How does your game fit the theme?
The game dives through the details/context of the unknown programmer/creator and the program itself ingame.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I made all of the existing assets in the game. I programmed the scripts (with a bit of help from the internet).

Cool game. I felt that the awkward movement didn't mesh well with the level design, but I liked the code things and the bit of story was fun. Nice job :)
amazing game, enjoyed it :)
Okay, I like the idea, but the execution could be better.
First thing im gonna say, is that I didn't progress after the first code puzzle, because I got stuck in a corner because of a glitch, and didn't feel like going back there (screenshot below)
The code thingys felt like an after thought, it was a platformer with random code thingys thrown in there, so maybe have them somehow incorporated better to the gameplay. (I don't really know how, but somehow, very good feedback, I know)
And the fact that you couldn't move in the air, was so bad, and because of the slidiness of the player, I always ended up sliding off the platforms, so maybe you should just be able to move in air.
Also the quick jump thingy, it felt like a bug rather than a feature, because like it makes no sense, if you tap to the other direction when jumping, magically you jump instantly, and that "feature", needs some coyote time, so if you press the opposite direction little bit early or late, it would still work, so it would at least feel fair, because now it works just 50% of the time, if you press it like a frame late.
Also the graphics, you should have just made art for the UIs, because just having some default Unity sliders and textboxes there feels just weird.
And the background is really bland, you should add some random shapes moving there, so it would look less bland. (the 0 and 1 do a little bit, but at least in the starting area)
And the death particles are really bad, they move so slowly and then just disappear instantly, you should make them move a lot faster and farther, and fade out, or shrink, or both, so it would be more satisfying. Also the respawning should be a lot faster, the camera should stay where you died for like 0.4 seconds instead of like 4.
Also there should be a, checkpoint taken sound effect (also particles), sign opened sound (just use that page flip sound like in the menu), and a cool increasing in volume very epic sound, in when you choose yes or no in the do you wanna help thingy.
Thank you for this awesome long feedback and dang, you found the soft-lock bug (that forces you to restart the whole game)! I will follow any suggestions that you gave here and try to improve the game with better (hopefully less buggy) mechanics and details!
The quick-jump mechanic though, isn't really a feature and will be changed in a newer version soon.
But if it isn't an actual mechanic, why teach in a tutorial?
I thought of it as a mechanic at first, but turns out, it's too hard to execute (but rather made a simpler/easy way), and I didn't have time to change it because the game was already published (and people already played the game). This might be too late to change, but the tutorial mistake has been fixed.
Very convenient and simple control. Great job)
Thank you for playing the game! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Loved it, it was really a good game, nicely polished and all.. The art style was nice and so were the mechanics and story. GG !
Good idea with codes and puzzles. Something like a matrix. As I can understand, in perspective, there might be different puzzles that are not only about answering questions but to solve some logical expressions and so on. Little bit hard control, need a bunch of time to practice with that to succeed.
I could not see platforms I should jump on and of. I can see controls are good, but I could not progress far... Seems to other people can play it, so I guess is just here on my device. It seems to be fun platformer, and I just love them, so I am sorry I could not enjoy it fully. Anyway, good game!
I may have made the platforms blend a little bit into the background, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Awesome game! The movement was way different from other platformers, but the controls and level design was made accordingly. If you have'nt, try experimenting with coyote time. Otherwise, the player character, the background art and the UI are so cool. The story and the math made it much cooler!!
Thank you for the suggestion! I will try to experiment with coyote time and buffer as this might help the game's mechanics and balance the difficulty!
Very well Made game! I really liked how clean the controls were and mini story telling was cool. Well done man!
For the storytelling, I planned for the game to be more appealing to play than having no objective(s) to do at all. Glad you liked the whole game! Thank you for playing!
Cool game, great mechanics and good enough visuals and audio. I reaaaaally did not like the player movement though, and that ruined the game for me. The zero air control and the acceleration did not feel nice at all, especially with me playing a lot of platformers where the opposite is true. Not saying its necessarily bad, but just not for me and I think making it a bit more beginner friendly atleast in terms of map or something could really help, but I could not make it far through your game. Really loved the idea though, being a c# dev myself.
Now that I've rated yours, could you rate my game please? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236541
The movements were kind of too slippery as I went on with it since I forgot to fix the mechanics :/ For the zero air control though, it's intentional for the game to be not "too easy" to play. Glad you loved the idea for the game!
Done rating your game!
I enjoyed the depths of the code!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
Overall 📓
Had alot of fun playing your game, I feel this game could definitely be sold! Great job on this game, you should be very proud of yourself!
The recommendation will surely be implemented in the next version of this game! Thank you for the awesome feedback!
I'm pretty bad at mental math, so the programmer difficulty was easier for me lol. Very fun concept, and it fits the theme well! The visual style is also unique.
Glad you liked the whole game! I went on adding the mathematics difficulty for others to try the game without any programming experience, though seems like you enjoyed the programmer difficulty!
I didn't get much into math/coding mechanics, but platforming feels great.
Glad you enjoyed the platformer game!
This game is so good. I really love the jump mechanics!
I'm glad you loved the jump mechanics!
I think it's a really cool concept ! I played the C# version as well and had a lot of fun, although I did have a lot of difficulty doing the parkour stuff.
Cool concept, of having to fix the errors from the inside but as others pointed out the acceleration and deceleration is pretty slippery.
Yeah, I noticed it during development. I left it as that (as I was planning to change the slipperiness) and eventually got used to it. Glad you liked the game concept!
I've never seen a jump mechanic quite like this one before, very interesting.
I quite just made the mechanic like that so the gameplay wouldn't be too easy :)
Oops, just disappeared from the matrix.
I like that you made a game extra for programmers (played the C# version). First quest should be a bool ;-)
The jumping is a bit weird at the beginning, but actually you're one is physically correct, so other platformers should orient at yours^^
All in all a real cool game with a nice story, enjoyed playing!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I made the jump mechanic that hard since the overused one could make the game too easy to play.
Cool idea. Couldn't get past the accelerate jumping part haha
Maybe I made the tutorial a bit too hard xD
Poor dude got debugged
Yeah, it's so sad :(
