Game's take on the theme
Originaly it was supposed that the player exchanges bodies and controls other bosses after winning over them. It still a boss rush

The art of the game is interesting with the water reflections and all but it didn't appeal to me much. Although it gives you that Cyberpunk atmosphere.  This isn't exactly a boss rush game, this is a 2D platformer but not so important. Boss fight feels a little dull. It has two attacks and waaay too much health. It becomes impossible to avoid it's canonball attack bcs it fires too many of them.  I haven't seen that the theme of the jam used anywhere.

Overall, not a bad game but it needs some more work. I appreciate your hardwork behind the game and wish you good luck!

This was a cool idea! The world feels awesome and the style is really good! I agree with some of the other comments that the boss needs a little work but great job overall!

The controls are strange, the A button doesn't work properly, the jump on the arrow keys is smaller than the space button, the player's health is very low and you die very quickly, the boss's moveset is very simple and repetitive, the style of art is inconsistent, in fact, I liked the theme and music (I love cyberpunk games).

Very nice game, but it feels more like a vertical slice of a metroidvania.

The windows version was giving me some trouble, since the download is just a .exe, not even compressed, but consider it tested and working on Ubuntu 20.04.

The key rebinding was a nice touch to add, appreciate it.

The VFX and the background art are great, but the character art and animations seems like they aren't on the same level. It's not to say they're bad, but if something looks very good, it make normal or even good quality art look worse in comparison.

The controls were fine the dash and double jump was spot on,, though  the melee attack stopping you dead in your tracks, took some getting used to.

I encountered the first boss, gave him a few honest tries, but after he fell down once, and I thought I won, he got back up and started repeating the same attack patterns, only faster and with more bullets. Died and gave that another try with the same result, and didn't try it a third time. To be honest, it has a lot of health and 2 attacks, and one of those attacks takes a while to finish and you can't attack at that time.

I don't know if the jam theme was implemented or not.

Overall it was a fun game, and I highly encourage you to enter the Metroidvania Month Jam if you like making these kind of games. You'd certainly have a more focused audience there.

I've played your game and it has good sound. Controls I'm not too used to pressing Q and D to move. I died on the spikes a lot lol. I'm not much into parkour. The boss is very difficult. Maybe try making it easier in the first boss and then gradually increase the difficulty level. Good job!

Controls are responsive and the movement is nice for a platformer, I enjoyed it.

The art fits the game well, and the sound is really well done. I enjoyed the platformer style content, but the boss did feel like it had too much health. Still, a really complete game, it even allows you to switch controls, good job!

This game definitely has potential, but it could benefit from some polishing. The art style is reminiscent of early 2000s cartoons, which adds a nostalgic touch. However, I didn't notice any music during my playthrough, and the theme seemed a bit unclear. While the bosses were cool, they felt overly challenging for a game jam entry. Additionally, there were some control issues, such as the left movement key being assigned to "Q" instead of the more standard "A." The animations were decent but could use some refinement. Overall, it was a fun experience that could be greatly improved with some additional polish.

there is some settings, so you can change the controls for yourself ... and i got only one boss :/, And what, you got no music ????? There's 8 musics in this game wuut ?

It must have been very quiet initially because I hardly heard any sound. My apologies for the typo; I meant to say 'boss'. I'll relaunch it to see if I can hear the music. Ah, there it is! I just had to turn up the volume. In my opinion, it would be better if the left movement were bound to the 'A' key, but that's just my preference.

It's because i'm french, and i handled the movements with they key code, not the physical, but you can rebind !!

You should play with hearphones, I've put so much of my souls into having responsivness, visual effects and givig sfxs to everything, also, they are a lot of music,

There seems to be some gamepad control bugs as the double jump doesn't work everytime. A bit inconsistent. Those jump gaps are VERY tight. I like the overall vibe of the game. I feel a bit of solitude when playing it. I got to the boss. I tried about 10 times but, even though I understood the boss gameplay loop. No health bar, repeated the loop over and over and it just never died? Maybe too much health for a first boss? But I had fun. I can see this has a lot of potential, keep up the good work (:

This game is very difficult I couldn't even beat the first boss.  The default settings are whack and the music is off but it is a game.
