Another awesome entry! I had lots of fun playing and again the main highlights are the really responsive/ smooth and the attention to detail making everything feel complete. Also loved the bonus ending it was beautiful :' )
Loved the art and the writing was funny. Nice work!
Really nice game! I found really hard to beat the spar guy, instead the final boss was so funny lol
One of the best entries in this jam!
That final boss lol. Pretty fun game, died a lot, but I wanted to see it to the end, which is a good sign! I found the spear guy to be the easiest, followed by the crystal guy then the boss. Although I would like to see rolling more central to the game in one of the fights, eg roll over attack, hit enemy with opening, repeat (like in my fav dark souls boss, Artorias), instead I mostly used it for getting around faster. Maybe if the spearman was more difficult, and his attacks were better telegraphed, that would have been a good place for that kind of thing. nice work, I really like this one!
Fun game with good boss battles. A loving homage to Souls games. Liked the final boss ending ;)
After the last game you made I was really looking forward to seeing what you came up with. You did not dissapoint. The art is minimal but well thought through and pleasing. Lots of text but all a pleasure to read. Levels simple but not lacking. I liked the feel of each encounter and the 3 mini games vibe is really very pleasing. If I had to find a crit I would say that the actual hit mechanics felt a bit soft and would have benefited from juice and crispiness. Minor though as this is excellent and I'd be suprised if I don't see this game at the awards stream. Kudos
Really impressive work! There's a lot put into this game given the jam period, and I really appreciated the depth to it. The art, gameplay and music meshed together really well, and this game felt like something that, after being built on more, would be a really viable commercial release!
I enjoyed Rabarbar and Alhazred's fights, but I found the Spear Saint fight really really difficult given the weapon range and attack cooldown and I wasn't able to finish it. I would also recommend maybe using a color palette next time, as I feel like it would give a consistent feeling to the graphics that would really tie them all together.
Overall, great work! :D
I can see the Dark Souls inspiration. A tight little action romp focused on top-down 2D boss fights. I was enjoying it up until the Spear Saint boss fight, as I couldn't figure out how to beat them with the current gameplay mechanics in hand. It felt like the combination of his spear range vs. your sword range and inability to attack during health-loss cooldown made it impossible, and the dodge roll mechanic did not help me.
I fail to see the connection to the game jam theme as well. Despite this, I could see the creator's love for action-RPGs, and it was neat execution for a solo dev.
The game is really nice, and overall it flows pretty well :) Controls are a bit clunky, and I personally didn't enjoy the key binding. I would like to see future updates!
Just loved it!!! Particularly liked the gameplay, sound effects. If you don't mind, can you check out and rate my game?
