Yeah, definitely, a classic case of "I wish I had just a little more time... and then a little more on top of that" haha. Glad you liked it, sorry the panning wasn't clear (at all), in coming jams I'm gonna try to be a bit more efficient, lol! The UI library I used was something I was already working on, maybe I should make some libraries for general software and games making, to make jams a little easier.

Lol I'm glad you liked it. Cool to see another poisson noise enjoyer, by the way lol! Thanks for rating!

Edit: Also, yes, the difficulty could do with some balancing, lol! I didn't quite have time for that after spending so long on everything else haha

I did it! I beat it! YES! Finally! Loooool

Why, oh why did I build my house out of such rigid, bouncy, rubber! Lol! This is... a very addictive game, to me. This is very well done, and very complete for a jam project. I like it!

This is a really good looking game, I like that the background and foreground are very consistent with each other, and the style of the game generally. It can be so easy to get fixated in a jam, but this feels very evenly complete. Very cool! Reminds me of highschool, lol!

A very cool concept, and well executed! With an intro, a help screen, end-game state, and restart, this is a complete project. It's just right!

Yeah, I spent a lot of time on the underlying system I couldn't quite get the gameplay and balance right before the jam was over, (I had to put in a bit of work after submissions were due, actually lol!)

I do regret that it's way too easy.

I very much appreciate the inclusion of, not only a menu, but even a settings menu where I can turn down the sound! The only submission so far, that I've seen, that does that. (Not even my submissions has that, lol).

A very funny addition, and a well-made menu lol!

A fine demo! I noticed some quirks in the movement, when holding down multiple movement keys. Other than that, a great example of 3D software! I also adore the presentation, a fake mini-window inside a canvas! Very novel!

Frankly I find it offensive that Python 4 would ever seg-fault and be the 'cause of any problems ever! 4/5 stars, loved it!

Unfortunate that you couldn't build it out into the progressive puzzle game you wanted but, that's jam-life, lol! Very on theme, and very funny! Keep at it!

A fairly well polished game in the mini-puzzle family! And for a jam, very well made! I also thought the title was a fun play on words lol.

Card games are not really my thing, though I certainly prefer realtime games over turn-based! And a really great gladitorial idea, in terms of mixing genres (real time fighting x card games). Very cool!

Thanks!

One bug I experienced is that, in fullscreen, the zoom buttons in the lower right corner don't align visually to their apparent boxes. It seems like the zoom in button box occupies the right half of the zoom in button visual, and the zoom out button box occupies the left half of the zoom IN button visual. It seems like the scaling for the "mouse inside rect" does not match the scaling for the visual buttons.

Another bug I encountered was backspacing to undo did not fully undo a paint operation. It seemed that portions of a paint operation was immune to undo if it was inside a stamp.

One last bug, I'm not sure if it is, was that on Windows 7 (feel free to ignore this one lol), the "fullscreen" was actually just fullscreen windowed, not fullscreen proper.

I presume it's because I'm on Windows 7, my Google Chrome hasn't updated in over a year if I remember correctly lol! No problem, looks very cool, people are loving it!

A comprehensive experience for sure! So many levels, lol! Very engaging, and honestly? Very satisfying. I haven't played factorio or satisfactory, but I imagine this is very much in that genre. If this was intentional, you nailed it. Very impressive!

Edit: I also REALLY appreciate that I can go to a menu and close the app, lol!

A fun little gravity sim! And very cute that the shapes have names, lol!

I couldn't get it to load at all, let alone "3D mode", but from what I've seen it's very impressive, especially to be made in such a short amount of time! A great demonstration of the power of the PGE lol!

Quite a faithful recreation of an old arcade classic. Great to see a game with sound aswell! Not easy to implement sounds and music on such a tight time budget like a jam.

Very nice!

Very cool! Well made! Nice to see some raylib love in the jam, too, lol. The UI has a couple of quirks, but overall a very nice experience.

A fun little "shapes" game for sure!

Every level is a brain-bender, lol!

A very well made example of a reflections game, and it was certainly challenging! It has a great feel, very smooth despite the iteratively reflective nature of the game. I think it could have done with a bit more polish in the UI, some things were a little unclear, but super fun nonetheless.

Definitely fits the theme, lol!

I found it quite buggy, but I'm on Windows 7 which I suspect is probably the issue lol. From what I could tell, and from what I see in the screenshots, it's a very cool concept! Also, thanks for providing a linux distribution aswell, very generous!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!

Also, you make an excellent point, I completely forgot to include instructions on how to actually play! lol, sorry! The Itch page has been updated, thanks for reminding me lol

LOVE the retro style, very windows 95! A wonderfully feature-rich program, and quite within the theme, ofcourse!

Very cool!

Certainly an interesting take on the theme! And a very fun idea, aswell! I did find the prompts to be a bit hit and miss, some were very difficult, while others were very easy.

All in all, a fine submission to the jam, I think.

Gosh! That's a little too fun lol! I started playing and then suddenly the sun was up! It's very smooth, and playable. The camera moves just right, and the controls are very tight. The balance is a bit off, though, lol. I found that, quite quickly, I could upgrade my special attacks to a point where they would replenish their own charge% to full while being used, and thus could be used infinitely.

Other than that, a very nice little game that I could see myself REALLY playing... playing too much! lol!

A very cool demo! And very generous of you to present the source code!

Not really my kind of game, and I'm not entirely sure it honours the theme, though it is clearly includes elements of shapes. I rate it 3/5 stars for "adherence".

Other than that, my goodness what a complete game! Very cohesive experience, and a lovely UI. A story, combat and exploration, this is very comprehensive.

One small gripe, it is a bit of an audio bomb, I had to turn system volume WAY down to 2 out of 100.

Anyway, very cool! Very complete!

It's a shame the emscripten version didn't work, it appears to be a failure of the generated HTML, it didn't seem to point to any wasm assets, nor were any wasm assets loaded.

As for the game, the hit detection was a bit wonky, but other than that quite a fun little shoot'em up! I like that the player is a flying machine, but also a penguin, lol!

Not sure I fully get it haha, but a very neat presentation. I'm also glad to see another ".convert_alpha()" fan, you love to see it.

I can also confirm that this code runs on python 3.8.10, on Windows 7!

A shame to hear that Claude was such a factor, but even still, the project is very feature complete! I love the UI, and the dynamic emergence of the iteration and generation system. A very neat idea!

Next time, take the plunge and solo it without AI, you've got the vision!

Making any kind of text editor is pretty hard, very impressive you have such a robust one! It's not super feature-rich, but still an impressive project!

I didn't fully understand it right away, but now I think it's pretty slick. A very interesting twist on the classic, surprising that it works aswell as it does. That being said, cool prank with the secret shapes hahaha, you menace!

A very cool, very theme-faithful game! Also, very satisfying.

This submission is perhaps the only 5 star "Adherence" of the jam (in my opinion), and that includes my own, lol!

Very cool! Basically professional! Some things were a bit confusing like when you have to give the monkeys multiple bananas on levels that were similar to previous levels (I think it was level 8 that looked like level 2 but a slightly different objective). I did notice that when a monkey is satisfied, it sits contently, and this was enough for me to figure it out lol.

But mostly, very cool!

That's very fair. I did try Nuitka, unfortunately it required that Windows SDK be installed in my Visual Studio... even though it was. The classic problem, lol. I have since tried "pyinstaller" and I can say that I can now provide an .exe file. I've updated the provided files, and the Executable download is an archive with an .exe file!

I hope you re-try!

BUG REPORT: Crash on start-up; " Unable to open file: 'assets\\..\\music\\shooting.mp3'; From what I can tell, variables.py erroneously identifies the music folder as inside the assets folder, whereas, in reality, it is found in the root folder.

The game is a little difficult for me, but I love that it's 52kb in total; That's so 90s lol.
