I just saw this but yes! Thank you, I loved dominion growing up and was definitely an inspiration. As for the attacking, you keep an enemy selected until they die or you select a new one but I do agree it was very clunky. In future games Ill try for a more robust input system :)

Hey thank you for the response! The current v2 prototype fixes all the infinite card combos with 1 easy fix--used cards dont go into discard until the end of turn :)

bought it on steam, had a fun few hours with it before i "beat" it. Wished there was more to it so im glad that they're adding more cards!

Crazy how this game is getting plays two years after I made it! You're definitely right that stiletto was broken, but making a game in a weekend will do that to ya! In the future I'd make food not count towards deck size and perhaps instead of limiting card counts just make them harder to get.

The bad guy can travel up and down the stairs, and begins on a random floor! The AI is very dumb so you may have just gotten lucky :)
Thanks for playing!

oh no! was the character able to move around as normal? Thanks for playing :)

Thanks for pointing this out, I recently found this out this also closes some browsers. Thanks for trying to play, and I now I understand more about good control layout

I couldn't beat the second level. I may have missed something but I couldn't jump high enough to get to the mailbox. The game is pretty, and the collecting coins/ordering problems was fun. Also had some spots  I could walk of the edge and others where I couldn't.

I unique story, and each level seemed almost like a minigame. Definitely cool, but it was too dark, and the controls felt hard on the second level.

This is such an interesting idea! The movement felt too floaty to really control well but it was a very original game :) not sure if I got far enough to see all the mechanics but this concept definitely has room for some fun

Oh no! if you had wall jump you were only a room away from the saws! Heads up, in the case of these hardlocks I added "R" to kill you. Thanks for playing :)

Really cool idea and gorgeous art!

Definitely a fun little puzzle game, great graphics and assets :)

Was worried at first this would be a bad BoI copy but it had some really fun and original ideas. I liked the traps being used to fight enemies, but I wish the combat was more exciting. The enemies were either too slow that I could just stand there and swing or so fast that they just bombard me.

Thank you! Yeah some parts were really hard, I wanted to make it a hard core platformer/speed run game but I think I overdid it for a jam entry. Thanks for playing!

You can scroll in your deck, there just wasnt a bar. Thanks for reaching out about the other issues though!

Yeah, you're right that the card selection was a bit more work than it should've been. Thanks for the play!

Thank you for the play! It was definitely a blast to come up with! I'm surprised you played it for so long, I'm honored!

Keeping energy is a really interesting idea! Thanks for playing and the kind words!

Oh, oop

Yeah youre right. that would improve the deck view!

First time that chicken pulled a gun on me i lost it

Fun! I like the idea of possessing guards to get through gates and the music was great. Had a few bugs (e.g. collisions shaking, guards dead body mirroring my movements in ghost form, possessed guard making explosion sound affects and not letting me move) but was still fun enough for me to get to the WINNER WINNER ETC screen :)

Fun idea, amazing what some people come up with for ideas of how to use the art! The death felt unexciting with the screen just zooming away but the space shooter was fun!

Woah. That explanation actually helped me immediately figure out what the bug was! The cards have a bool that says if they're in your hand or not, but the movement is all Tween based so theyd move around but not do anything. You are a scholar my friend

I learned a lot about UI on this project, but clearly still have a lot to figure out :)

Thanks for the play!

Thanks for the play! I agree that the content could have been expanded upon

(1 edit)

Oops, there was an end screen at some point :|!

Looks like you're the first person who won and let me know, but I like the idea that you become the boss.

Also with the cards getting turned over, that was a bug I fixed earlier too, but reared its ugly head back up it seems. Oh the woes of game development! Thank you so much for the play!

EDIT: I love the yugioh joke XD

Thank you so much for the play and great feed back! A tutorial was the first thing to get cut for time unfortunately :(
Also, thanks for the feed back on balancing issues--makes me think there are a few other cards that would be similarly broken. I really had a great time on this game jam and think that this project may actually evolve into something bigger :)

Good entry :) I could place on oil if it was next to track, unsure if that was on purpose.

Enjoyed running around and shooting. Really floaty and sensitive controls, but great art style.

Good style, fun diary. Had ghost collisions and would seemingly randomly lose. A good entry :)

The mountains and clouds were gorgeous.

Fun, fast passed game. Seemed like the thieves moved too quickly and I couldn't figure out the defense idea. The generation made a great map and I LOVED that end screen selling all your items.

I couldn't figure out the first boss. Was there a hint or clue I missed? The gameplay was interesting, but the puzzles didn't seem to work for me.

Fun! Interesting mechanics with throwing the guns. Some of the sound effects for shooting were obnoxious machine guns tho which was a poor choice.

Almost all of the game aspects are scriptable objects which really allowed me to make the ui for the majority of the time, then make each card and enemy and shop in about 2 hours :)

Thanks for the play! I last minute made each section longer, which probably wasn't fully necessary.

Dominion was a HUGE influence on the play style, so I'm glad that shown through a bit. Thanks for the feedback, I'm really considering making this into a full game.
