Really liked the art and the vibe :D
Maybe making the last platform on the screen get selected when the platform selected is destroyed could improve the game...

It's like flappy bird but rotated 90 degrees and i'm controlling the pipes but the bird is dancing and the pipes don't kill him they help him :o

Catchy music! The gameplay felt pretty nice as well! I especially liked trapping the guy against a wall to give me time to place a platform under him, haha. It also seems like I could influence his direction with the momentum of the platforms! I did have some trouble on some runs where the camera would scroll up very quickly, and that gave me no time to take control of a platform before the guy would die. Despite this, I think I did well with a run that reached a 3k score?

It was a fun game, good job!

Cool disco vibes! Was that a tribute for Icy Tower?
Game was fun and easy to understand. Moving the platforms is a great twist on the standard ascending game.
I think that this could easily work as a two button (left+right) game, if the controlled platform would update automatically, or maybe even make one in 2-4 platforms controllable without being able to choose. It could both simplify and make game more challenging.

Besides that, great entry! Art and music were awesome too. I got to score 900.

Excellent concept and execution very fitting, lovely art and vibe. A bit too hard to control.

A fun and clever core mechanic that fits the theme well, along with a very charming overall presentation. Could be worth trying an iteration where the character can only bounce on player-selected platforms to give the player some more control (coupling that with a higher bounce and fewer platforms placed close together might also be needed to help with that). Also might be worth trying a version that zooms out to show the whole stage at once, which could help regulate the difficulty a bit. Regardless, a very solid core mechanic with a ton of potential. Hope you keep fleshing it out!

Really cool concept and art! I found it a bit hard though. Maybe you can move back the camera so you can see more platforms and make the movement of the character more predictable. Anyway I have a lot of fun playing the game GJ ^^

Really cool concept

nice idea, the music is also great! tho I find it hard sometimes to keep track with the character because he jumps so high that i need to switch 2-3 platforms at the same time.

otherwise, nice job!

Great idea! Enjoyed - but too easy

This is a great idea and the graphics and audio are super! Only complaint I have is that the jumping dude can often just jump against the wall repeatedly and I didn't have much of a choice but to wait for him. Otherwise, awesome game!

You can bring higher platforms to him while the dude "stands still",
No need to wait ;)

There seems to be a lot of games in this jam about controlling platforms. Using the mechanic here in a tower climb really, creates a very engaging hecticness that a more traditional platformer doesn't capture, and makes me nostalgic the days I spent playing those games for hours as a kid.

Cool, Simple and GROOVY <3!

I wonder how it will change the game if the platforms would be responsible for the angle of the "ball" (the dancer), could be an interesting twist for "BreakOut".

330 was the best I got in 5 minutes of play!
Very satisfying to play, small bug (likely known) that if you squish the jumper with the block he can get permastuck!
Love the twist :)
