Very fun and entertaining submission. I had a great time! It's a little easy but for a solo run game in a week can't really fault you there. Game played great, super responsive and had a lot of character. Seems pretty clear you had a fun time with this!
Not bad at all, and since you did this by yourself, you should be proud. It works, it looks pretty good, and controls fine.
The potential for the swapping of movement is high, but I don't see it realized here. The levels were easy on their own, but once I grabbed the thing that made me fly, it trivialized the levels to the point where I didn't understand why I was able to switch. The switch seemed more like the goal to me than the actual goal. I would have liked to see some reason to switch to flying to traverse over something challenge, or switch to flying and then be forced to switch back, but that never happened. As it was, I switched to flying, and the level was a cakewalk. There were also several unintended paths that bypassed all the obstacles.
Still a great job, though. Keep it up.
I really enjoyed the movement of the two characters! The mechanics of this were fun, and I could see it being developed further into a full game that people would have a really great time with.
Good game, especially liked the gameplay and graphics. However you could improve the UI, right now, it looks kinda plain. However overall it was good.
If you don't mind, could you rate my game?
ok i will try!
A functional and competent platformer, but the level design is easy to a fault with not much in the way of a gradual mounting challenge from one level to the next and the jam theme isn't touched upon at all really.
There are clearly some sections where I'm supposed to collect the anti gravity power and fly into the next one to deactivate it which sounds interesting in theory, but it's all too easy for me to either fly around it and past it or fly through before it even has a chance to spawn into the level. But even if I did collect it and go back to regular gravity, the levels themselves are far too trivial.
Maybe add some moving platforms, moving buzz saws and crushing walls for the sequel?
thanks for the advice but adding new things could take 1 day too over a month i have to make them work and it would take a while
I liked it. I got ExitPath vibes and being reminded of that is no bad thing. The movement was slinky and nice and that is no easy feat. It was probably too easy as the levels had no real peril but I enjoyed my speed run and it has a lot of potential.
wow thanks
The game is nice, but I didn't understand why there is that powerup that makes you fly. It makes you win too easy
thats why i added it without it you cant beat it
Playable, if done in a jam. Unfortunately, the game itself wasn't designed with mind or even thought apparently given to 'fit' the theme of 'every life counts'. At a bare boned minimum, counting even 'how many times' one died at the end of "lazy game" would have veered it towards '2' on the theme fitting lens. Given how the gameplay resembled Super Meat Boy, with a unique twist... (Albert one, that with how it was implemented, sucked some of the 'fun' that could have been had on the platformer elements, in contrast to easing challenge.)
first this game ISNT lazy i worked and worked so then you come up and start maybe your just saying this to win :| cause i aint buyin it bruh
i use my mind to this game so yea you do you you aint gonna win with a comment like this
plus if i wanted to i could just give your game 1 star
Nice Job for being a solo developer! I suggest you put a bit more effort on you itch page, though, because there’s no way someone would know even where the controls are if you don’t explain them… That set aside, the gameplay was a bit too easy and out of theme, in my opinion, but you managed to put some consistency in the game and that’s a good starting point!
well thanks and thanks for the awesome advice
