What an incredible creative graphics style. Never saw something like that. May I ask how you made it and/or what was the inspiration for that?

At the beginning was bit confused by the buttons and thought have to play with them, because WASD did not work and did not try arrows first^^

The colliders in level 3 somehow feel a bit too big. At least tried it several times now on 2 different ways, but can't complete it unfortunately.

So all in all a very nice game, just wished i could have played it a bit further :-)

Developer

so pleased you enjoyed it. The graphics where made using shapes in PowerPoint then i applied a filter in PowerPoint and exported. I was pleased with the results. Check out some of my other games for more. The owl witch and Plague and Flames used similar graphic filters... sorry to hear u got stuck on level 3... remember u can skip a level on the map to get the most out of the game. Thanks again for playing ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘ hope u will try my other games if u get time

wow, ok graphics in PowerPoint is indeed really creative^^

Sure, definitely will check out the other, too. Thank you

The idea for the game is great, the music is atmospheric, but the optimization is a bit weak, not very convenient controls, although simple

Developer

thank you for the feedback. Were u playing on desktop or mobile  may I ask? Did u like the graphics at all. Feedback has been positive in general ๐Ÿ˜€

Really enjoyed  the game. Art style was very unique and I liked it a lot. Only thing I have to say is the collision felt inaccurate at times and I died when I didn't touch something. Other than that, had a lot of fun!

Developer(+1)

So pleased you enjoyed it and thank you for playing. You've got to watch out for those invisible fishies haha.

In all honesty I did not came across this in testing but was quite rushedtrue to jam time constraints. Thank you for the feedback and I will check this after the jam. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Good game, i really liked the graphics of the game. I wish you could move in 2 directions at once (e.g.: up and left) when using arrow keys.

Developer

thanks for the feedback. Oh the controls might have been an over sight by me. What u suggested might have been better. Felt more like swimming under water then which is quite a free and liberating experience ๐Ÿคฃ glad u liked the graphics however ๐Ÿ™‚

Great game! I like the artstyle!

Developer(+1)

thank you. When your a solo dev u need to save time to get the 'right' look. So I drew the vector shapes and then exported those as images before running the filter in PP. You might enjoy the graphics in my game the Owl Witch too. I dud a similar thing. It's on my page. ๐Ÿฆ‰ ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ  Enjoy it if u have time! Thanks again

Solid submission for 7 days! for some reason, most of the buttons were triggered right when you hover over them, plus the game would feel a lot better if the player faced where you were swimming, and not just left/right. But the graphics were really interesting, its like everything was sown together :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the game ๐ŸŽฎ ๐Ÿ™Œ  I quite like the movement as you generally stay horizontal when u scuba dive. The game is super realistic remember haha.... not!!! Haha the graphic have been enjoyed by alot of people  which is great. Thank again for playing.

I can't play the game, unfortunately. I get stuck in this screen:
I click On and Off but nothing happens

Developer

oh no :( can I asked what broswer u were playing it in? Also if u wanted to play you could try a mobile ๐Ÿ“ฑ  it certainly seems to work better on that.

Nice game I really like the visuals.

Developer

thank you. The visuals have seemed to have gone down well with players and fellow jammers. Please feel free to check out my other games on my page. The Owl Witch also has some interesting visuals.

I loved the graphics, it looks like hand paint, sounds was nice too. It is cool to have quest variations. Good job !

Developer(+1)

huge thanks for the feedback. Glad u enjoyed the different levels and what different parts of the gameplay included ๐Ÿ‘Œ  check out some of my other games if you get the time. You might well enjoy neon city rush. Its a two parter so quite long . Thank you again

Wow I love the graphics, they are soo unique! I haven't seen a game like it art wise, and definitely not in this game jam yet. If it's okay to ask, how did you achieve this look? Aside from the art, great selection of missions to pick from providing a nice variety. Awesome entry, great job!

Developer

cheers for the feedback. The visuals were created in PowerPoint believe it or not. I do that for a job so always get a moment to look at some if the features.

Nice game, very cool visual style.

Developer

soooo pleased you enjoyed it. We're you able to complete it. The race dive can be quite tricky. Plenty more games on my page of you want to check them out. You might like lost bot 64 ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ‘

Really impressive visuals, the way the coral and underwater scenes looked was amazing. I had fun, nice work!

Developer

huge thanks for the feedback. I will make sure to also play your game. It looks cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž  check out my page for more games if u fancy it. You might like Nos 4 Speed ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ›ปโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

I'd love to try it but I am stuck on a screen that looks like this. None of the buttons do anything aside from make the audio glitch, it seems to be impossible to leave this screen and access the game.

Developer(+1)

oh no. Not sure why that has happened. Could try it on phone or a different Web browser. How annoying ๐Ÿ™„

Submitted

It worked at least somewhat on another browser and then I hit a weird glitch that didn't even seem to want me to play the actual game. This was just using arrow keys..

Developer(+1)

God that never came up in testing. How annoying. Thank you for taking the time to post the video. Legend! Il try and fix it ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜’

I liked retro design

Cool game

Developer

thanks you for the feedback and glad u enjoyed exploring the under water world. Had alot of fun making it all. Check out my other games on my page if you have time ๐Ÿ‘ you might like Neon City Rush... it's a two parter ๐Ÿ‘

Submitted(+1)

Amazing retro design and cool game! Totally didn't take me like 20 tries to beat levels 3 & 7 XD.

Developer

dude some of those levels are tricky. As a solo dev I find you test a fair bit and naturally get good at it. Then when u release it people say it's abit too hard. I am still learning. Loads of other games on my page of you get time to check them out. Would love views n feedback. Nice 1!

Submitted

No worries man I feel your pain as a solo dev myself. I think it's great that you made these levels challenging because that way it makes the game more worth beating, but that's just my opinion. Also, whenever I get the chance, I'll definitely check out your other games! I'm fairly new myself and am learning a bunch as I go.

Developer

yep. I've been deving for about 5 years using gdevelop. It's really moved on as a scene since then. Lots of people doing cool stuff (putting mine often to shame) but hey how! It's allll goooooddd!!!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting artstyle choice, i mean the backgrounds, they look kinda mosaics. I would've preferred it if the character could be controlled by wasd or arrow keys, instead of UI direction buttons. I appreciate the handdrawn assets made by you, in a short time. I like add various different levels and how travel to those levels from the map. I think overall it's a nice little project for a game jam

Developer(+1)

thanks for your detailed feedback. I used a simple mosaic filter on PowerPoint of all things.

Submitted(+1)

Love the retro unique art style.

Developer

thank you so much. People seem to like the design which is great ๐Ÿ‘  check out my other games if you have time. M ISLAND is pretty cool and it's a two parter. So plenty to see. Thanks again ๐Ÿ‘

Submitted

Great game .artstyle is very unique .

Developer

thank you. I will also try your game soon. It looks a great take on the theme. Check out my other games if you have time. You might enjoy beaver's dam. The waterfall level took ages ๐Ÿ‘Œโค๏ธ๐Ÿฆซ

A unique take with the zoomed-in CRT TV pixel effect which really gives it a story/scrapbook-style gameplay! The UI buttons go out of screen on doing full screen tho (not an issue due to the arrow controls). Choosing from a variety of mission also seems fun but takes away the desire to reach the last boss of the game kind of feeling. Nice game overall.

Developer(+1)

thanks for the indepth feedback. The level selection map was to allow players to return to the game and pick up were they left off. I agree however it might take away from that feeling of progress. Glad you enjoyed the game. Check out my other games if u have time. You love to hear your views. Being a solo dev means I can get caught up in things which either don't work or need tuning. Thank you again ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Submitted

I loved the whole concept of the game, makes for an interesting casual game. The UI is also cool

Developer

thank you. I was pleased with the ui and how u start on the boat choosing were to go. If u get time you might like โ˜ ๏ธPlague and Flames ๐Ÿ”ฅ on my page. It's like 2 games in one and has a similar way of choosing the levels. It's probably abit more slick in all honesty (least I hope it is) Enjoy!!! ๐Ÿ˜
