Hey sadly I couldnt beat it. Really creative idea of making your own platforms, something weird that happens to me is that if I place a platform at the top of the jump I cant reach it afterwards, I think in the places where you get the colectables the light should stay after you pick them up, so the player can "rest" a bit or even having unlimited platforms that breaks after some time or after the player jumps on then would make the game easier. Its a very unique platformer, good job!

Thank you for playing my game!

I'm taking that ideas into my list of things to patch in once the jam ends :D. I wanted to add more rooms/levels centered around the whole platform + light the wasted cocoon leaves behind, but spent quite a bit of time thinking how I'd implement it with a reset feature... after reading some of the comments, I actually have an idea how to make it work in a way which will not make it too easy :D. Thanks for the suggestions.

This is a platformer where you construct your own platforms to get around.

Unfortunately, I found the floaty movement to be incredibly frustrating. Since your time in the darkness is too valuable, missing is such an intense punishment that you lose and restart the game. Every restart would see me get a little bit further, but this style of progression does not satisfy enough on its own.

Learn from this, and come back in January!

Thanks for playing my game :)

I hope I'm able to participate in the upcoming one, was a nice first experience/fun.

This is a cute game. I like the sprites for the moth and the other small characters. The weightlifting pupa is funny. The cocoon/shooting mechanic works pretty well I think. The music is good too.

I also found it a bit difficult to make progress. My main suggestion would be to perhaps add checkpoints at some screens so that you don't have to start over from the beginning each time, although maybe that would make it too easy? Also, it seems the 'Wake again' button at the end doesn't work for me (playing on the windows version), but I expect that would just restart the game, so it doesn't really matter.

Thank you for playing! :)

I've thought about adding save/respawn points in, but boggled my mind until I lost track of time.
Also thank you for pointing out that bug at the end (yeah it's supposed to do that) ... not sure if I can fix it whilst the jam is running (as it's not crashing the game)

Since it is not game-breaking, I wouldn't worry about fixing it while the voting is still ongoing.

Good job putting the GWJ screens at the start.

The game is too hard.  I couldn't past the 3rd area.  I think it's because the controls weren't like a traditional platformer but the level design was more in line with traditional platformers.  Looking at the launch trajectory from the cacoon-ing mechanic, the level needs to be much bigger with bigger gaps.

Not sure if you did the music but it's very catchy and soothing.  Without it, it'd be hard to play this game a dozen or more times.

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate your thoughts :).

Also thank you for playing my game. Yeah, definetely see that the levels are a bit too traditional, and overall design is bit hard (now that I look at it).   I feel like I could've done a lot more in that regard, but now only see systems and mechanics which could've made that more feasible in my mind.

On the music, unfortunately no, it wasn't created by me. The music is from https://opengameart.org/content/time-to-puzzle-it-up. Tried to make my own music, but then wasn't able to create a tune I liked (and wasted too much time trying to) :'(
