How does your game fit the theme?
You progress deeper and deeper underground throughout the game, eventually into a planet's core. Also, past a short introduction sequence, screens only progress downward.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I created the code, music, and art from scratch. The font used in the menu and intro/ending is made by Pictocat, and used with his permission.

Man, what a great little game! The only feedback I have is that I just wanted to play more of it. You did an amazing job introducing new mechanics in a way that I knew immediately what was going on. The writing was funny and clever. The art was adorable and cohesive. All around one of the best games I've played this Jam.

i suck at the game the music took all my attention to jam ok

Loved the movement mechanic and art, levels were fun and introduced new mechanics really well

Very fun. Great movement mechanic. I also liked the education level design when introducing new surfaces, the double jump etc. Very well done.

Obviously, some sound effects would be good. And I assume you considered variable jump power. If you didn't just run out of time, I'd be interested to know why you chose not to have that feature.

Great game!

Developer

There is variable jump power, but you can only control it in a small radius around the player. This was mainly due to how difficult it was (and still is) to move toward the edge of the screen when you're already close to it. I think a better solution could have been to make power based on the proportional position of your mouse between your slime and the edge of the screen, instead of just how far it is from the slime, but I didn't think of that until after the deadline. Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! :)

That makes sense. Another alternative is to capture the coordinates when the mouse is clicked, then do the power calculation based on the the mouse location at the end of the drag relative to the click position. In that scenario, it doesn't matter where you click, just what direction and how far you pulled back the shot.

Really nice and good looking game. Well thought out story and level design. You could definitely work this concept out even more.
Compliments and well done!

Very charming. Honestly I didn't know what to expect when I opened it, but it was a fun game! Loved the mechanics, it was short & sweet. Cute story, not too much story to overwhelm, just enough to make it heartwarming! Great job! :)

Сool game, good idea. Personally, I liked the graphics the most of all - it's gorgeous here. But the music is bad, I personally didn't like it. On a 5-point scale of 4.5. Also not a big request, rate my game, at the time of writing the comment I have 2 ratings.

Super innovative movement mechanic, and it's really fun too. One of the best games in the jam. Really funny too.

This is probably the best game I've played so far in this game jam. The game is extremely fun, the puzzles are pretty cool, and it gets a little harder, but not impossible. The protagonist is very charismatic, in addition to exploring the theme well in his own universe, simply fantastic, good job.

The soundtrack is a banger!

I enjoyed the game quite a bit! I love the movement mechanics and all of the different surface types! I would definately love to be able to play more! I can't think of too much that you could have improved on, I suppose my only complaint is that It would be nice to have more levels!

i cant rate this game because of this error

Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers

Developer

SharedArrayBuffer support is currently experimental on Itch.io and Godot 4 games require it, so unfortunately I don't think I can fix the web version for people who are having issues with it, but downloads should work properly now (as long as you're using Chrome or download from the Google Drive link in the description, since this issue was also affecting downloads).

A simple gameplay! I love the art style and game design! The only thing bothering me is the gameplay tile mechanics. But overall, it's a fun game to play!

Such a simple but nice game. I usually write long reviews talking what I feel like could changing but I had a hard time coming up with anything ,maybe the sideways zones at the start could use an effector to pull you in as if you land too close it's really hard to jump forward and the game is lacking some sfx.But yeah that's it really nice entry.
