The player character moves super slow, I'm just barely able to hit the first quota. Why have it in the first place? There are already two separate timers pressuring the player.

It seems like more fish spawn deeper down, but you can't get far enough down and come back up before your air runs out. You can upgrade your speed and air capacity, but you have to spend points, and if you spend any points you can't hit the quota and lose the game.

This could be fun with faster movement speed and a little less pressure.

It took a while to figure out that you're supposed to visit the 4 corners of your shop to get to the counters, where people are buying and selling things. It takes a very long time to walk from one counter to another, and it's hard to keep track of what's available to buy and which NPC wants to buy what.

The premise is interesting but the execution lost me.

Granted level 8 is hard and not the most well designed, I definitely could've done better on it :')

The ball always starts by going to the right, and we forgot to change it until very late in, which ended up being a bit of a restriction and a point of confusion.

Thank you for the feedback, glad you had fun! :D

Thanks! I was able to play through it and won! After a few failed attempts :D

It reminds me of board games like Carcassonne. The 8-bit rendition of Scarborough Fair made me chuckle. Some of the SFX are very loud though, and there was one that got bugged towards the end. (Might have been because three vikings were beating up a single fort.)

Overall it's charming and I liked it! It really is real-time strategy.

The letters are a bit hard to read. It throws me off to write only using WASD, I keep having to look at the keyboard to make sure I'm writing the correct things. I'd prefer to be able to write actual words (not a critique of the current state of the game but a suggestion for the future!)

I haven't been able to get past level 2. The green monster healing fully and calling allies is way too tough.

Great work overall! All the enemy shapes are easy to read, the sound and music rock, it's just an all around enjoyable game. On my second run I almost got to the 2nd boss but picked up bad upgrades along the way so I died immediately lol

Running the game places the whole game window in the upper left corner in an incredibly small resolution. I can't make out the rules. Make sure to run your browser build at least once before submitting!

I can't really rate this game because I don't actually know what I'm supposed to do. A voice said to go to "mining area 5" (?)  but I don't know where that is. I heard the NPCs say something (they talked over one another so I couldn't hear what) but I'm not sure if it was feedback to something I did or if they just sound off sometimes. I walked around for a couple minutes but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I liked the torch lighting mechanic, the game rewards your progress by making the room safer to be in since you can see more of your surroundings.

I kept spamming the fire button though, I wish there was an indicator that told you when the ability was charged up.

With work and TLC this can be a good game! Congrats on submitting to the jam!

I wish I could rebind the keyboard controls! That said I can understand why there's separate controls for sideways movement and turning.

Almost managed to beat level 1 on the third try! Most of the challenge was in keeping the cart upright, which feels pretty hard to do on slopes.

Great job on the music, it's a bop!
