We wrote all the code ourselves and used low poly assets and some sound effects

The atmosphere works very well, and the gameplay was nice. Idk if I was the only one with this problem but the camera didnt move if my mouse movements were too small, like if I wanted to very slightly move the camera it just.. did nothing. Since I was playing in fullscreen it made me a little nauseous.
Definitely screamed a bit and almost woke up the whole house (ik I'm a scaredy cat ;-;). I don't know if this happens to other people but I encountered a bug where the cursor can't relock itself after pressing escape key and so I couldn't turn 180 degrees. I also got locked on the wardrobe like PhilPhil.

Abot the bug, sometimes WebGL makes it very difficult to control the cursor. The browser sometimes takes back control and this happens.
Nice atmosphere, the sound really sells it! I had a bug where I got deadlocked in the wardrobe (spamming the interact key seems to mess it up a lot).

You've really nailed the tense atmosphere needed for this kind of game, and I did jump a little when I got caught but the monster didn't seem to actually do anything to me so I ended up just letting him follow me around while I collected the key and opened the door :D
I replayed the game myself and encountered the same bug. Thanks for playing it and really nice to hear that we created a tense atmosphere. We really doubted ourselves if it was enough :)
A simple horror game where we just try to find a key to escape while hiding from a monster.

Solidly scary game, I felt so dumb that it took me 3 tries to find that damn key. The visuals were great, but despite having a few bugs with the monster, I liked the game. keep up the good work :)

It was great! A little hard to open and close the doors, specially in chase, but I think it adds some adrenaline haha

Thank you! We played with the colliders and stuff, this felt right and otherwise it became to easy. Its really difficult to get the right fit in such a game genre.

Amazing horror game, I was scared to walk when I heard the footsteps, found the key, and got out. graphics were good so was the audio, gameplay was fun which is not common in game jams

I really enjoyed this game. The clear standout for me was the sounddesign. It really gave you the chills.
I think the enemy couldve gotten a bit more love with its behaviour and pathfinding, but it still made me jump a bit when i encountered it at first. Good job :D
