Nice idea. I could see this being more of a rhythm game since the turns are so precise. Thanks for the input!

Movement feels great! This reminds me of an old DOS game I played as a kid called Descent. Nice work!

Nice work!

Moving the camera rather than the player is really unique (and fun!). There are so many cool directions you could take this game after the jam.

Nice job!

I like the retro feel. The shooting would have made this really satisfying. Hopefully you'll figure it out and make an update!

Well done!

Thanks! If you cross the finish line it actually speeds up the game. So if you go up to start, then down, you can cross over the line to make it even more impossible.

Thanks for the feedback! There’s a lot more I’d improve but the 3 hour time limit is tough. I agree that the game is challenging. Picking a difficulty to start could be a nice option.

Was fun after I figured out who went where. Nice work!

Nice - would love to play more levels after the jam!

Hmm, I've not seen that glitch. Thanks for playing!

Very fun gameplay and sounds!

Very nice artwork and unique gameplay!

FYI, this is crashing in Chrome on a Macbook Air. I'll have to try again later on my PC so I can play and rate.

Nice work! 3 hours goes by so fast. I thought it was pretty challenging and dependent on getting good barrel spawns. I'm wondering if the game still would have worked without the scrolling camera. Then you could really take your time and line up the angles - but maybe that was to add challenge intentionally.

Very satisfying movement and shooting! As others have stated, I would recommend either fading out the yellow in the background or adding an outline around the clowns so that they are easier to see as time goes on.

I like the hand-drawn assets - they are pretty unique compared to the other entries. Maybe showing the amount of cheese collected during as you play would be helpful to give a sense of progression and let you know if you're close to beating your best score.

Nice work! Since the puddles are an important mechanic, maybe you can make them do something when you land in them to give the player positive feedback and let them know they're playing correctly. (Like a splashing animation, or a simple color change effect, etc)

Nice work!

Interesting concept - you could make some interesting games with a few variations, like making the portals horizontal instead of vertical, or giving the player a choice of more portals to go through. The sounds are really nice.

Congrats on finishing your game! Maybe you could try adding a little more space between the obstacles so that the timing doesn't have to be so precise. Fixing the camera in one spot or adding a smoothing of some kind would help make the movement more intuitive.

Nice! I didn’t have much time to play test. I’m wondering if I should have increased your acceleration or speed as well to let you move faster. At some point the screen scrolls faster than your max speed so you’re left with just going up and down.

Thanks! Looking forward to playing all of the other games.

Thanks! The music is actually from OpenGameArt.org so I can’t take credit for it. I can add the link to game page.

To make the hole appear 3D, I change the layer order when the player is half way through so that it changes from behind the player to on top. In Godot it’s called the z-index.

Yeah, the controls are difficult because I designed for game pad. I’m working on an update to make them more intuitive. It’s also got a long way to go so there’s not much you can do there yet.

Thanks for the feedback! I was worried that people would get stuck on that so next time I’ll think of a way to make it more obvious. Maybe have one that’s already broken or place an enemy in front so you’d accidentally hit it a few times to teach you.

Nice work. I think the blue dungeon section was really nice. You could potentially make a full game in that environment without needing the over world. Maybe incorporate different colors and textures, and of course add more combat and loot.

Nice to see a 3D entry! Pixel art is an obvious choice for this jam, so I appreciate the entries that went in a different direction like yours.

Congrats on finishing a game! If you have more time next time, you should think about adding a few sounds - they can make a huge impact for how little time they take to implement.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I’m definitely going to be entering more jams in the future. This was a very rewarding experience. I also played your game and really enjoyed the atmosphere and artwork.

Nice sounds design. Having a few extra lives could help with the difficulty. Maybe you could also think about increasing the fire rate so there's not as much delay between the time you fire and the bullet leaving the ship.

Nice. I would recommend adding some delay after you die by adding a final screen with your score, or show a second or 2 of the starting screen so it's not so jarring each time you restart. Also a potential bug - I'm in Chrome on a Mac and the score is stuck on 40 in Arcade and 64 on Easy. The score doesn't change as I progress through the level.

Nice work! Also, the music is really catchy.

Thanks! I decided to limit the ammo at the last minute to make it more difficult. Early on I was going to have a mechanic where you were always running out of oxygen and have to keep replenishing to really make you feel like you're against the clock. I may re-visit that idea in another jam.

Nice animations!

Simple, but fun. The duck sounds in the background were a nice touch.

I enjoyed this a lot. Very intuitive and fun gameplay. The flamethrower sounds and mechanic is satisfying.

Solid

The flame thrower is very satisfying.
