I didn’t want to add in too much info in the tutorial since walls of text tend to scare off people, or make them skip important info, so I opted to keep it lightweight. Ideally, I would have added some information you could refer to in-game, but yeah, game jam, lack of time, etc. haha.

Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, balancing was definitely a challenge, due to the fact that most drops and the ship’s behaviour are unpredictable, we had to do a lot of test runs to try and get it right, haha. The fuel drain does go up as you play, but so does the amount of enemies that spawn per wave, and I feel like that’s the reason why you can grind out fuel from them.

Maybe it’s the creator bias speaking, but I do very much like watching the ship try to survive bigger and bigger bullet waves, haha

Thank you for your review!

Having created an impassible deadlock at the center, I think I can safely say I’ve won the game, haha

I definitely had fun! The game feels impossible to lose at the moment, but that’s nothing that can’t be updated later on. Music felt extremely fitting, and contributed towards the whole game feeling like a pretty relaxed strategy game!

Thank you! I’m glad people still enjoyed the music despite not having put as much time as I would have liked into it, haha

Well, that was an unexpected end for my run, haha

It was a pretty nice and relaxing game, found myself playing a lot longer than expected! Good job!

Very nice concept! Sadly there isn’t much to do in it, but looking at the planned list of changes, it sounds like it’ll get a lot more interesting! I wish you good luck with updating the game!

Thank you!

Very nice game and super solid concept! Ironically enough, if this game’s concept was applied to regular metroidvanias, then you’d finally fix the end-game power creep they tend to have, haha. I had fun, and ended up doing 2 runs! Though I was a bit disappointed that the dialogue at the end didn’t change when I went through the whole game without killing anyone. The sprite work, especially with the boss, was very well done. And the music had a nice melancholic feel to it!

I’d recommend against using a cylinder collider for the player character in sidescrollers, or to increase their friction, as I often ended slipping off ledges, especially when landing. It ended up being pretty frustrating, especially on one of the jumps near the end. But outside of that, the game controlled well and doing a pacifist run felt very satisfying, with all the weaving between enemies!

The abilities coming in over time adds very good depth to the game! It was pretty fun, although I did get to level 99 on my second try, with 5 dragons being very powerful and killing the hero in only a few attacks. Still, it was pretty fun, and required some timing to spawn enemies right before the hero attacks, to avoid them taking damage!

Good job!

Catchy music! The gameplay felt pretty nice as well! I especially liked trapping the guy against a wall to give me time to place a platform under him, haha. It also seems like I could influence his direction with the momentum of the platforms! I did have some trouble on some runs where the camera would scroll up very quickly, and that gave me no time to take control of a platform before the guy would die. Despite this, I think I did well with a run that reached a 3k score?

It was a fun game, good job!

It’s a shame that the bug mentioned in the description ended up slipping through, but despite this, the game is very fun! The art’s very high quality, and very cute too! I especially liked the little lizard’s face on the end screen, haha. Getting creative with attacks like the Focus Shot to bounce bullets back towards your trainer was satisfying, and gosh, the lasers were very satisfying to land, taking out a big chunk of health at once

Amazing job!

Thank you! And yeah, Sapheu did an amazing job with the art!

Thanks!

Good alliteration on the title, haha

The gameplay was very engaging! Lots of going back and forth between the two main guys and trying to get rid of the jesters & enemies. I kept forgetting about the timer and sending everyone back to sleep, oops. The sound effects & music worked well with the game, and the characters have a nice unique cutesy style!

Good job!

Extremely fun game, I especially liked using the bunny with the goblin to deal massive damage, haha.

There’s a lot of strategy to this, especially with the different items. The coin was very useful as a way to force the hero to go to a specific place, picking up a sword on the way. The animations were crazy good, super energetic and bouncy!

Sadly, my run ended early because I appear to have somehow placed a card off-screen. I was trying to place it at the bottom left corner. The round wouldn’t start and I couldn’t reset the cards

Still, I had a lot of fun with this game!

Thank you! But yeah, there’s technically no winning this game, since it goes on infinitely, haha

Thank you!

I appear to have gotten the camera stuck on floor 63, I think it happened due to to the character having picked up a toooon of momentum

Outside of that, did another good run and got to 206, I don’t know what the target floor is to get to the end screen shown in the screenshots, but I think I did pretty well!

Placing platforms on top of the lil guy to make him pick up a ton of speed was super satisfying and I ended up doing a lot more runs than I expected. This game has a very nice addictiveness to it, haha. I do wish that the platforms also bounced from below, it would have been pretty funny to accidentally throw the guy back down! I ended up just ignoring the bubbles sadly because they overwrite the momentum the noob picked up so far. They would have been pretty fun otherwise! The slow-mo was a great mechanic and allowed some crazy momentum building!

I had a really nice time with this game! Great job!

Drawing paths is definitely a good idea! I also thought about maybe giving a way to influence where the pilot goes by clicking to make the gameplay more engaging, but yeah, gamejam, lack of time, yada yada, haha

The AI actually wasn’t too hard to implement! I had some previous experience with messing around with boids/flocking AIs, and inspired myself from how those work!

Thanks for your review!

Amazing puzzle game which uses its gimmick at its full potential. The level design is very well tuned so that none of the puzzles are too hard or too easy. Definitely got stumped a few times! The music is very relaxing, though it’s hard to listen to when slowing down time, haha.

Seriously, this is a mind-blowing entry, great job!

Yeah, the multiplier increases with both difficulty and the amount of waves of enemies that are active! It encourages some more risky play, haha

Thank you for your review!

That’s really unfortunate for the projectiles. I’m really wondering why that only occurs to a few people, and not everyone.

Still, thank you for trying it out and thanks for the comment!

OH gosh, I went in blind and definitely got a bit spooked when the play button broke and the music flipped. The hand-drawn style was pretty great! Gives the game a very unique visual style. Sadly, couldn’t make it past the main menu, tried all the menus and spamming help, but they only spawned on top of one-another until they left the screen. Still, this game was pretty clever, and managed to be pretty eerie, which I believe was definitely the goal, haha

Good job!

Appears to crash when you’re about to kill the heart

Outside of the crash, it was a pretty nice game! The groups were interesting, as you could send in waves of enemies instead of all of them at once. Though there isn’t much incentive to use them I feel like, since sending in all your enemies at once appears to be a better plan.

Still, good job!

I knew level 4 didn’t work, but I still spent a bunch of time trying to force the fisherman into the water, haha. I think I got close one time when I pulled on his lure, but then he got stuck.

Outside of that, very nice art, and a good concept! Definitely needs some more levels, but yeah, game jam’s time limit and all, haha. Good job still!

I was about to mention that the game crashes, but then I read the description, haha

The art is very nice and the game was pretty fun! There was some rhythm to dodging the main crosshair while going for the coins which felt nice! Good job!

Found some very funny cheese, haha.

Preventing the net from going too far right would have been a good thing to avoid this, but outside of that, it was a fun mini-game! The sound effects were satisfying, and moving the net last minute as the ball is falling down to the ground was fun!

This game had a definite charm to it, with the CRT filter, art style and music contributing a lot to it! I wonder if I got lucky, but I always happened to get just what I needed when one of my stats dropped to 1, feels like I got very close to losing, haha

Very cute and relaxing game!

Died during endless, my wrist was starting to hurt, haha. I do wish we could start directly from the weekend though, since the start is pretty slow.

The music changing with the days was a very nice touch and adds some charm to the game! Nice job!

Gets pretty hard once you’ve gone through a few waves! I ended up losing with 4 of my monsters left on the map. The game reminded me a lot of old tower defense games, where you’d have to build mazes to make sure the enemies have a very long path to the goal, haha

Solid game!

Lockpick was tough to figure out, since I thought red was close, and yellow far, but outside of that, good game with a lot of variety! Very good subversion at the start with making us think we’re playing an idle clicker game, haha.

Very well designed puzzles! The fact that the character traces their path as they move is an extremely welcome feature, as I found I relied on it a lot while going through the puzzles! I also really liked how open-ended the game was, there was a lot of room to be creative with the solutions! In the final level, I ended up re-using the same jump pad twice, but with gravity reversed in-between.

Very good presentation, the music was somehow catchy and relaxing at the same time, and good sound effects! This was a very fun game!

This (puzzle? strategy?) game is extremely well polished! Very nice art, good sounds & music as well! I had a lot of fun playing it, and only wished there was some kind of infinite mode once I beat the last level. The final level felt very satisfying to beat, considering the variety and quantity of units you had to spawn! At that point, the game had turned into some kind of reverse-strategy game, haha

Amazing job!

This game makes me wish I could use two computer mice at once, haha. Gosh, the panic between having to drag the enemies’ hp to make sure they die, spinning the spindle and taking care of potions really makes this game intense! Very solid experience!

The pilot got a lot better as we moved through the jam, haha

Thanks!

Great game! The art was very nice and fits well with the relaxing aura this game has! The music was great as well. Super chill game for a situation that’s usually super stressful in real life, haha. The game feels very well polished and complete, which is very rare for jam games! Seriously, you two did an amazing job!

Wonderful idea, and congrats on making the portal physics work! It definitely doesn’t seem like something that’d be easy to figure out within a jam! The first room’s a very good tutorial, but I felt like the 2nd room was a bit finicky, sadly couldn’t get through it, maybe it would have been better to have some more levels in-between both!

But yeah, outside of that, good job on making it through the jam!

Pretty tough, especially with the green enemies spawning before we get to upgrade anything. I also wish it were more obvious if a tower is cooling down, or if it overheated, since there’s a delay before towers shoot when you switch, and you gotta wait for that delay to notice if it overheated

Very cool concept however! And the upgrades were fun and satisfying to unlock!

The very first level does a good job at teaching the concept of the game I felt like, since you’re blocked there until you click on the block. Some good Geometry Dash vibes in there! Though I do wish the music didn’t reset on every attempt, I don’t think we get to hear much of it because of that.

Congrats on submitting!

Thank you for your review! And yeah, the pilot can get pretty good! Though sometimes, it is a bit dumb and gets stuck in a corner, haha
