You really captured the spooky nature of those strange and whimsical creatures. Such vivid description was enough to form an image in my head.

Wow, nice writing!

Got a little confused by the loop but overall the characters and writing are pretty solid. Certainly nails the spooky theme :)

Thanks for playing :)

I liked a lot the writing and the characters (specially the three raccoons in a trench coat). :)

Developer(+1)

They were my favourite too haha!

This is great. Loved the characters and actually laughed a couple of times!

Developer

That's great, thanks for playing!

I don’t think I got a single order ‘correct’ but I had a great time. Good writing that perfectly set a tone of uneasiness, loved it!

Thank you!

The writing is great, I felt so bad when I consistently disappointed customers. Really reminds me of when I was an actual barista.

Developer(+1)

Haha, I was drawing on personal experience there, constantly disappointing customers with too high expectations...

The writing is superb, really great. I felt completely immersed in the game, and you showed that graphics are not necessary to make us feel the environment, which is very inspiring for people like me who love creating stories for games. It was a genuinely frightening and tense experience, even though we can replay it, the first time always carries a sense of mystery and constant tension, and you captured that perfectly. I chose all the options because I played it many, many times, and I really enjoyed every detail you included. Background music would greatly enhance the immersion, but that's not a problem because everything works perfectly. Congratulations on the game, I don't have enough words to describe how amazing I found the entire narrative.

That is so kind of you to say! I really like writing things which create uncanny experiences and contradict themselves in fiction vs realism - spooky coffee was a perfect theme for this!

I really liked your game too, and I think you succeeded in creating a really creepy experience using very few components - the combination of short and simple written and visual clues worked brilliantly.

Thank you so much for the lovely considered feedback!

Wow, this was so eerie and well written! The creepy character descriptions paired with the nonchalant reaction of the main character really heightens the surreal vibe, and the way the game loops back on itself gives a strange feeling of deja vu. It reminds me of some weird fiction writers like China Mieville or Jeff Vandermeer. I'd love to have some form of music or sound effects to heighten the mood. But as it stands, great work!

Wow thanks for the feedback, that's exactly what I was going for! You're right, I was planning on adding music but didn't have time. I will definitely be looking Mieville and Vandermeer up, thanks for the suggestions :)

This game makes me feel scared.

Developer

It feels a bit weird to say I'm glad about that but I'm happy it had the intended effect!

Glad you liked it, thank you!
