It's an engaging deep-sea exploration game, reminiscent of Pokémon

Nice spin on the Pokemon idea. Alsp great swimming animation - looks a bit rough, but definitely has a personality :D

I love pokemon games, so seeing one made in a game jam is really cool, but I didn't know how to progress further and you had unlimited jumps apparently. Overall good submission!

Developer

Thank you, I wasn't aware of the unlimited jumps and ran out of time to add dialogue to explain progression. If your interested there are 5 battles underwater and defeating all 5 will open up the way forward, hope this helps in case your interested in giving it another go.

I gave it another go and I understood it more! Thank you!

Loved the designs of the Hydromon, especially Umbraray! However, the fight got really easy once I learned that you can still use moves at 0 PP. Still fun though!

decently fun game, I did find the balancing was a bit off, with the first 5 battles I one shot all of the enemies, then for the final battle, both of my guys got one shot.

Developer

Ah apologies for that, with it being RNG based and having a lack of time the few tests I had the chance to do didn't have that outcome. Hope it didn't ruin the game too much.
