Fun experience that reminded me of the Stanley Parable. The length was perfect for a game jam submission, and I'm impressed with how many VO lines you included. The button falling off the wall was surprising but oddly satisfying in its own way (I'm so conditioned to buttons being perfect in games that it's really weird seeing something behind it :P)
Great visuals, great voice acting, and I really like the humor. That's a fantastic game! Well done!
Oh, maaan!!!
Incredibly funny, polished, and nice game
Can't find anything else to say haha
This game reminds me the astro's playroom. Funny and beautiful. Thinking that you did all the features and assets in 9 days... Wow, that's a challenge. Great job for sure. (FYI, I already rated your game 9 days ago without leaving any comments, here they are ;) )
Great incorporation of the theme. The pacing for the introduction of new mechanics is great too, and your game on the whole is perfectly jam-sized. Very speed-runnable :)
short and sweet !
it was really nice and surprisingly well polished. kind of gives the vibe of “demo games” preinstalled on console, i mean this in the best way possible. clearly understandable and satisfying with smooth controls.
considering the jam time constraints i dont take the fact that its short into account, but i’d actually like to see a cool first level with less instructions since this feels so much like an introduction/tutorial. well done ! :D
Thanks for the comments and feedback :) Yeah, as you concluded it was short for the Jam specifically - there's certainly more I could add to the game idea, but obviously for the Jam I had 9-days, so I went for polish and completeness than length to get the game idea across... Saying that, if you leave the game's going without doing the interactions straight away, there is about 20 minutes of voice over in there - some of the best jokes are when you leave it! lol
Very nice! This took the "There is no game" concept to a whole other level.
Well done!
Beautiful
I enjoyed the game! The mouse sensitivity is just a little bit to sensitive, but otherwise the game is perfect!
I loved the humor on this one, it was great. The voices, sounds, environments and constant jam-themed gags were lovely! The only thing really I could pick on is the default mouse sensitivity. Overall great main menu for a game 10/10
Really enjoyed diving into Unexpected Panic! The extra dialogue and those hints at different endings caught me off guard—in a good way. The voice acting and the world you've built are top-notch. Great job!
Full of personality. Loved when you went full circle and re-introduced the aberration disease on the security drone haha. Also, after defeating the drone, I intentionally didn't press the button for a while and was pleasantly surprised how much extra dialogue was lined up-- it almost seemed like there could have been an alternate ending if the button wasn't pressed. Very unique experience
Also, here are some suggestions:
This is a solid charming little experience! I especially like the presentation of the game.
This game is fantastic. I will definitely be coming back for more. Fantastic idea for the game and the presentation is just amazing. Brilliant voice acting, great lighting and good writing really help add to the feel of the game.
This game should be up there with the best from the Jam, Well done :)
I'll be posting on my YouTube soon: https://www.youtube.com/@CBWB93
Hey, thanks for the review and posting it up on your YouTube :)
Yeah, I literally put my life on hold for 9-days, 24/7 to make this, not sure why I put myself through that - but ultimately I learnt a lot from doing it and hopefully made a few people laugh along the way!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to review.
hahahah, this was good. Very funny, did you do all the voice acting yourself? Well done!
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I did all the voices (there's about 20mins of VO in that - lol). I used pitch shifts and put on dodgy accents to try and make them different, thankfully it kinda worked out ok :)
That's amazing. I first tried playing the web version and it made my sceen go all black and kicked me out of discord and ended my stream, so had to download the zip. Loved it to peices!
Oh no - sorry about the stream - that's aberration for you! It's usually fine in the browser, but perhaps it was too much for your machine to handle... I simply built it for WebGL so I'm blaming Unity for that ;)
Glad the windows version worked for you and glad you loved it :)
I found the steam - enjoyed watching you play it 👍 Glad it made you laugh!
P.S: yes, the QR code on the blue screen is scannable.
Wow, easily one of the best games I've played. It has funny jokes and amazing voice acting. Good job!
Damn :D
That's one of the best games I've seen so far! Short but effective.
The voicing is something, I've real struggled a lot with. But you got this perfect!
15/15
Great game visual, this is some professional level production. The only minor issue is hitting detection of the security room fight is not working well, can not deal demage unless I press the box in robot's face then click the button, even after doing that it's not certain do deal demage. I specially love the reflection of enviroment for the materials.
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it.
I’ll look into the collision, try bringing the boxes closer to you using the mouse wheel and then throwing them - that tends to work best.
The damage will only register if they hit the bot above a certain amount of velocity.
This is funny and well made. I enjoyed the game all the way through. The only bug I found was that the ending didn't show properly on my Ultrawide. But other than that, very good job.
