Thank you for the feedback! This jam was quite an adventure, and I didn’t really find a smart way to explain what the player should do. In the end I tried using the signs, but I know it’s not very clear.

In the future I'd like to develop it further with some story, and I’d also love to expand the incremental and automation aspects.

Thanks again for trying the game and for the feedback!

yes, the WebGL version crashed for me three times at the same point, but the Windows build worked without any problems.

Maybe I didn’t hit the table, I’m not completely sure about that.

Some things in this game are fantastic: the door physics for a 2D game, the "height" system like being able to go down into the water or climb over the wall to get out.
The game feels very unique, and the horror + humor setting works really well.

The only downside for me was the gameplay itself: sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re actually hitting something with the axe, or if some objects are being hit by the eye beam. Also, in the WebGL version the game always crashed for me when I hit the body in scene 2

I’ll be totally honest: for a good part of the game I wasn’t really sure what I was doing, but the hacking minigame was really addicting. I really enjoyed it

Thanks for playing!

Yes, the models are definitely placeholder assets. I’m pretty terrible at anything even remotely artistic, and this was the first jam I participated in as a solo developer.

hahaha thank you, one of the best jobs in the world

Fantastic experience, one of the best played until now!
As others said I'd like to hold down the button to dig too. Anyway fantastic humor, audio and visuals. I liked the puzzles and it was funny to trying to reach the upgrades

Great graphics, a short but interesting experience.
Maybe it need a crouch button, I lost the oil behind the table and i can't retrieve it anymore xD

Thank you very much!

I'd like to develop more the incremental system of the game. I spent the first days experimenting with the furnace and the "horror" environment before figuring out where I wanted to take the gameplay hahaha

Thanks for playing!
Yes, the idea was to make things much more automated, but I built the whole shop and automation system on the last day of the jam. Thankfully there were those extra 24 hours to fix bugs, otherwise everything would have probably exploded xD

For the donuts, you need to drop them near the monster. You can also use the container to carry more than one at a time

The game is really addicting! I’d just suggest a little rebalancing: the first night is extremely hard, but from the second night, once the shop unlocks, it becomes a bit too easy. I started the third night with thousands of dollars more than I needed for the rent

Nice fps game also if I often found myself running around punching enemies, either to get more blood or because I ran out of ammo! It made some moments pretty chaotic and fun.

Thank you very much!
No there isn't a real goal, you just have to survive and buy upgrades to automate as much as possible

That damn chicken!
The game is really funny and some things are really no-sense, perfect mix of horror and humor!

I was almost at the end, but my flashlight died at the exact moment I got caught in a trap. For some reason I couldn’t look up anymore or disarm the trap, so I was stuck in the dark until the chicken found me again!

Thank you, I really enjoyed your game too!
For the creature that ate you, at the beginning it's very hard, but if you manage to buy some upgrades it becomes much easier :)

I really liked the game and the story!
The final with the increasing heartbeat sound combined with the final choice creates a lot of tension!

Very good horror graphic and audio. I didn't understand the game, I found a body in the act 1 and the game finished

Run Grade: S
Waves survived: 19
Enemies defeated: 53
Parts found: 21
Max hit damage: 4

The game is funny to play, I found more useful add defence, for various waves I was invincible with 3 Defence point.
I think I found a bug: player can remove and re-add body parts while in battle and recover all his hp.
On round 11 I was literally oneshotted by the enemy with blank sprite

The dialogues were really funny, but also so long. I wish I could accelerate them.

It doesn't seem too much horror, but time limits and the ground falling added a lot of pressure

The art and the distortion in the audio are nice.

I didn't understand what the Shift button does. It resized and i can't stand up again

Thank you!

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hi, another person had the same problem a few months ago.
I'm not sure what the problem could be, I think it depends on the fps. When I made this game I probably didn't even know how to manage movement and camera based on fps.

This was a one-week project, so I don't think I'll fix it, but I'd like to create other games with this combat system in the future so I appreciate immensely the feedback. This is absolutely a thing I have to look at for the next games. Thank you very much!

This is a "one-week project" I made years ago. Now I'm not thinking of making it on mac, sorry. I don't have a mac to build it in any case.

In the future, I hope to make other games with this combat system, and with more effort. So they could be on mac.

Thank you! :D

Thanks!

The game itself is nice, and I liked art and sound, but I think it needs some sort of feedback and tutorial. In the beginning I didn't understand what to do. I found the txt inside the zip with all written, but I think would be better to have it in game

I loved the surrealism of this man rolling around saving animals lol

I liked the game, rolling was so satisfying that sometimes I preferred to move around instead of saving the animals xD

As other comments said, the movement is a bit stiff, but the game is nice.

I liked the art style and the grapple mechanic, also if it wasn't so clear where it's possible to grapple at the beginning.

The game is funny and interesting, but I think it needs some sort of tutorial, because at the beginning I hadn't understood what I was supposed to do. And a bit of polish on the text too.

For me it was a lot hard to understand if I was really doing something or not. I think it needs some feedback on the button (for example, the item you select starts to follow the mouse) and some feedback on the plant too, to understand if you clicked correctly on it.

Apart from that, the game is really interesting. Peacefully and visually pleasing, nice job!

Really nice game! I found really hard to beat the spar guy, instead the final boss was so funny lol

One of the best entries in this jam!

I tried it, now it's really more difficult, maybe too much xD

Anyway nice job

I think there's something wrong with trying to use the direction of the input, instead of pressing to rotate continuously in a direction. For me it was really hard to play, I lose after two or three enemies

It was really hard to drive, but the idea is really funny.

And the ramp to jump is fantastic xD

The game is nice, but I didn't understand why there is that powerup that makes you fly. It makes you win too easy

This is a really nice game! As others said, stats were hard to understand at first

Ah ok, I thought you didn't use Unity because it wasn't written on the itch page xD

Anyway, my thinking hasn't changed. We are all here to get better and show what we can do

Yes. I don't know, maybe it's my English that is not so good and I didn't catch something important, but I think that it misses something to understand what I should choose

Yeah, make me know if there are updates.

I can't even imagine how hard is to make it works, I always use engines like unity or unreal, so the game is already working, I have only to make the gameplay. But I found the idea really brilliant. I saw something similar used in platform games, but never in a shooter, and it really surprised me.
