Great game! I love the presentation of the game and had tons of fun playing. Maybe you should add a timer or indicator of when the health powerup was gonna run out.

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Definitely gonna add timers or some kind of not too distracting indicators to the blocks in post jam updates. Thank you for the feedback!

Brilliant idea for this jam theme!

I had a lot of fun playing this one, the inclusion of specialized bricks such as the time bomb one were really creative and made the game far more enjoyable to play.

Only complaint I have is that there is no limit on how many bricks you can give a shield at a time making the game a little too easy.

Otherwise it was a wonderful idea with an amazing implementation!

Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing!

Great game! Would love to see when the ball has powerups or more strategy when you can spam click a lot of tiles to shield them up.

very simple game that does everything it sets out to do perfectly!

The game is great, all I would add is that the paddle goes through the wall and I'm not sure if that's on purpose.

Developer

Its not on purpose, just forgot to fix it before the deadline :) Gonna do it after the jam. Thanks for catching it and thanks for playing! :)

Amazing idea, great execution!
Really fun gameplay loop, I think this game would work great with touch controls. Maybe make a mobile version and get the bag!

Developer

Thank you!

Game looks really solid

Extremely simple, fun and engaging! If I were to change one thing, it would be - after selecting a power-up brick, that brick should also become unbreakable. Although maybe this is an intentional design choice as it makes you think a bit more about when you want to click the powerup and whether it's worth risking the brick for

Developer(+1)

I might change it post jam because scoring high or perfect is a little bit too hard right now. This could help make it a little bit easier. Thank you for the suggestion and for playing!

This was great. Real great. I'm chasing for that perfect score, man, but it's really hard to do that (which is totally okay!!)

Developer

Thank you very much! Yep... getting perfect score might be a little too hard in this first version... sorry about that. Thanks for trying tho. :)

I like the idea a lot! Using the mouse to click makes it pretty easy. I wonder if it would be more engaging if you controlled a player that had to navigate the bricks and build the shields. It could make it more stressful. But I really love the idea and had a bit of fun playing. Great job!

Developer

Yes, controlling a player character to do the tasks instead of mouse clicking definitely sounds more engaging and fun! Maybe I was too focused on simplicity for this very first jam game. :) Thank you for the comment and for playing!

After a while I found myself repeating and repeating the game, it has a lot of replayability, and it coordinates perfectly with the Game Jam theme!
