ahhh thank you so much!! Im glad you liked it :)

big boy!

really beautiful artwork! intriguing and melancholy game

this was so good! the art was beautiful, i loved the first person/close up shots (not sure what to call them sorry) especially! The music made it so atmospheric, really great game :)

thank you so much!!! :D

this was so sweet! the art is so lovely

this was really cool!! I love your use of colour, its such a vibrant world :) and love the cows

this was so sweet! the stars and the poem are so beautiful :)

thank you so much for the kind words!

thank you so much! <3

i loved this! the writing and the art were really beautiful :) I really liked the concept of angels not being used/having the language for wanting something.

maybe something spring-themed? blossoms, tulips, lightening days, egg.

I was thinking this too! If there was an unofficial jam made (if adam's ok with that) then i'd definitely join it!

this looks really cool! the art looks really beautiful as well, incredible that youve been doing it manually.

happens to the best of us :/

This was really good! A really sinister atmosphere and the animations were so impressive.

this was so good! I loved the art, especially the sunrays were so gorgeous. The ending was really bittersweet and reading everyone's messages was so enjoyable :)

really poetic! and beautiful art.

I loved this!!! The writing style was beautiful, it was so cool piecing together the little mysteries and all the questions that arose. The music also fit so well! Really really cool and well made.

cool little game! I could only get to the traincar, is there another way out?

So cool! The art was absolutely insane, so many different scenes and styles and they all worked so well! A real sense of wonder and exploration, and of unease after you meet the cat. loved this game!

this game is beautiful! I especially love the first animation of who you're following as you walk towards the edge of the bridge (and at the end). The caves/underworld feels beautiful and vast despite bitsys small rooms. melancholy :)

I really liked this! The artstyle was really good, i especially loved the use of colour. The writing was really melodic, i loved the bit about artificial-ness! :)

thank you!!! :D

hehe <3

Hi! I'm also someone who has never had any coding experience and having started learning how to make games through bitsy. Personally for me, for my first interactions with bitsy I found it a lot easier to focus on 'plain bitsy' (without hacks) and trying to make little messy interactive/fiction games, learning to add new elements as I go.

I think this is because when things go wrong, there's less unfamiliar things to look through to see what the problem is, so it's easier to rectify when there's less things to think about, and then add more things when I feel more familiar/confident with whatever I've been doing. At the moment, I don't really know enough about coding to understand why the hacks are or aren't working without a LOT of googling/asking for help.

I also found it easier to start by just messing around and continually adding to a concept/idea as you go, rather than try and envision a finished product and work towards that. (not saying you're doing that, was just a trap I fell into at the start, which made it difficult because I wasn't aware of the parameters of bitsy and what I could do within the system.)

I'm not sure if you've found it already, but Borksy by Sean.S. Leblanc is really helpful for incorporating hacks if you wanted to go down that route. - https://ayolland.itch.io/borksy . I also found Dan Cox's videos really helpful for learning bitsy - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlXuD3kyVEr5sF4iM2CszNt-fSVZDqxUm.

But that's just what I've personally found! If there's a certain hack that's really inspires you and makes you happy trying to learn it, then go for it!

Hope that maybe helps a little bit! :)

really cool! I really liked your writing and the art was amazing.

"home", "decorating", "cold", "the long dark."?

this was cool! really trippy

Thank you so much!! This comment is so kind, I'm really proud you liked the art and the characters :) Thank you for playing <33

Thank you so much for playing and leaving such a kind comment! I'm really happy you felt that every location was distinct, I was hoping to make each section feel like you were going somewhere new so hopefully I achieved that a bit!

Sorry about the bug with Caro and the snowglobe - I have fixed it now so you should be able to show Auk the snowglobe, and progress Caro's dialogue lines as well as unlock some ending dialogue.

I haven't figured out how to make the embedded music consistently play in the browser but I'm glad you though the recommended playlist fit the game! Thank you again for playing :)

Thank you for playing!! Sorry about the snowglobe glitch, I have fixed that section of the game now so you can show the snowglobe to Auk.

Thank you!! Sorry about the snowglobe glitch, I hope it didn't impact the game too much and it is fixed now! Thank you for leaving such a kind comment!

Thank you so so much! I'm really glad you liked the sunfall, it was one of my favourite sections to make. Thanks so much for playing :D <33

Thank you so much for playing and leaving kind words! I'm really glad you liked the world and characters :D

Sorry about the glitch with the snowglobe, I fixed it now. I hope it didn't impact your experience too much!

Thank you so so much for playing and for leaving such kind and helpful feedback! (And sorry it's taken so long to respond!) I really appreciate it!

Thank you for letting me know about the bugs in the game!

I have (fingers crossed!) fixed the glitch with the snowglobe so you can now take the snowglobe and show it to Auk, which also lets you unlock some ending dialogue that you get when you show Auk all four.

I haven't yet fixed the bug where you get stuck if you re-enter the fishing area, but am working on it :).

Thanks again for playing!

This was amazing! I had so much fun playing this - your writing really hits the spot where it both crafts such an interesting and rich world, but is also succinct enough to keep up the tension/fast pace of the game. The events all matched the eerie tone so well, even though they were random they still felt like they were part of a cohesive story (which is really hard to do with solo rpgs!) I managed to win the Screams Abroad path, and had a lot of fun doing so!

thank you so much for playing and for the kind review! :)

thank you for playing!! :)
