- Interesting concept with the different elements, it definitely spices up gameplay. The camera and colliders could also be improved with more feedback on when you would/should get hit as you got punished quite harshly without much clarity.
- I really enjoyed this game, nice little concept had me playing and discovering new things. I do think the experience could have been improved drastically by subtle things such as tutorial, hints, control scheme adjustments and feedback clarity. Having the player get some sort of agency when he should do certain things or feedback hes doing the right thing, for example when you smash the wall with the rock it doesnt always happen and wasnt clear it worked initially. Is there any counter to spikes other than jumping over them?? I am a completionist style gamer so this kind of game really sat well with me and I played this game longer than i originally anticipated.
Tell us about your game!
Our game is about five elementals, each of them has their own abilities, they united and became companions to each other to save the world.

Hey Борода Арканума (@ArcanumsBeard), Mardus !
How are you? It's Ilias again. I have some new questions for you.
What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?
What were your favorite video games?
Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?
If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.
Thank you in advance,
Ilias.

Hey Борода Арканума (@ArcanumsBeard), Mardus !
How are you?
My name is Ilias.
I tested your game "Elemental Odyssey" ,
I have some feedbacks, thoughts, and questions.
The loading at the begining was progressing correctly then it takes to much time ! is it an issues with Unity games its something i notice in several game entries for the jam ?
Adiing Checkpoints were allready mentioned
Did you include any optimisation techniques or did you rather chose to include only the in-engine ones.
what engine and tools did you use to create your game , your graphics ?
was it hard to develop your game ? did you experienced any challenges ?
what inspired you for your game idea , and the gameplay ? The Game's name and stoty ?
Thanks!
-Ilias .
Hi Ilias, thanks for your feedback and recommendations! This game was created on the Unity engine, 3d graphics were created in Blender. The game has been optimized, this can be seen from the weight of the game at 23 megabytes, the game does not have complex control algorithms or any shaders that can affect performance, we also used Batching, that is, we combined objects with the same materials to reduce the number of draw calls, and to increase performance, as few high-resolution textures and complex multi-poly meshes were used as possible, and as for the code, we optimized the code: during scripting, I tried to avoid excessive use of loops and complex operations in loops, and also optimized memory requests and resource accesses. You can find out more about how the game was created in this video (you can turn on subtitles in English):
Hey again !!
It would mean a great deal to me if you could rate my game. If you haven't already, feedbacks from friends and fellow gamers is valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time.
I like the League Of Legends type controls layout. Very Unique Entry. Definitely Innovative imo. Music fits well. This could definitely be worked to become a more 'full' game because of its interesting core mechanic.
Well done on the game!
Nice game! that must have been a lot of work to make all these different physics and to have so much variety in levels for the different elementals, it’s really interesting to play! Oh and the music and sfx make it so relaxing to play, that’s a really nice touch.
Great idea and implementation! Can't brake the wall on the right side, so moved to the left. I would move swap controls to digits like 1, 2, 3 etc. Because I often accidentally press W while playing when I don't want to change elemental xD
Interesting concept! The rolling sound effects are so good!
I feel the camera needs a little work, but you got a very interesting concept. It was cool how every elemental had different physics properties. Jumping as the empty elemental and changing into the air elemental to stay in the air as long as possible was fun! Interactions like this could be expanded to make more complex levels.
I couldn't get the rock elemental action to work. I tried rolling into the walls while holding space, but that didn't do anything. I could, however, use the water elemental to phase through the same walls, but I don't think that is intended.
Nice job! Keep it up!
I really liked the art and the idea and everything but eventually I couldn't continue because I kept getting stuck under ledges and having to start over from the beginning really bummed me out.
Thanks for taking your time to play this game! The game was planned as a competition, a rivalry, so saving in the middle of a level didn’t really make sense, especially since the levels turned out to be quite short. Of course, it would be possible to beat this somehow, for example, introduce penalties for losses, but we did not count on it.
Pretty solid.
I really liked how the pick up are used as clue to know what elemental you should use for each obstacle, the game teaches its mechanics flawlessly. It was a bit of a pain to start over from scratch after each death however, some more checkpoints would be nice.
Marble run with a twist - nice idea!
In-game environment, sounds and music was chill, very nice. Use of the different elementals was crude but made sense most of the time.
Overall, really nice entry!
