I love maze crawlers. The art is fine and the flashlight mechanics is very interesting although I think the battery runs out too fast. The level design is very interersting with a vent travel mechanism similar to Among Us felt very nice, disabling the traps is fun. Good job!

Quite a nice atmosphere, the game is a little challenging with the tightness of the batteries but otherwise fun. I did notice that changing the SFX volume would also adjust the music but otherwise the game played fantastically. Great Job!

Developer

thank you! the flashlight was a bit hard to balance, and the sound setup got bad connected to de audio bus. We will fix that when the Jam end. We are glad you like it!

Great job creating a spooking atmosphere, I love what you did with the audio and light. My only complaint what that I didn’t realize I picked up a flashlight and could turn it off. Wasted my whole first battery on nothing.

Developer

Thank you! the spooky atmosphere was very much important. Yes, there were some tooltips we couldn't add because the lak of time, but we are working in a version with some bug fix and a few feature added, that we wrote down from your comments.

Cool game, the initial part was the hardest for me because I couldnt find any batteries close to the first monster, the lighting looks good and the sfx helps to detect the monsters, sometime I would have to leave an item area and enter it again to pick it up, the textnotes and key appearing to interact are nice details, good job!

Developer(+1)

The lighting was a hard part to get work well, i still don't know if i did it correctly, but i got away with it. The sfx was as important as the light, because tell you a lot of what you cant see, and makes you anxious, because lets you know you are not alone in the dark.

Notes were important too, for me, games should always tell a story, some time they not need to (tetris, pacman, etc...), but i think they should xD.

Thanks for playing!

This is a dungeon crawler featuring a flashlight with 2 seconds of battery.

I couldn't get past the journalist filter of a single monster. I used my flashlight to look around and find my way, which generally left me with no flashlight to ward off monsters.

What is here is competently made, but I couldn't really explore any of it. I'll have to chalk this one up and move on. Please come back in January!

Developer

The duration of the battery is for make you run from the monsters, and there are battery hidden all around, so you never run out. Yes you cant explore much, it was just a tinny level. Thank you for playing it and for your feedback, see you in January.

Sweet little game. Liked it.

The flashlight battery seems a tad tight... but then again there was only one point in my run where I was without anything so it was just right :D

Not sure if it was on my end only, but none of the note past the first one seemed to open for me after picking up the flashlight :'(. Not sure if those were lore or tutorial.

Developer

Thank you! well in deed the batery is tight, because the level is litle and there wasn't much to tell. Yes the notes were just lore, tryng to tella story of a prisioner before you who also scape and he leaves them like a track you could follow.
We are taking notes and fixing the bugs, to finish and wrap up the game when the jam ends.

So thanks a lot, we are glad you like it.

Cool game. Neat work on 2D lights and the flashlight mechanic is nice. Good job.

Developer

Thanks a lot, we are not sure if the light were right, i still don't understand completely how they supposed to work, but we got away with it.

And the flashlight mechanic was everything, we thought about people tryharding other games, and we did want the same for ours.

We are glad you like it, thanks for playing it.

I loved the atmosphere and how be anxious when the monsters start chase me! And the “piggy oink” of the monsters makes me rofl the first time I heard 🤣🤣. This game gave me immersion, really loved it.

Developer(+1)

We are glad you like it! Ye,s we focus trying to give it that feelings to the player of immersion and anxious. The "piggy oink" it's me "oinking" to the mic xD.

We are truly glad you love it!

I really love this game... The atmosphere is truly captivating, and the mechanics involving light and monsters are great. I would suggest adding a few checkpoints to enhance the concept. But I believe this is a prototype that should definitely be developed further.

Developer(+1)

We are glad you love it! we loved doing it!

We try to make and atmosphere were you feel claustrophobic and lost in the dark. We try to keep the mechanic simple, but solid. We didn't had time to make checkpoints, but they were previste in some safe spots. We also think it could be a biggest game some time, i hope we make it. Thanks for playing it.

It is pretty hard! Took me a couple tries to get out, but I got out. I jumped the first time the monster caught me hehe

Developer

We are happy to know you play our game and you manage to scape, it was intended to be scary, but not to much, just a little, in a cartoonish way. Thanks for playing it!
