How does your game fit the theme?
Alice falling down the Rabbit Hole is a classic scene we wanted to recreate in a Rubber-hose style. In this case, the player just keeps diving deeper.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote the code in Unreal Engine 4 and made all our own artwork.

That was a really fun game! The movement was satisfying (especially the dash) and I felt like I was getting better the more I played (I made it to 98). I really liked the variety of enemies - even though there were only a few types, I found each of them uniquely challenging. I especially liked the angry clock guys. The art was simple but unique and endearing.

Initially I was going to comment on how I kept randomly dying, but after I unlocked the branch visibility upgrade I understood what was happening.

Also I just pushed you over the 20 rating mark! I'm sitting at 19 right now and I'd appreciate it if you checked out my game :)

I really like the visuals, the gameplay works really well and the upgrades helps a lot, but i think is a bit hard to get them after the second upgrade.

Nice work! I enjoyed playing this game and the visuals are fun!

Great job with this game.  It was super easy to learn obviously, but difficult enough to make me want to get the upgrades.  I was going to mention that the roots were too hard to see until I realized that was an upgrade, haha.  The first couple times I didn't even know what was hitting me, so that made a huge difference.

My only feedback would be to scale up the points with the difficulty maybe.  The game gets harder but the reward for surviving doesn't really feel worth it.  Maybe there could be other color candies worth more points the further you go down or something.

Good job man!)

I really liked that there were different enemy types where you have to use different tactics to avoid getting hit. And kudos for getting an upgrade system in. Great work!

Alice in The Depths?

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. The gameplay is actually alot of fun!
  2. Graphics are very nice, they all tie into one another
  3. I like the audio you chose for the game, it all works together.

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. Id recommend adding some more additional sounds, like pick up sounds, or enemy sound effects.

Overall 📓

This was a fun game, and I definitely enjoyed my time! Great job on this one!

Very cool artstyle! Reminds me of those late 90s - early 2000s quest games.

I had a lot of fun playing it and I like that the items are really useful

Really nice game. I was first upset with the roots but then I noticed power up that helps with the visibility. I'm a sucker for rogue-lite elements in games, so I really enjoyed getting power-ups. Solid entry.

This is a very sweet and fun little game. The controls works very well. The music and the visuals are pretty good. The game has great feeling of speed without being too fast. Overall a good jam game.
