Super fun. Swapping enemy bodies to heal, or dodge an attack is a really good take on the theme.
Fun game with a cool style! The boss aesthetic was memorable, and their attacks were telegraphed well. I thought the possession mechanic was neat, but it felt a little bit too OP to spam. Also there was a pretty major glitch where I could swap back into my original body which becomes invincible.
Originally, we had planned for players to only be able to possess low HP enemies only, and we even had that feature working in the beginning. However, as development progressed, it somehow digressed. Additionally, we had planned for players to return to their original body upon death, which is why the character remains in the scene we think. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed our game, and thank you for sharing your feedback!
I really liked mechanic of body exchange and the art style. Very nice job!
Dang I really liked the game. It left me wanting more. It took a bit to learn about the exchange mechanic. One pretty major bug (I think it was a bug) is sometimes after swapping out of the character I was possessing, the entity became unkillable but would continue to keep firing at the player. Didn't seem intentional so I figured I would report on it
Nice short game, the body swap feels very good with the slowmotion, it took me a while to understand it but was very fun, good job!
love the game and use of the theme. however, the small enemies are overwhelming Imo and boss direction indicator would help.
Hey this is really great! Movement took a bit of getting used to, but once it clicked it worked really well! Animations and art style are cool!
Thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed the game, even if it took a bit of time to get used to the movement. Once you got the hang of it, it's awesome that it felt smooth for you! We put a lot of effort into the animations and art style, so it's incredibly rewarding to hear that you found them cool. Thanks for playing and taking the time to share your experience with us!
Yes, Shugo was indeed influenced by Sekiro. As for the game freezing issue, we're actively investigating it. Regrettably, time constraints prevented us from including a tutorial. We quickly implemented the hold tab feature to provide players with some guidance. We appreciate you giving our game a try
Awesome take on the theme! I was getting my ass kicked trying to play as the mc but once I figured how the game mechanic actually works it really clicked on me and then managed to kill the Drunkard after posessing a bunch of his buddies! xD Had a blast with this. Nice job.
Also a little bug I've found. If you use the gamepad stick to move it basically moves at twice the regular speed. I guess it was intended to play with mouse and keyboard so that's what I did. (:
I really like the design of your bosses here! their attacks are very well telegraphed and animated, and their visual effects are super striking. I might suggest increasing the contrast between the floor and wall colors to make the game a bit more readable, but great work nonetheless!
Managed to defeat the boss after a few attempts. The exchange your body implementation felt good and responsive, especially when lots of pistol people were in the arena. Art style is great, and I would have loved to see more. Good work!
