simple.

Always love a side-scrolling game; I'm yet to make one.

I liked the art with how the colour popped, but I also found it was hard to focus with the movement.

I got up to I think 28th on the leaderboard.

Thank you for playing :)

Interesting mechanic like to see what other levels you make from it.

I died in lvl  and level 3 door opened but didnt do anything? I then completed level 2 but door 3 still didnt do anything. Not sure whats happening there, but thats the joys of people being able to play test and find bugs. :)

Yeah, I had set up a menu in-game with the tutorial page there, but didn't manage to put together the tutorial graphic till after the deadline, so I hid the menu and exported without it. Im wanting to build a playable tutorial for it after the game jam dates.
