I think I will agree with the other comment. The pace of the game is waaay too slow, and you also don't remember all the products in the storage. Maybe if they at least had some icons, it would be much easier (something like the icons from Stardew Valley). The presentation tho is great, and I really enjoy the graphic combination. Great stuff!
Thanks for the idea! Creating icons instead of pure dialogue definitely would drastically help improve the pace of the game as it would help with the storage idea also.
I love the 2.5D visuals for this game!
I do think the game could benefit from some more in-game explanations rather than having it on the itch.io page as I was a little confused as to what the goal was for a bit.
The game seems to be decently well polished though, I couldn't find any major glitches so great work on that end!
Overall it was a solid entry, great work!
Thanks for the review! Yeah, an in game tutorial certainly would have been a way better way to demonstrate the concept of the game. Got to make a mental note if I ever do another game jam.
I enjoyed playing your game. One thing I'd like to have is to buy only a few of the heroes goods and sell them only some of their demanded goods. I have been quite often in a situation where customer after customer requested items I had not in stock while my storage was completely full. But maybe I got something wrong...
Thanks for the comment! Yeah... I didn't really think to far ahead with the whole storage. I'll try to find a way to balance out the requests of items if I ever get to continue with the game.
I truly think this has potential beyond the jam. It's already got an amazing atmosphere, and I love the visuals, and you could really run with the concept and make it into a complex management game where you can customise and invest into your shop/ tavern and embrace a side of these fantasies you rarely see.
I know that's my imagination getting ahead of me, but that's only because I enjoyed it. Great submission!
Thanks for the compliments! I definitely will take those ideas into consideration if I ever continue developing as I didn't even think about the customization features.
Pretty cool! I think the game could of benefited from a bit on funny banter and haggling with the NPCs.
Thanks for the comment! Yeah I definitely think that being able to have back and forth comments with the NPCs would have made things much more interesting.
