An interesting game, though the mechanics are inconsistent.

For example, if you change the clock, it changes time with it (or at least changes multiple clocks). That doesn’t make much sense, since the whole point is that you only affect the object you click on.

Logically, if you speed up only the clock, Tim wouldn’t be late, since if the clock runs fast, he only thinks he is late. And if you slow it down, Tim would be late because he wouldn’t realise that far more than 10 minutes have passed. But the game treats it like it’s the opposite.

So while the idea is good, the puzzles could be improved.

I thought this was fun! I liked fighting the character instead of being the character trying to win. I had a bit of a hard time figuring out where to click, for instance if I didn't click anywhere in the box before clicking the clock in the first level, i couldn't click the clock.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah that's a known bug and I plan on fixing it after the jam.

I had a chuckle with this game! It was twisted fun to torture the poor guy with these time fluctuations. Will you add more levels in the future?----

Please try out my game if you have the time :)

Developer

Hey thanks! I do have some ideas for extra levels but don't know when exactly that would happen.

Poor Tim. I gotta say trying to do this with just a track pad made it a lot harder; I enoyed the challenge though! The art style was really nice and minimalistic, did you base it on anything?

Developer

Hey thanks! Another trackpad hero is here, amazing!

About the art, it's sort of a different interpretation of Kuukiyomi which is also the main inspiration for this game. If you haven't played that one, you should!

Oh poor Tim, I was really trying to help him so I got "Failed" the first 3 times :D

Only then did it get to me... Nice realization of the jam theme!

Thanks!

Fun idea, trackpad made this much harder than I expected XD.

Developer

The chosen one is here! XD
I honestly wouldn't want to play with a trackpad but I am impressed you could!

Thanks for playing!

Good game! Feel bad for Tim tho, what did he do?

Developer

Thanks! Yeah It's a compatibility issue.. Might feel bad but can't do anything about it XD

Short but well polished game! I wished there were more levels to mess around in, or even alternate endings depending on what you did!

Developer

Thanks! I did have some ideas for more levels but due to the lack of appropriate tools (drawing tablet) work was very slow..

This game is pretty funny and looks great. It's on the short side but the quality is very good. Had a good time ruining Tim's day :)

Developer

Thank you :))

Genius idea, too bad that they are not more levels. It would be fun to speed up time during a test or to slow it down during a oral

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! I couldn't make a lot of art quickly because I didn't have my drawing tablet and had to work using a mouse.. but those sound like some fun ideas! I did think of exam as a prospective level but the idea of an oral sounds hilarious. Might include it if I develop this further.

Your Game Is Very Nice. Very Awesome Idea. Really Liked It. The Last Level Was The Most Funny. Your Game Art Was Super Cool. I Really Love Ruing Tim's Day

Developer

Thank you!

I really like this game!

The visuals and gameplay are reminiscent of games like Kuukiyomi but with the unique twist that you control the abstract concept of time rather than the character on screen which I really do like and fit the jam theme well.

I personally think if you expand the game further that it should be switched to holding the right or left mouse buttons because spam clicking them would grow quite tiresome after a while. Also rather than resetting the whole game when the player loses they should be brought to the beginning of the current level.

The overall story is enjoyable, I love that time hates tim for seemingly no reason.

Overall, though it was short, I really like the direction of this project and would love to see it adapted further with more mechanics and levels!

Hey thanks for the kind word and feedback!

I honestly did think about making it a button hold instead of click originally but this weird thought of "Maybe the game will be too easy then" sorta fogged my judgement which in retrospect shouldn't have mattered at all.

The game is really unique and fun, my only suggestion is to have more creative levels for the players to do, as it just seems repetitive to click a certain button over and over again. That being said the game is great, and the art is really good.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I did feel it felt a little repetitive but couldn't come up with ideas. Do let me know if you can think of some.

maybe you could try making multiple able to be slowed or faster, but only one being the correct one.

Developer

Yeah I think that might work well.  Thanks! I myself was also thinking of some osu-like popups for a change of pace if more levels are to be added.

I think your Game has a very fun idea, to ruin tims life that already appeals to a lot of people since ruining other people's life is a very fun Idea, but that being said I couldn't get past level 1 no matter how much I tried the bar just went to slowly which I think would be my first critic point, don't make the first level that hard, if players can't get past the first level they're not going to get to Enjoy the rest, but I think this is a great Idea and you should definately keep working on it!

Developer

Hey, thanks for the feedback! i indeed just didn't have a lot of time to plan out properly how players would perceive and interact with objects. It ended up being hard to figure out what to do.

It's actually really easy, you just have to right click (fast time) on the clock a few times and the progress bar advances quickly.
