Fun project! I love the small visual detail of the air drag that appears behind the player.
An important note, your game struggles to handle different screen resolutions. I recommend going to Godot then doing the following:
1. Go to project -> project settings -> display -> window
2. Scroll down to the "Stretch" settings
3. Change the Mode from "disabled" to "viewport"
4. Re-export to itchio, now the game should work on all screen resolutions!
Fun little game though! I hope to see more games from you in the future!
Great work getting them ported to HTML! That's the safest way to share games on this site.
I noticed you removed "double x jump" from the jams it didn't belong in. That was a very responsible move and shows a lot of integrity. Your games show promise, and handling this situation the right way proves you have the mindset of a great developer.
I will re-iterate however, switching to HTML protects us, but your computer is still infected if you have not taken action. Please make sure you perform a factory reset soon so you don't lose your own personal data or accounts to those viruses.
Best of luck with your future projects! Don't let this experience deter you from being a great game developer!
I love the movement to this game so much! It's a very aggressive movement style that is hard to handle at first but once you learn it becomes incredibly fun. Always got so hyped to see the room with the large pit because if you timed it right you could slide into a jump and clear the whole thing, super satisfying to pull off.
Visually the game has a lot of really cool aspects, your merge of 2D and 3D assets is really cool and I love the way it looks. The only recommendation I can make there is some sort of texturing on the walls and floor, the current does certainly give the feel of a sterile lab, but also gives it a bit of an unfinished game look. I think with that included this game would look so cool.
But as is, especially within the 3 day timer, this game is a really fun fast paced entry with a unique visual style that has a lot of potential if expanded further. Amazing work!
Very nice game visually! Love the defined color for each of the 3 heights to defend from.
As many have said by now, it definitely has a very slow start, but picks up eventually, I'd recommend increasing the rate of acceleration for it all.
Other than that nitpick it's a fantastic game once it speeds up! Super fun and the color coding makes it super intuitive to quickly determine the best defense strategy. Great work!
This game is awesome! I really could see myself spending a lot of time playing this one. It's simple sure but honestly it doesn't need any more complexity, it's a game about speeding through a wormhole and it does a perfect job at being exactly that!
The colorful design of the wormhole and well-programmed endless generation shows that you are both very good at making games that are visually appealing AND structurally sound. The only thing that could use a bit more attention is the UI design, godot defaults tend to make a project look more unfinished. Just some simple color and font changes and I think the game would look way better.
Regardless, this is one of my favorite endless runners I've played this jam! Great work!
So funny that you say that lol. Originally the idea was more inspired by WarioWare, with you getting a bunch of micro tasks to handle, but the office setting made me realize halfway through development "damn this is basically a fnaf game"
Anyways yes the thing you experienced was intentional! The GPS on the left is there to warn you. When Ellis stops you'll be sent forward, and when he speeds up you get thrown back. This is communicated pretty poor in this build, and I plan to improve it in later ones.
Thank you so much for this insightful feedback!
90% of snail racers quit before they win big.
Absolutely loved this entry. I didn't even know the entire point of the game was the snail racing at first, I simply thought it was the path I chose because I beelined for that snail casino. Love the incredibly out of the box take on the restriction and a strangely beautiful message on the nature of addiction.
Amazing work! This is one of the more unconventional projects in the jam but it fits in perfectly.
Honestly thank you so much for that feedback! I appreciate you giving it a shot and letting me know. In later builds I'll be easing in the mechanics rather than throwing them all in at once, and will have lower difficulty modes that give you more time for tasks on top of that. Thank you very much for playing and for leaving such insightful feedback!
Yes I totally agree! I'm suprised you're the first to bring this up lol. My original plan involved mecha pilots calling you with specific issues and you had to go to a station to help them during their fights. A large appeal to this was going to be that you're in a world surrounded by advanced sci-fi tech and you're still working in the back of what is basically a modern day moving truck. Thank you for playing and thank you for the good feedback!
This is a very good entry and overall shows a lot of attention to detail! The checkpoint system is handled very well, and the way you integrated a seamless loop back to the beginning is super cool! I see some mentioning it's too difficult, mostly that last jump, but idk that jump was probably my favorite part since I'm a sucker for skill-based difficulty. Perhaps if you wanted to take the project further you could have an easy, medium, and hard difficulty map.
A few suggestions and bug reports if I may: there needs to be a checkpoint the moment you loop back to the start, as I was able to pass the starting line again, die, then be taken to the last checkpoint and finish the last leg of the loop for a time of 15 seconds.
I also recommend a manual reset to last checkpoint button. While I was unable to get myself softlocked when intentionally trying to do so, I believe it may be possible in the right circumstances, a manual reset button would guarantee this isn't possible.
I spent more time discussing minor flaws than the many more great parts of this game because I see a lot of potential in it and really would love to see you refine this project into something even greater! But let me be clear, this is an absolutely amazing entry, easily in my top 10 of the jam!
I love this out of the box take on the jam theme! Easily one of my favorite interpretations so far!
As is clear by now, this game just looks absolutely beautiful, not only is the pixel art really well done but the way in which you handled cutscenes and special effects when attacking all just looks really satisfying and this game is just wonderful to look at.
The gameplay is solid, I love dash attacks in games and that's all that's here and I love it! Dashing around and attacking the enemies was a lot of fun.
Overall an amazing entry!
Very cool concept! I think with some polish and expansion on the idea you could have a really cool and unique game!
The pixel art is very charming with a simple but clean and nice look. The lowered opacity to demonstrate the sort've "phantom movement" you do before the actual movement is a really nice design touch.
I'll brush past the obvious things already mentioned like no sound and some polish needed on the mechanics. The main thing that sticks out to me is the Godot default grey background and default font, I highly recommend for pixel art games going into the fonts settings and turning off anti-aliasing, it's a super easy and instant improvement visually. Here's an example of the difference.

Great work though! This is one of the most unique concepts I've seen in this jam, I hope you see this project further because it has a lot of potential!
From my understanding this does indeed give them full admin permissions to edit files. I'd recommend either keeping a backup of the project somewhere else or if you'd prefer total safety, they can add the game to a collection and display it on their profile.
This goes into detail about collections: https://itch.io/updates/game-collections-and-updated-profile-pages
Again though, I've never really worked with these things myself, so if someone else can verify that there's no way to add contributors without giving them admin permissions that'd be great.
LMAO, I like to consider my username a subversion of expectations bordering on false advertising, so truly that is one of the best compliments I've received.
But wonderful feedback I appreciate your thoroughness! You are correct this game is in desparate need of a skip cutscene button, I was going to add one but honestly that intro was a house of cards waiting to topple because I've never programmed a cutscene in godot lol so I was afraid to touch it. I'll be sure to include it in the post-jam build!
Thank you so very much for your wonderful and insightful review!
Hello, I'm citing my answer from this forum post: https://itch.io/post/567237
1. Enter the project Dashboard
2. Click More/Admins
3. Enter the username and click Add admin
4. Send the agree to link to collaborator
5. Turn on the "Contributor" toggle
Let me know if that helps, anyone with more experience doing this please verify if that is correct.
Hello, first off I appreciate the effort you're going through to fix the issue. As the individual that reported the virus I'd like to provide more context, I now believe this user is not behaving with completely ill intentions and would like to assist where I can.
Your game you made for this jam: "Endless Falling" is the one with a trojan named "Raccoon", here is the windows security output. This is a trojan focused on stealing data.

However the second game you submitted: "double x jump", the one made far in advance and does not abide by any of the jams rules, has a completely different virus called the Expiro virus. This is a trojan focused on infecting files.

I now firmly believe that despite your somewhat dishonest behavior submitting a game to this jam that was not made for it, that you are not spreading these files intentionally. I am not an expert in cybersecurity so I can't give great advice on how to remove these viruses other than a full factory reset of your PC, but I can confirm your computer is terribly contaminated.
In the future, exercise extreme caution in what files you download and where you get them. And be sure to read the rules of the jams you participate in, you have submitted "double x jump" to a staggering number of jams, breaking the rules in pretty much all of them.

That game over animation is just pure cinema.
Honestly looking at the controls I was very concerned this game would be far too complex to understand for a jam game, but I was pleasantly surprised! I was able to catch on to the gimmick pretty quick and overall it's a super interesting concept. Managing so many systems at once is overwhelming, but in a fun and engaging way that truly sells this feeling of being an overburdened space pilot with a complex system.
The game is very well made, I ran into no major bugs and laughed every time my ships demise just hard cuts to an alien smoking a fat one. The mechanics are well programmed and engaging to manage as you fly around.
I think this project could really go far, even beyond this jam! You've got a really clever game here, amazing work!
This art style is the best art I've seen in the whole jam! The monster design is super interesting and the animation when you get caught is so cool. The way you worked the limitation into your games story so well is absolutely phenomenal.
The gameplay is incredibly simple and you have to pretty much actively try to lose, but I think this works really well narratively, you only lose if you give up.
Overall this one feels more like an esoteric art piece with an interesting message than a game, and I mean that as a full compliment I really enjoyed my time with this one.
This game is wild! I'm always a fan of when games don't limit you on speed but man that's quite a crazy amount of speed lol. I think this game definitely sells the "speed" theme the strongest.
It can get to the point where it's just impossible to reasonably react to things though, making gameplay a bit hard to keep up with. But overall I really like the general presentation and pixel art.
A unique and fun experience overall, good job!
This game is absolutely fantastic! I was honestly already having fun when it was simply sorting white and blue docs lol but the expansion of requirements as you go makes this a really enjoyable experience.
The amount of mechanics you were able to fit into this within 3 days is absolutely incredible, not just due to the difficulty of adding so many moving pieces but also because they fit so seamlessly well together, this is a very well crafted game. Only thing I'd note is that a custom font would really enhance the game's look, the Godot default is quite noticeable and gives it a partial unfinished feel but that's a small nitpick in an otherwise stellar project!
Wonderful job!
Man this game is right up my alley! I love the intricate movement system you've built here, sliding around in such a chaotic environment is just so incredibly fun. It's definitely on the more difficult side of the games in this jam, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I could see myself really getting into this just for the movement system alone.
That big column in the center is so fun to slide around, you did a great job at making an environment that compliments the skillset provided to the player.
Only real note I have is, while the controls being on the itch page is a nice touch, they should also be displayed within the game itself.
But overall it's an absolutely fantastic game, one I could see myself coming back to.
Very satisfying gameplay! You definitely got the "speed" part of the jam theme down perfect, and the procedural generation for the limitation is also incredibly commendable.
Overall you have a solid foundation in programming and I think this project shows potential to be taken even further, great work!
First off, congrats on your first published game, it's absolutely phenomenal as an opening project!
Now, as pretty much everyone has stated, your strongest skill is definitely art, this game is just lovely to look at. It all feels so bouncy and lively, it's got a particular joyous vibe to it that's hard to put into words but is incredibly wonderful to experience. Your cover image is also such a great display of the effort you've put into this.
The game design is something I feel also deserves great praise, the slow incorporation of the different obstacles and the super intuitive UI that is both easy to understand and sets the tone for the game world is absolutely amazing for a first public project, and is one of the best cases of readable and clean game design I've seen this entire jam!
Genuinely outstanding work, I'm excited to see what you create in the future.
Very nice game! It's very well programmed and the post end-of-jam feature of the countdown timer is a great touch. While the visuals are simplistic, this is to the games benefit and overall gives the game a very polished and finished look.
I could honestly seeing this being a super popular mobile game with just a bit more work on it. Great work, this has one of the biggest "finished product" feels of the whole jam!
Hi! I'd love to play your game but you've made a mistake when uploading it. Godot, upon exporting, provides you with two files an exe and a pck. BOTH files are needed for the game to run, but there is a way to combine them.
Your game cannot be played because it lacks the .pck that was exported with your exe. If you'd like to just upload an exe, there is an "embed PCK" box you can check when exporting that will combine them into one exe.
Others have likely steered clear of your game as your account is relatively new, the file size was small (indicative of viruses), and you don't have a cover image on your game's page. I HIGHLY recommend adding a cover image to your games page as well as a few screenshots.
I personally suggest you look into exporting the game for browsers, it's easy to do and godot natively supports it. It will get far more people to play your game.
