congrats! Please see the community post to send me your discord name.
Thank you so much! :) will do
Really creative and well executed idea! I like to think I'm pretty good at art, but evidently I've got some work to do. Though I'll take an 8/10 for my crimes lol
Thank you! I am sure that you deserve a 10/10! I will have a talk with our latte art judges.. 😂
Very very fun! Also really interested in how the rating system is calculated overall. Can't tell if I got a 1/10 or a 7/10, but I'll just assume that it's a 7 and that I'm an artistic genius >:D
The ratings are calculated by comparing pixels in the textures. Basically it just checks how many pixels that are white in the template are correctly colored.
About your drawing: Thats definitely a 7/10. Looks real good. Well done! :D
Does it in turn also compare the non-white pixels to the template then? Just really curious because I think it's cool game design. Your game is easily one of my top favorites of the whole jam.
This was awesome. Great game concept. I had a lot of fun but missed being able to have a little more precision when drawing
I am very happy you liked it! :D Yeah, the lack of precision was exactly my experience from trying latte art in real life. I tried to replicate that feeling.
Very interesting take!I love how the milk actually expands like it does when making a latte, definitely reminded me of my failed latte art attempts.
Thank you! I also remembered this from trying latte art irl. It makes the thing 100% harder.
I liked it a lot, very relaxing and it let me draw many spooky lattes. Although the music and sounds are free of use, I think they fit well to the game. Great! :3
thanks! :)
Very cool take on introducing coffee into a game! Would have loved if there was some sort of end condition (seemed like the texts just started to loop?). But great vibes and aesthetic, loved it.
Thank you! Yeah it just loops. I figured this way people could try again to create the perfect artwork. Also I did not really want to have a final score because I wanted more of a chill game. I am happy you enjoyed it.
That makes a lot of sense, and I would say you nailed it, was a perfect chill game.
Nice and cozy game! (I'm definitely not a latte artist lmao, but the other person texting said otherwise and kept me going). Good luck!
Thank you! Latte art is difficult, its normal.
This really tapped into an urge I have to draw things in foam, it was really a great chill out cosy game and a really clever concept, one of few submissions that made me think "aw that is a GREAT idea".
Thank you! I am happy you found your passion in being a barista :)
I was a barista irl for a year or so, and I sucked at this, so this is a fun way to do it well
This was such a chill and cozy experience - I loved the vibes. The palette is so nice and used so well. Awesome game!
Thank you!
Magnificent artwork, absolutely beautiful. I loved the choice of colors, it was excellent and created a very pleasant atmosphere. The mechanics are really cool and I enjoyed the drawing aspect. I'm curious about the overall concept of this mechanic, as I found it quite interesting. Maybe I'll look into it in the future. The music and sound effects were also great, they added a lot to the immersion. Truly, an excellent project. The experience while playing was great, very relaxing and enjoyable. Congratulations!
Thank you! If you want to try something like this I am happy to share some stuff with you implementation wise: The drawing works by spawning metaballs. just google “metaball shader godot” and you will find something similar. The resulting texture is then compared to a target texture and the score is calculated. I am happy you enjoyed the game. :)
Thank you very much for your attention and for sharing the information, it will be very useful. I greatly appreciate you giving me direction regarding the mechanics you implemented, it will certainly be very useful in future projects. I will find an effective way to adapt it for Game Maker (hopefully it's possible). I wish you much success in your career as a developer, you have enormous potential, both in art and programming, as well as in general aspects of game development.
Thank you for the kind words. it means a lot. I wish you the best as well!
what relaxing!
Thank you for playing!
Heyo! Really lo-fi vibes! I loved the main mechanic of the game!
Thank you!
Really great work! I love the color palette, UX design, and chill vibes. I find the drawing controls a little tough, as I have been unable to get a score above 7/10, but that is probably just a me problem.
Thank you for playing! No worries, the drawing is quite difficult. I managed to get some 10/10s while testing (pumpkin is kinda forgiving) but mostly I scored 7s as well.
Such a cosy little game! Loved it
Thank you for playing. :)
GENIUS. I loved it so much. I may have cheated and used my tablet, rofl
Thank you! :) Also nice to know that it works on a tablet as well.
This was really fun! The art was so cute even if I was not the best at latte art. I really liked the messages as well! :)
No worries, I am sure you did great! Glad you liked it!
